The CryoBar

The cryo machine did not work and they have not bothered to call me and notify in advance. When I arrived the staff said you can go ahead and do cryo but the machine doesn’t work properly. (?!) I have been these several times and the staff is always rude and not helpful.

This place is cool (literally)! We like doing the cryo-therapy, and you feel pretty good afterwards, but after doing this for a few weeks now, I'm not sure if there are really any noticable long-term effects. Friendly and helpful staff and owners. A bit price for what it is though.

They young lady who did my facial was friendly and informative of how Facial Cryotherapy works. She followed up with me as I was checking out, if I wanted to do another package.

Really enjoyed my first experience at The CryoBar LP. I did the sauna and had a cryofacial. Both services were great. My skin felt and looked great after the short & sweet facial!

I went here to experience the sauna. The young ladies who ran the front desk were sweet and informative and let me know about the facility and the sauna with ease. They had robes and slippers to use to get undressed and you could go into the sauna naked it you preferred. There were two big curtains that covered the whole sauna. You couldn't see in or out. I wore my swimsuit. They also had the option to play your phone, so you could listen to your own music if you wanted. My phone did overheat towards the end of the 40 min session. The only drawbacks were that the slippers were not plushy, you could tell they had been worn. A little petty but I like plushy slippers and robes. The sauna was also very small. I am a small lady and I felt cramped in there. However overall a good experience.

I had an amazing experience at the CryoBar in Lincoln Park. Sara walked me through every step of the process, which kept me informed and comfortable. I loved my treatment and already feeling the muscle soreness leaving my body! Will definitely be back!

I highly recommend trying out Cryobar in Lincoln Park! I've only had two full body cryotherapy sessions and I already notice a reduction in joint pain! The staff is very professional and knowledgeable.

Absolute must for self-care. I always feel incredible after I do the whole body cryo. Sara and her team are incredible! Educational and passionate about what they do.

I love this place- the owner is great, the staff are all nice and informative, and everything is professional, clean, and on time. Five stars for sure!

Hello The Lincoln Park Cryo Bar is superb. It is a place of comfort and great support. It certainly helped me relieve the intense pain I had. The technician is excellent I bought a package of treatments. Its the only thing that helps me. It was even recommended by the Pain Clinic in the hospital. I am very lucky to know of it and I will continue to go there . I highly recommend it for anyone who is suffering from pain. ELLY LASER

Not my absolute favorite cryo but it does. I try incorporating cryotherapy and sauna sessions into my wellness routine a few times a yr, and I'm blown away by the benefits. Cryotherapy leaves me feeling refreshed and energized. Their sauna sessions aren't nearly hot enough for me,I like to BURN. Like in Quapaw's spa/sauna. Still it provided a detoxifying experience . Try them if around!

The staff makes the service times go by quickly while providing knowledgeable information. The owners are passionate about their business, and it shows...Thank you! John

The owners and staff at the CryoBar in Lincoln Park are so friendly and very knowledgeable about the benefits of cryobar for a wide variety of applications. I tried localized cryo for tennis elbow immediately after playing tennis and noticed I didn't get sore. To be fair, I am going to a physical therapist and have tried infra red light too. They all complement each other.

Amazing staff, good services. Very clean environment, the employees are knowledgeable and willing to help.

The cryo is a unique experience, but I would not recommend the infrared sauna. I bought the 10 session package, and I tried the sauna at both Bucktown and Lincoln Park, and it does not go over 131 degrees, even though it's set to 151. I informed the staff at both locations, and they assured me they would fix it and it wouldn't be the norm, but I tried 5 times and 2 of those times it didn't go over 125, let alone getting to the expected 151. I asked for a refund for my remaining 5 sessions, not even the ones that I had already used, as the sauna didn't work to expectations, and they refused. They offered a credit for other services, but I informed them I was not interested. Overall, this is not worth the price when you can go to other saunas for very comparable pricing and get so much more than a low heat 30 minute session.

I went for my first time 2 weeks ago and had a great experience. Sara, the owner, was present and very informative instructing me on exactly what I would experience and how it would benefit. While it is super cold, for only a few minutes, I felt great after. I will definitely be returning so that I can improve my recovery when my triathlon training picks up this summer.

