"Designers Emily Current and Merritt Elliott are known for their denim line Current/Elliott. In 2015, they launched the GREAT., a vintage-inspired line of denim, embroidered sweatshirts, and super soft tees. The 1,800-square-foot space sits on a well-trafficked stretch of Melrose Avenue, and features plenty of thoughtful details: Fixtures are inspired by antique brass buttons and rivets on denim, Venetian Murano glass chandeliers hang overhead, and there’s a wall lined with hand-painted green Moroccan tile—a nod to the brand’s signature army jackets. Another visual coup is the wallcovering, done in collaboration with Portola paint, and meant to resemble timeworn denim. There’s the core line, for which they’re best known, but there are also lots of one-offs: a hand-selected assortment of vintage clothes and jewelry, plus little things that make great gifts, like perfume from Coqui Coqui, embroidered bandanas, and beautifully wrapped sage bundles."

Very helpful staff. Great sweats and tops for layering. Very comfortable, casual but versatile. Jeans and great jackets as well.

Very cute “high end” cottons but did not feel welcome by staff and was stated down to the point I didn’t want to unfold their 95$ shirt that I probably would have bought (even at its premium price).

The absolute worst customer service... they do not care about brand loyalty nor sales. I will not be buying any of their pieces in the future.

One of the best womenswear stores in LA for casual basics. They have hands down the beat sweats and tees. Also very cute casual wear.

Yelp
I call myself a "Great Girl," so get ready for a love fest of a review. I'll start with the quality. Their sweatshirts, tees and sweatpants hold up and get softer and softer with each wash. They fit nicely too -- not the usual "bulky" sweatshirt look. The more upscale clothing pieces they carry are unique -- great printed dresses, outerwear that has some personality, and a solid selection of pieces that are not only stylish and cool, but made very well. The best part of the store is the staff who are all friendly, knowledgable about the line and could qualify as full-fledged stylists. They know what will look good on you and make great recommendations. The service is friendly but never overly solicitous. And I love going in there. Yes, the prices aren't cheap, but neither is the quality or look of the clothing so I'm willing to spend more for something that will last that I love. Abby helped me buy some new pieces for a trip I was going on and the pieces she recommended (that I wasn't even going to try on by the way) are now my FAVORITE pieces that look great on me and I wear all the time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this lovely store and the wonderful people in it!

Yelp
The service and location are great at The Great! I enjoyed the textures and textile quality throughout Tge store. The parking is difficult at this end of Melrose but lucky for you there are a myriad of valet services to assist. Tge neighborhood is heavily restricted. Read each sign cluster multiple times!!! The Great had excellent service.

Yelp
I went to a vip event at the Great this evening to encounters such rude and angry associates. With entitlement, an employee told me she's been waiting for quite some time with her click of friends. With rudeness and questioning why I was there causing trouble as waiting in line for a reef. This associate appearently mentioned she managed the vip list. She was extremely aggressive and should consider a new role in life. Why she felt she had to be such a negative influence on people was beyond me. I hope management reevaluates staffing for events. Such a shame.

Yelp
Super rude staff here. Some friends and I stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the patio because the gate was open and the employee started watering the plants and table? She almost watered my Gucci bag just to be a dick. She then told us that it was a private space and that it was awkward for us to be there. There was no sign that said private property. I would have gone and spent money if it was a warm environment but it was so awkward and rude I'll never be back.

Yelp
Love love love .. they have the cutest styles for summer and staff is so friendly/helpful . I wasn't sure if my sizes and the ladies help me find the right fit. I also got my mom the cutest Daisy print bag.

Yelp
After stalking the website , I decided to make it down to the store . I am no longer ordering online and always coming into this beautiful store . The Salesladies were so sweet and gracious . I found everything I wanted to buy . I love this brand so much ! The quality of the clothes is worth every penny . Every single collection is so thoughtfully beautiful.

Yelp
The clothing looks cute in photos and on the models. It is way overpriced crap, some made in the US most made in India. I'm embarrassed to say I spent over $150 on sweatpants. I could have gotten the same thing only better quality at Target. The Great has a good marketing program. Please don't be victim to it. I have purchased 7 items and only one has not needed to be repaired. It really is awful.

Yelp
Strange vibe doesn't match branding at all. Customer service not so much. No hello.

Yelp
This boutique designed and copied the traditional blouse of Sibiu and Muntenian regions of Romania. They were caught in social media and did not #givecredit to the culture they took from. I encourage them to acknowledge the culture that they felt inspired to create fashion for their own store brand.
