A great brunch menu with great breakfast cocktails! The portions were very good. I got the eggs Benny and decided not to get an extra side, and it was definitely enough. We also had the breakfast old fashioned that was very good! Fast, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Would return!

We had a reservation for 7! The service was great!! Food was also good! The coffee was served in a French press which was cool! We also got the large cinnamon roll and it was AMAZING!!! No matter where i go, im guaranteed to get a cinnamon roll of it’s on the menu, and this is one of the best i have had in KC!! Unfortunately, no picture of it. Was too excited to dig in!!! Parking was kind of a pain though (on a Saturday morning in July).

The service was awesome, very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back to try out other things on their brunch menu.

Make a reservation! Showed up with lots of open tables but had to wait 30 minutes as everyone else already seemed to know you make your reservation in advance and just walk in when ready for a weekend brunch time. Maybe less necessary during the week but we were hungry and perturbed to wait so long. The food was great though and the environment is lovely. The he cinnamon roll is one of the best I've had. Chicken biscuit sandwich was super flavorful and delish. My partner got the special which was also very tasty. Great place for brunch--probably one of the best in the city from our experience!

Went there on a Saturday morning before a Current game. We sat on the patio, which was very nice on this morning. The restaurant was packed and we did not have reservations. We ordered coffee and we were brought a French press coffee. The coffee was lukewarm. A pot and/or cup warmer would have been nice. I had the Chicken and Biscuit. I thought the portion size was small for the price. The chicken was stringy and difficult to cut. I thought the gravy was tasteless. My partner had chicken fried steak that they said was crispy and tasty. Probably 50/50 if we will return in the future.

Lateeeee review alert (oopsie daisy) I came here while visiting a friend who moved to KC this year and she says this is the place she takes all of her visitors. You generally need a reservation to go, and it looks like they are pretty busy right upon opening. That's when we went, and we were done within 40 minutes- talk about fast! As the name implies, it's farmhouse decor with mason jar water glasses and wooden furniture. Food was incredible. Their French press coffee is fine, it's a good value with about 4 cups for like $7. The cinnamon roll is huge and delicious and to-die-for. The eggs Benedict platter is also amazing and has probably been the serving to really turn me on to eggs benny! This out-of-stater would sure love to come again!

I absolutely love this place and would go back in a heart beat. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait, but the wait would be worth it. It is adjacent to the farmer's market and river, so a great location. The food tasted ultra fresh and home cooked. The cinnamon roll with the bacon was a good mix of salty and sweet. The biscuits and gravy was amazing and the hot honey was spot on with the flavors. This place has lots of varied seating. The service was great; very well staffed and the staff seemed to work together well. I would recommend it for catching up with adult friends for brunch or a nice meal before walking the market.

Service not so good. Waited for about 30 minutes for egg dishes and pancakes. Pancakes came out cold that butter would not melt. Other fishes came out lukewarm. Would not recommend as a good breakfast place! Very pricey for food that is ok.

My friend and I were looking for a nice brunch place and came across The Farmhouse. It was a little busy but we were seated right away. Looking at the menu it was very hard to choose because everything sounded very good. I decided on eggs Benedict because that is my very favorite breakfast. It not only was the best shaved ham I think I've ever had but the best eggs Benedict as well. Oh and the bread was challah bread, wow. So tasty! I really want to come back here and have that again, but I also want to try other things. Great service great atmosphere great food. I'll be back.

This was a spot serving brunch with a farm to table setting. The inside was nicely decorated and had a comforting feel to it. The menu had a number of interesting options to choose from while the service was friendly. I went with the Cowboy butter sirloin ($19). This was an 8 oz. Angus sirloin with two eggs, pickled onions, roasted jalapeno chimichurri, and chipotle-herb butter with crispy smashed potatoes. I opted for the steak to be cooked medium rare and it came out perfect. This overall was great. The sear on the steak to the slight heat of the chimichurri made for a very appetizing dish. The butter was a nice touch. My only small issue was the sunny side up eggs I chose. The yolks were a little too hard, but not a huge deal. I also tried the huevos rancheros, which were tasty as well. Will I go back? Yes.