Bad! I had the crio facial at Lincoln Park location today. The technician was is a hurry, and said they do not do neck!?! I insisted on changing into a robe, so she can access my neck... To punish me she cut the time of procedure to 7 min instead of 10 min. To clarify: at the time I was the only customer at the facility. After the procedure the technician went back to the desk to finish the conversation with the other technician.

Went in today for my first time and went big. I did the standard chamber for 3 minutes, a localized treatment, and the celluma. Let's start from the top: Upon arrival the ladies working were super nice, I had a couple questions and they were able to help/answer accordingly. I started with the celluma. To be honest, I'm pretty much pulling out all the stops trying to fight my adult onset acne without having to get on acutane. It's not something you feel while the lights are on you, so you can't really tell if it's working or not, but fingers crossed. I'll probably couple it with a facial tomorrow just to get that refreshed feeling. Not something I'd dock them a star or anything for, it's just a personal preference when doing things to my face. Hopefully I notice results! As for the chamber, I went in expecting the worst. For some reason, I had it in my head that it would be painful but it's just a different feeling of discomfort. Sure I was shivering while speaking but definitely worth it. Not even halfway through I mentioned most of my pain is in my lower back so she suggested I turn so my back faced the front of the chamber. No joke, my back already feels better and they aren't kidding when they say it gives you an adrenaline rush. I have a pinched nerve in my neck and my shoulders are always super tight which is why I did the localized on top of the chamber. I was hoping it would knock out the pinched nerve but realistically knew that was something my body would have to work out on it's own. However, my shoulders feel much less tense. I'll definitely be coming back in the near future.

I told my boss about cryo and it's benefits for the body, so we decided to give it a go. Super simple process and great customer care right from the time we walked in. Threw the robe on, waited for my entrance into the iceberg if you will.. put the on and started the Convo. The convo lasts roughly 3 mins.. exactly how long your in the tank. Immediately upon exiting, you began to feel amazing! Afterwards, I decided to buy the session deal @ $40/session. Definitely a no brainer! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CryoBar!!

Absolutely love this place for taking your wellness to the next level. The staff is friendly and remembers you after day 1 making you feel at home, prioritized, and personalized. Why go here? Recuperation is key to fitness but also mind, body, and heart wellness. Cryotherapy offers a tremendous way to recuperate in a highly efficient way. At Cryobar, I can be in and out in 15 minutes. The facility is quaint and well maintained plus parking is easy.

I had heard about this place when it first opened and was curious about whether or not it worked, but never got around to trying it. This month, I noticed CryoBar had partnered with my gym to provide a discount for any services and that was the final push I needed. You can book an appointment online or just walk in. I went without an appointment on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty--I didn't have to wait at all. I wanted to try the full-body therapy. Basically, you sign the waiver and are shown to a changing room where you remove your clothes and put on a provided robe, pair of socks and slippers. Warning--the robe is a bit small, so be prepared to show a bit of thigh as you walk from the changing room to the cryo chamber, but it's just a short 5-10 foot walk, so not a big deal--just imagine you're Angelina Jolie at the 2012 Oscars and rock it. The employee opens the chamber and a rush of chilled fog comes out, but you step in in the robe and the door is closed. You remove your robe and pass it to the employee, who trades it for a pair of mittens. And then...you just stand there for three minutes while the cold air circles you and the cold works its magic. I definitely felt the cold, but despite it getting as low as -250°, I never shivered. The employee chatted with me the whole time about the process and how it worked, which made the time go by quickly--though it did feel strange to be totally naked with her right there, even though it's not like she could see anything. There's also a tv you can watch if you'd prefer to enjoy the treatment in silence. Once the three minutes pass, you're handed back the robe, and when you're ready, the employee opens the chamber and you go back and change into your clothes. The entire visit only lasted about 15 minutes and I did feel the endorphins right away and for several hours afterwards. I'm an avid spinner and frequently wake up sore, so I am excited to see how my body responds to the treatment. I did notice that they have a 'Happy Hour' special on Friday afternoons where the full body cryo is 50% off and that is definitely a deal I'll take them up on if this works!

I have been reading a lot about what cryotherapy can do for you but was a little skeptical to take the step and give it a try. After doing a lot of research, it looked like CryoBar would be the right company to give it a try with. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and welcoming and made me feel comfortable. They explained how everything worked and what to expect before, during, and after the treatment. I could tell shortly after I finished that I already felt relief from inflammation. I can't wait to go back again. It's worth every penny, as well as being super cold for a few minutes, which I typically wildly avoid. I'll def work go back and recommend this to anything considering having CryoBar a try.

