The Fontaine is really nice. The rooms are large and exactly as pictured. The large showers are great. The restaurant and bar (901) are really very nice. The staff goes out of their way for you. Jesse, at the front desk, was the star of the show. She was extremely polite and professional, and genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our stay. If you have breakfast at the 901, you must have the pancakes. They are fantastic. Highly recommended.

Disappointed with My Stay at The Fontaine My recent stay at The Fontaine was not what I expected, leaving me with mixed feelings and room for improvement. First, I’d like to acknowledge the front desk staff, who were exceptional—kind, attentive, and very helpful. Their professionalism stood out and was the highlight of my experience. However, my issues stem primarily from the door and kitchen staff. Upon check-in, the gentleman at the door seemed visibly annoyed when assisting with my luggage (three suitcases due to work). I noticed his demeanor and refrained from asking for help during checkout. What bothered me most was his consistent refusal to open the door whenever he saw me struggling with my luggage—a small gesture that would have made a big difference. My second concern was the kitchen service. On my first day, I was excited to try the food, but I waited 20 minutes to be seated and an additional hour for a simple salad. This experience left me disappointed, and I decided not to dine there again during my stay. Considering the cost of staying at The Fontaine, I expected a much better experience. While the front desk staff went above and beyond, the lack of attentiveness and courtesy from the door and kitchen staff left a sour impression.

We had a wonderful time in the Igloo Experience! The space was festive and comfortable with warm blankets, decorations, comfy chairs and loveseat. Plenty of room for everyone. Sunset was beautiful. The heater and blankets kept us warm as we enjoyed the yummy hot chocolate and appetizers. Food was delicious. Kayla was always timely with her service and made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our experience. Highly recommend it.

The Fontaine met our expectations. Tasha was wonderful while checking me in!|We received a complimentary drink at their rooftop bar where all the staff was so nice. Our bartender was very pleasant and knowledgeable of our needs. We stayed here for 2 months during heart surgery January 2023 came back for check up this week. We had the best experience the staff was so caring and friendly. This trip the front desk went above and beyond to make us welcome. Jessie, Halley and especially Michael were wonderful help. We’re currently staying at The Fontaine, and our experience has been truly exceptional thanks to Tashae and Tami at the front desk. We can’t say enough about the incredible service from these two. They are welcoming, friendly, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the city. They went above and beyond to make sure our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple (and our first in a new city) was amazing and comfortable. From the moment we walked up to the front desk, they made us feel welcome, and their recommendations helped us make the most of our trip. Beyond the outstanding service, our room has been absolutely beautiful and incredibly comfortable, with amazing views of KC! It’s conveniently located near many great spots and is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. If you're staying at The Fontaine, rest assured that you’re in great hands. The Fontaine is conveniently situated near to the Country Club Plaza, with comfortable rooms, reasonably good food, higher than normal cleanliness standards, and great views from the 7th floor. This describes thousands of hotels across America. The exception that makes the Fontaine great is the delightful experience from the moment you get to interact with the front desk team. The shining star is Jessie. She will greet you as the most important person staying at the Fontaine, offering every possible piece of information needed and thanking you profusely for choosing the Fontaine. If this particular hotel were to lose Jessie…the Fontaine would become just an average place to stay with little to say about it. I’m proud to be a guest service professional, who has seen the best and the worst. Any hotel lucky enough to have this caliber of team has the opportunity to be the best.

The valet staff was great. Having the car service was nice and Trace was very helpful in navigating the area. The bar upstairs was a great place to grab a drink and catch up on emails as well. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable! Would recommend staying here.
