At The Duplex in Logan Square, you can savor seasonal dishes from rotating chefs while enjoying expertly crafted cocktails in a vibrant, communal atmosphere.
"The Duplex in Logan Square serves food from different restaurants every six months, and right now they’re serving Mexican food from Lime and Radish (the birria taco is great) and excellent fried chicken sandwiches from The Kluckerz. This place feels more like hanging out at a bar with great food than a restaurant. That’s partially because of the long cocktail list, and literal bar which takes up half the (pretty large) restaurant. But also because of how you order the food: you order everything from a QR code at the table and just close out your tab whenever you’re done eating (and drinking). It’s a good idea if the decision to get together is impromptu, because there is a very good chance you will be able to just show up and get a table, and that also goes for their sidewalk patio." - adrian kane
"Owner Le'Qoinne Rice debuts a community focused dining experience, with a modern twist."
"Misoyaki Eggplant The first time we tried the misoyaki eggplant tartine from Second Generation in Logan Square, it was like experiencing a Criss Angel illusion without the bulk shipment of black mascara. It was so meaty that even after a thorough dissection we struggled to believe it was vegetarian. This open-faced sandwich is piled with a mountain of umami-packed eggplant and mushrooms on top of a pleasantly tart slice of sourdough. Topped off with creamy egg yolk and hoisin, the whole dish has a comforting richness that would calm us down even if we were the ones being sawn in half." - adrian kane, john ringor
"The Duplex, a new restaurant in Logan Square, is soft-opening on May 21st. This place is in the former Merchant location, and will feature different chefs and restaurants every six months. First up are fried chicken sandwiches from The Kluckerz and Latin American and Mexican food from Lime and Radish." - adrian kane
"The Duplex, a dining space that changes chefs every six months, has two new tenants, according to a rep. Cacahuates from Taylor Chleana, the former pastry chef at the Bonhomme Hospitality Group, features Latin fusion cuisine, while Kalista has a Mediterranean-inspired menu from David Rodriguez. The Duplex, 3137 W. Logan Boulevard, Open 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Reservations available via Tock." - Naomi Waxman