This place is the shit. There's a reason it has 5 stars. Madeline was awesome during my first visit and took the time the explain everything. 3 minutes flew by and I already feel great about 2 hours after my session. I will definitely be back. Keep up the great work, CryoBar!

I had my first experience at CryoBar today and was *thoroughly* impressed and had a great experience. First of all, they were very accommodating with my schedule as I made a change the day before. Friendly and kind, they answered all of my questions and helped me feel comfortable and excited for my appointment. When I arrived for my infrared sauna appointment, I actually had just started getting a migraine. I did not expect that the sauna would have any impact on my migraine except to perhaps make it worse, but the opposite happened. It actually went away! Which is pretty amazing to me, as it usually takes a combination of lots of ibuprofen and excedrin for it to go away. I felt refreshed, relaxed, and calmed by the experience and look forward to going back!

The Cryo Bar is amazing. Not only is it helpful in exercise/training recovery, but the staff are amazing. I go to the LP CryoBar almost weekly, and the staff are so welcoming, remember your name, and things you've talked about. Couldn't recommend them enough!!!!

I've been to Cryobar four times and I'm hooked. I've done the full body treatment and you fill absolutely incredible when you finish. I work out like a fiend and this helps with recovery. The owners and staff are too notch. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

I have some pretty nasty injury & inflammation issues, after my first whole body round I was walking easier (even in massive humidity) and am still feeling good 2 days later. This is going to be a regular visit. First Timer Record Holder 34 degrees!

I had heard about cryotherapy and definitely had my concerns, but I am now a convert. I absolutely love the treatment. My first time walking in I was a bit nervous but the owners, Emmy and Sara, were so sweet and calming. I watched someone do the whole body treatment right before me and decided it was time to put on one their cozy fluffy robes and slippers and try it out. I have now been going at least twice a week and I have noticed such a difference. My back pain went away, I have more energy and everything feels tighter (in a good way). I also love the facials. My skin glows every time I get them!

Wow what a wonderful facility. I am really enjoying going to Cryobar. The staff is super nice and it's easy to get in. In fact I am able just to walk in when I want to go. I have back issues and it really has helped w inflammation. I am also sleeping super well. I would recommend it to anyone!!!

The CryoBar is the great. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The facility is clean. Cryo therapy is exceptionally helpful for a number of ailments. Perhaps my favorite benefit, however, is the great night of sleep that one 3 minute session provides!

This was pure torture. I have had near death experiences and those experiences were less petrifying than this. I don't know if my nipples will ever be the same, to be completely honest. I tried this because I had a horrible ankle break and I was willing to try anything to help the inflammation. I still have a cankle, FYI. It would have been somewhat okay, maybe, if the worker didn't yap at you through the entire thing. It was like being in the dentist chair and having the dentist ask you questions... hello I cannot speak.

This place is incredible! I found out about it when they partnered with CorePower Yoga, and offered a free freeze to instructors. Not only did I find the experience to far exceed my expectations (it was very cool, pun intended!), but the staff was absolutely wonderful. I met one of the founders and she was just so friendly and happy. Everyone there was welcoming and professional. I also happened to come in when they were having an anniversary party, so they had food and treats set out for all of the guests. I would highly recommend checking this place out, outside of teaching yoga I am also a professional cheerleader and between the two I am always sore from something. 3 minutes in the chamber is like a reset button for your muscles, I can't wait to go back!

I just left this place, the owner and the girl working at the front desk were so nice and knowledgeable. This was my first time doing cryotherapy and I was really nervous. I have psoriasis and inflammation of the body so I thought I would give this a try. I did both the facial and the whole body. The girls kept me talking so I wouldn't feel the time passing by and they gave me privacy to get in and out of the machine and getting dressed as you do have to wear a robe and undress in the machine. I really love my experience and look forward to going back!

I have been doing Cryotherapy at the CryoBar for a little over a year, and I love it! The staff here is really knowledgeable, and I always feel so great after a freeze!