Everyone recommended this spot for the best brunch in town, and Farmhouse certainly lived up to the hype. When we arrived at 9 a.m., there was already a line, but we managed to snag seats at the bar and were served incredibly fast. The menu had so many tempting options, but we finally decided on the Pumpkin Spice French toast for my daughter and the classic eggs Benedict for me. The Pumpkin Spice French toast was a seasonal treat--thick slices of perfectly cooked toast with a warm, spiced flavor that tasted like fall on a plate. It was topped with whipped cream and a light drizzle of syrup that didn't overpower the dish, making it rich but not overly sweet. My eggs Benedict was just as impressive, with perfectly poached eggs that oozed over a buttery English muffin and smoky ham, all topped with a velvety Hollandaise sauce. The balance of flavors and textures was spot on, and the portion was just right to leave me satisfied without being too heavy. The ambiance was warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxing brunch, and the staff was friendly and efficient, keeping the pace quick despite the crowd. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely be back!

Very nice trendy place. They offer a limited menu with some different types of selections for sure. Prices are a little steep for breakfast for what u get but that's also the trend... waitress are very friendly and the food french toast and the cinnamon roll were really good. However I had the corned beef hash and it's definitely not what I expected. It was a soupy gravy mess, with chunks of actual corned beef which itself was tasty but not the entire presentation. The coffee comes in a 4 small cup French press pot. No free refills we really like coffee so that sucks. Oh and no stirrers or spoons?

So LRoth and I came here on a cold cold below 0 January morning. We were able to get some last minute reservations, which I'd recommend because it did fill up. We got a few things. The Chicken N' Biscuit was delicious. Biscuits were fluffy but kept their shape. Gravy wasn't too salty. The star for me though was the Poblano grits. Creamy and savory. The poblanos added a nice smoke without overpowering the grits. All in all, I'd recommend this place.

The Farmhouse is a cute local brunch place in the River Market. I was intrigued when I walked by and saw the cozy (and packed) interior. Although nothing stands out on their menu, everything I've tried has been really good. French toast, traditional breakfast, etc. Service has always been great, even on weekends. We even had a large group one on the weekend, but with a reservation, it was a breeze. I'm intrigued by their mimosa tower, and hope to try it sometime soon. I 100% recommend this place. Like everything in city market, parking can be a little tricky.

For our last meal in KC we booked The Farmhouse for breakfast. Located nearby City Market it is a wonderful and very busy farm to table place. I ordered the brisket tamale with eggs, Cotija cheese, and microgreens. It was fantastic. I never get fresh tamale as back east and this was a joy to eat. Every bite was fantastic. My Daughter got the lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. She loved it. The coffee was good and string a d the service was exceptional. If I'm in KC again this is a definite. Put it on your bucket list

I came here for brunch on a Friday morning and we were seated very quickly. The waitress gave us some great suggestions and we decided on the Johnny cakes and the shrimp and grits. Both portion sizes were good and the food was delicious. I saw the size of the cinnamon roll next to me which looked amazing I am going to have to get that next time!

We loved our 38th Anniversary lunch...welcome to St Louis MO to the Strawn's! Loved it...on question- I thought I recognized the Chef that came to table beside us? Is there a reality star in the house posing as a chef?

Cute little spot downtown KC. I opted for the rooster which is a fried chicken sandwich with slaw. It would have been nice to have more sauce on the sandwich or get some on the side. The "ketchup" was very watery and lack taste. I did enjoy the fries, fresh and crunchy but missed the tasty ketchup element. I had a ginger beer on the side which you can never go wrong with one of those!! Service was fast, waiter was very nice. 3.5/5 stars.

Really love this place. With good food and being in the heart of the River Market, it seems to always have a good sized crowd so I highly recommend a reservation. I really admire their farm to table model as they support farmers from both Missouri and Kansas. This place is really a breath of fresh air and I've never been disappointed. To drink, I tried the dragonberry spritz and it was quite refreshing. I ordered the Chicken N' Biscuit and really loved it. Definitely one of KC's premier brunch spots!

