Step into a vibrant realm at The Golden Tiki, where whimsical decor meets deliciously potent tropical cocktails and a lively party atmosphere.
"Like stepping into a grown-up Disneyland, the Golden Tiki is a tiki bar turned up to 11. Sure, there’s your classic mai tais and painkillers and glowing lanterns. But there are also animatronic birds, water fountains, a guzzle-worthy banana batida, and a ceiling of LED stars that shoot over the bar. The tiki bar is open 24 hours, but if you’re visiting on a weekend, you should get a reservation." - Janna Karel
"This Las Vegas classic is going full Christmas with decked-out halls and five brand-new holiday drinks to welcome the last month of the year, along with some special events. Stop in for Christmas in the Clam on December 3, 8, 15, and 22 from 8 to 10 p.m. for an entirely new selection of cocktails, and go for a food and drink pairing for the Golden Tiki Holiday Variety Burlesque show on select dates, hosted by a sassy Mrs. Claus and her friends." - Jen Avison Smith
"The Golden Tiki is open all hours of the night to serve banana batidas, painkillers, and mai tais amid the ample tiki decor. Plus, the 24-hour food menu also includes crab rangoon, coconut shrimp, poke bowls, and fried rice, among other tiki bar fare." - Janna Karel
"With its own semi-private entrance from the rear of the venue, the Captain’s Lair provides a cozy, secluded space away from the rest of the island-themed oasis to sip on a mai tai or enjoy a Dole soft serve with dark rum after munching on crab rangoons, coconut shrimp and char sui ribs." - Emmy Kasten
"There’s a lot to look at inside Golden Tiki, one of Las Vegas’s most popular tiki joints. There’s the flickering night sky on the ceiling, the (fake) shrunken heads of celebrities hung along the walls, the phallic stained-glass art above the bar, plus the Disney-inspired animatronic birds that spew dirty jokes. The bar was conceived as “an adult Disneyland,” and the connection continues with offerings like Dole Whip, which is a favorite concession at the theme park’s Tiki Room. Unlike at Disneyland, though, at Golden Tiki you can get your Dole Whip with rum or as part of a cocktail like the Viking Tiki Negroni, where it’s spiked with vermouth, mead, and aquavit. Golden Tiki serves both classic tropical drinks and in-house concoctions, from citrus-y, boozy Navy Grog to the Rings of Saturn, a blend of gin, citrus, and passion fruit. If you want your drink to catch the attention of the whole bar, however, ask for the bartender to flame it. It’s only a dollar more in return for an eye-popping tower of fire sprayed above your drink. There’s a lot of entertainment on the menu. Not only can you have your drink lit on fire, but you can order it in a hollowed-out pineapple or in a fishbowl with straws for two to four people. Golden Tiki also offers rum flights, as well as a flight of three of its most popular drinks—the Painkiller, Mai Thai, and Piranha Punch. To sop up all the booze, there’s also a food menu which ranges from crab Rangoon to a Hawaiian-style plate lunch. Know Before You Go Golden Tiki is open 24 hours, but if you'd like to go in the evening or on a weekend, it's best to make a reservation." - Anne Ewbank