Came here for my monthly brunch with my friend. There was a wait but I had reservations (score) so we were seated immediately. If you come here, MAKE RESERVATIONS. The restaurant is nice. Very nice local art all over the place. For drinks, we ordered the Cherry Limade Mimosa. They were so good! So good. For meals, we both had the Chicken and Biscuit. I added the Potato Hash. Everything was delicious except their homage ketchup. It was basically smashed tomatoes. Not tasty but I won't count them off for that because the food was so good. Fluffy biscuits, the chicken was cooked perfectly (and they use thighs not breasts) and the egg was great. Didn't need to ad any extra salt or pepper. It was seasoned great. Overall, great place. Do yourself a favor and park in the free parking at 711 Main and take the streetcar over so you don't have to figure out parking because it's a nightmare. The website even says allow 15 minutes for parking. We will be back and bringing the rest of the crew so we can tackle the mimosa tower.

Viktoria was an amazing server! We enjoyed having her and the tips she also offered about getting around the city. The food itself was tasty and fresh, from the initial bite to the last ! The eggs Benedict was suggested to me by another local and it lived up to the expectations. The interior of the place was great and I think for a Friday morning fairly quiet ! Would love to eat here on return one day.

Starting to really like this place more each time I visit. I do recommend making a reservation as it usually is super busy, especially on the weekends. I ordered the chicken n biscuit and it was SO good. Such a great combination of food along with a cranberry mimosa that I ordered. The atmosphere can get really loud as there is no background music and the tables are all super close. Service was decent--it could've been better, but I do understand they were probably extremely busy. Will definitely continue to come back!

Best coffee I have had in Kansas City!! Other than that a friendly service, there is nothing that will bring me back to this place. Their menu is not the typical brunch food, so keep that in mind when going there.

This place has been on my list to try for whah seems to be forever! I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and expected a long wait but to my surprise, the wait ended up being only 20 minutes which was not bad whatsoever. The space is actually pretty large and the ambiance inside is actually pretty comforting. Let's just get to the food already.. I ordered the Chicken N Biscuit and I honestly have no idea why this isn't ordered as much.. I didn't really find ANY reviews talking about this dish and I am shocked. My dish alone was a 5/5. PLEASE ORDER THIS! It honestly wasn't that big of a portion and I completely cleaned my plate. The chili honey and chipotle butter definitely makes this dish. If I had one "complaint" or "critique" I think I would just make this spicier. The chipotle doesn't add any kind of heat just more so adds flavor. My s/o ordered the basic biscuits and gravy and this was pretty good in flavor also. I don't believe I've ever tasted gravy like this, to be honest. It was very unique in its taste but was pretty flavorful. I can't lie.. I definitely liked my food much more. Finally ended brunch with the Brioche French Toast and this was also pretty good. The pure maple syrup adds the right amount of sweetness and the tart berries make this french toast taste great. I think this dish would also be elevated if they had some kind of homemade jam. Now, it is always difficult for me to find 5/5 star restaurants and this place isn't necessarily a 5/5.. it's more of a 4.5 but you can't rate halves on yelp. This place is definitely closer to a 5 than a 4 so I rated higher. The absolute only reason I rated this a "4.5" is because my food came out a little lukewarm.. had it been a tad hotter, it would've been an easy 5. I am definitely coming back here again and I might just order the same thing.

Wowowowowow this place is good!! You can tell everything is made from scratch using quality ingredients down to the toast and jam. The biggest compliment our party had was all the food was individually outstanding despite the business of the place on a Sunday morning before the Super Bowl. I'm not typically a corn beef hash person but the high veggie count pulled me in and now it'll be hard to try something else on our guaranteed next visit. Not pictured was amazing French press and espresso martini which delivered on expectations. Service was quick and friendly and we got in relatively fast for a group of 4 on a busy Sunday with no reservations at prime breakfast time. 10/10 experience!

Visiting my home city, so I googled best week day brunch. The Farmhouse came up in the top places. The customer service was great, the food was tasty, and the ambiance was relaxing.

Its a nice place, very well organized, cleaned and with its unique touch and decorations. Food is amazing, the Country fried steak and the omelette was great. That cinnamon roll at the start was amazing and the service was top notch. The only negatives was how loud the place is. At all times everyone is just screaming, its just a loud place, I couldn't even have a conversation with the person in front of me without having to raise my voice to match the loudness of the place.

Your next spot for brunch! Brunch should be filled with good food, good service, a fun atmosphere, and cool artwork and that is what The Farmhouse offers! I had the steak and eggs and it is easily the best steak and eggs I have ever had! I'm not typically a fan of blue cheese but the blue cheese butter on the steak adds a nice tang! We even were served by one of the owners who was extremely nice and struck up a conversation with us. Look no further, this is your next brunch spot in KC!

If you're coming to KC - eat at Farmhouse!!!!! Delicious! Totally recommend! Food is delicious - we had the veggie omelet with bacon (my partners choice LOL) and I had the farmers start. Absolutely amazing - eggs and potato cooked to perfection. I asked for crispy bacon and they DELIVERED beyond satisfied. We also had a lovely gentleman check in with us during our meal and we mentioned we were interested in a reservation the next day - the gentleman booked it for us immediately! Incredible service. Can't wait to go back!

Super good food and great service!! Very clean feeling and tasting. We got the cheese curds, biscuits and sausage gravy, NY strip steak, and the chicken fried steak.

No call ahead seating. Got there and was told it would be 1.5-2hr wait. We put our name down and walked around the market, we weren't in a hurry and family were still making their way to our location. Planned on probably getting food somewhere else if needed due to the wait. Got text after only 30 minutes which was a nice surprise. Hostess was very nice. Food was pretty good. Son had chicken and bisquit and he thought it was really good. i tried their bisquit and it was a nice, moist bisquit. Other son tried the pork belly meal and he enjoyed that, as well. I had a basic breakfast with toast, eggs, bacon and it was decent. Coffee is french press and the table loved the taste of it. Seated in the outdoor area covered by an awning which was nice. Would definitely try again if in the area.

Breakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day and Farmhouse did not disappoint. We had the Apple Sticky buns, which was a weekend special, the biscuits and gravy and the parfait. It was all incredibly good (chefs kiss). Taylor and Victoria took care of us. They were both wonderful. We sat at the bar and had our breakfast, so we we got to see how well the entire staff worked together. They seemed like a family that really enjoyed working with each other and at the Farmhouse. I love how they work with local farms and have craft cocktails, and they allow four legged friends

My family and I ate here for the first time this past Saturday. We had been looking forward to trying it as it is a farm to table restaurant and it is quite difficult to trust the quality of ingredients in most restaurants these days. The food was delicious, so as for my taste buds, they were not disappointed. However, I was disappointed when I asked our server (who was absolutely delightful!) what oil they cook with. As a farm to table restaurant, I was hoping that butter, gee, tallow, olive or coconut oil would be used. Unfortunately, they cook with canola oil . It doesn't take but a quick google search to find many scientific studies on the huge problem of consuming seed oils. Of course 99% of restaurants cool with these toxic oils but, as for a farm to table, I'm always hopeful for a healthier alternative. So that is the reason for my 3 star review. Question to the restaurant, would you be open to switching to healthy cooking oil alternatives? Or if not, could I request a healthier cooking oil to specifically cook my order? Summary: great service, great taste, sadly cooks with seed oils

Wow, the smash burger was the best I've ever had! An explosion of flavor with not one, but two delicious patties, a generous amount of melted cheddar, and a pillowy brioche bun. Fries were fried and salted to perfection. Spinach salad was the perfect compliment to the burger, it was fresh and light. Friendly servers and adorable restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch, or lunch!

This was my first visit here and I had high expectations after hearing reviews. Unfortunately, my family and I weren't pleased with many food items today including the cinnamon roll, biscuits and gravy, and French toast. The Club Sandwich and French fries were 5 stars, highly recommended. The plate presentation of the French toast looked delicious, but the looks were deceiving. Menu was solid, they have items for various dietary preferences. Our service was just good, but I recognize they were understaffed so they did a good job given circumstances. Atmosphere was okay, some decoration but no background music. Given the hype here, I'm willing to give another chance.

We went for brunch on a whim and thankfully we didn't have a wait. When you walk in, you get a home like vibe. It's super cute inside and very clean. When I say it is the best breakfast I've ever had, I'm not lying. Plus the breakfast cocktails were so good. I can't wait to go back and have the eggs Benedict again. It was truly delicious. We had so many great cocktails, but the Bloody Mary was my favorite for brunch. Go check them out!!

Skip it. I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and got a grossly soggy and greasy piece of garlic toast. It was, I suppose, an actual bagel but so saturated in grease that it was not edible. It was listed as bagel and cream cheese. I expected a portion of cream cheese and was brought a tablespoon of cream cheese on the side. The waitress was nice but glossed over the "how's your food" so I had no chance to say they should not charge for that. Others in our party liked their food. But I won't go back.

My husband and I have always enjoyed The Farmhouse. Last weekend, we took some family for brunch for my husband's 40th birthday and I got the Chicken N' Biscuit for the first time. It did not look as pretty as the attached picture BUT it tasted fantastic. So, my husband and I went back for Easter Sunday today on a whim, and luckily there were two seats at the bar (we didn't make reservations this time). We both got the Chicken N' Biscuit. The attached picture is one I took. It was absolutely fire and after looking at my picture of it from last weekend, I'd say today's was plated as it should be! You're missing out if you don't try this! Oh, and we ordered a Ranch Water and the bartender suggested we add lime and it was so good we each had two! Highly suggest making reservations! Cheers!

Visited The Farmhouse while in KC for work. Found them on Yelp and the reviews hold to be true. Food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared with the best ingredients. Even the eggs had the deep orange to the yolks that makes for a richer flavor. Taylor, my server was friendly, efficient, and attentive just enough. Highly recommend!

We came on a Saturday morning so naturally there was about a 20 min wait to sit inside, not a problem at all. We were sat at the table and our waitress Halle introduced herself. She was very sweet. The drinks we had were delicious! I had a watermelon basil drink and my husband had a blueberry mojito. All of the food was super yummy. Only downside is that they do not have a kids menu, so you would have to order sides for them. We didn't know this so we ordered a full pancake breakfast for the little guy, and a lot of it went to waste. Also, my husband got scrambled eggs with cheese with his steak and eggs, and they were quite bland. No salt or pepper in them at all. It was quite loud in there with the droning noise of people but overall a super great experience and the food and drinks were amazing!

We stopped in for family brunch this morning. Our server was absolutely awesome and handled our large group with ease. We started off with mimosas, which were perfectly balanced. My husband ordered the chicken biscuit while I ordered the chicken fried steak with grits. Both deserve top tier praise, and are our new favorites from the brunch menu.

Loved this spot in downtown KC! We were visiting for a day trip and just looked up best breakfast spots and this place came up. Food and service was great i loved the option they have for mimosa and love that the my do Mimosa towers!! We couldn't get the tower since we had to drive back home but love the idea! We tried biscuits and gravy , French toast and omelette w potatoes! Wanted to tried the house made cinnamon roll but was too full ! Can't wait to go back and try more !

Good, only downside is that it is really hard to get reservations so just plan for that in advance. Also wish that parking was more convenient, but you can't always get what you want and we know that River market is horrible with parking. Food is good, they offer a good nice bottomless mimosa deal with friends, but overall was tasty. Would probably return just maybe try to come on a weekday

We came here for a bachelorette brunch, so we had a fairly large group. The girls ordered a mimosa(?) tower and I ordered one of the mocktails and we were very happy. All of the food was delicious, but I thought the star of the experience was the curry. The chef even asked what our honest opinions were on it because it was new to the menu. I love spice, but even I was having a difficult time with the heat! That being said, I think it's my favorite curry in KC. I requested extra rice, and they were happy to bring more. Would 100% recommend!

Obviously not pictured was the gargantuan cinnamon roll and the masses of food we consumed in addition to the festive fall cocktails we drank. Everything was delicious as expected! The service was great and the ambience was exactly what you would expect from a brunch spot in The River Market District but I'll take it a step further to appreciate knowing exactly which farm the items I was consulting came from. Responsibly food to table...it was lovely!

The food here is so fresh and delicious. The ambiance is very lively being in the heart of the river market. Even thought the restaurant is usually packed the service still keeps up.

Steak was phenomanal. Seed oil free, all food meat and fruit is bought from local and trustworthy farms.

Had a great time here for a friends birthday. After sitting down we were immediately descended upon by a beautiful service angel-KEELEY- we didn't even have to order she just read our minds and brought me a pbr. The only thing that could've made this better is if Keeley had roller skates