Everybody who works here is sooo extremely nice and helpful! From the second I booked the appointment for my whole body cryo and the facial to the moment I left, I felt very at ease! They made what I sought out to be the most uncomfortable 3 minutes of my life a piece of cake by keeping me distracted! The facial was a nice touch! I loved everything and everyone so much, I went back for the infrared sauna the next day. I look forward to spending more time here :)

I feel great when I finish with the treatment!! I have a few old running pains that feel better after the treatment. I am hooked! I tried the facial as well and it is relaxing and invigorating at the same time. I like this facility very much. Very sweet people

I had to check this out! Went in and got the lowdown on what it is all about. So had to try it! I love it!! The owner and staff were great and super informative on the benefits and made me feel really comfortable here. I have done the whole body, the facial and my foot which has a heel spur. The whole body helped my recovery time from workouts, and I swear with inflammation cause I am feeling so much better in my own skin. The facial helped to calm down my roscea, which nothing ever has helped. I have to also say that for a few days my heel spur pain went away totally. Its a quick freeze but def worth the benefits!!! And the place is decorated so cute and everyone is super friendly!

This place was great. It was my first time getting Cryo and the staff was extremely helpful and patient. The space had a very nice atmosphere as well. I would definitely recommend it.

This was a wonderful and exciting experience. CryoBar was on my birthday bucket list. I ordered a facial and a full body experience in the chamber. The staff was amazing, professional and they explained everything to me. Normally, I am not a fan of the cold, but I did feel really good when I was finished with my treatments. I would go back there and recommend this to friends, especially those who want to decrease inflammation and athletes that are sore.

If you are still wondering about Cryotherapy, stop. Book an appointment ASAP! Sure, it is the longest 3 minutes you have ever felt BUUT the aprés-cryo is just a feeling one cannot replicate. As someone who is 50+ who still runs and cycles regularly, this is something I turn to. Read up on the benefits, no need for me to reiterate coz someone else says it best. I PROMISE you if you feel run down or off or injured, this helps you back on path. I recently strained my hamstring and after one localized Cryo session it is 50% better. I know I'll need at least two more and I KNOW it will get better! From Sarah the owner to Julie and the other fabulous gals who work there, you cannot go wrong! Just GO! And to be CLEAR---Lincoln Park AND the Bucktown locations are spot on!

The CryoBar in Lincoln Park is a welcoming, modern fountain of youth! I have been doing the whole body chills and the toning facials for awhile. They have made such a difference in my sleep and the tightening of my skin. I leave feeling amazing! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the CryoBar LP!

Very cool experience. Literally. I went with my mom and my aunt to try it out and the staff could not have been more pleasant! We experienced the full body cryotherapy as well as the facial that is offered. The facility itself is also very clean. From a price stand point, I will not be returning. Unfortunately, cryotherapy anywhere you go carries a hefty price tag. This facility does offer some great new client specials if you wanted to check it out.

First experience with Cryo, and it was terrific! Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The treatment was exhilarating, and I felt great afterwards. Major boost, and then I slept really well. I will definitely do it again!

So I went to this place for the infrared and Ive also just visited their new location in Bucktown. The place is super clean, the staff is great, nice and helpful! The infrared is also the best I've been in in Chicago. It can play your own music from your phone which is a huge plus. The only downside- which is kind of a big one- is their hours! They're open like anyones normal work schedule. No before work hours- but more importantly no after work hours. I know they mention you can request off hours but I still feel like they should be open later without a request. Just seems like last appointment at 5:15 is so early for a service on weekdays that I would imagine people would want to do after work. Super inconvenient and Ive had to cancel multiple appointments because I knew I wouldn't make it after work in time. Huge bummer- I'll still go back on days off when I can get in but in the meantime am looking for a place that has after work hours for most days.

Wow! First experience with the "Big Chill" after 26.2 - Chicago Marathon. Great experience, immediate relief! Stiffness, soreness and heavy legs reduced greatly! If I had been able to do subsequent treatments recovery from the Marathon would have been minimal I am sure. Made my flight home a breeze! Beautiful location, knowledgeable staff. Thanks! I am currently training for the Oct. 9 Chicago Marathon. Just had my 20 mile run Saturday and figured I'd give Cryotherapy a try, as I've heard good things. So, I headed in on Sunday for my first session. I was still a little sore from my run, so I wanted to see how fast I could heal. After a very cold 3 minute session, I can say I definitely felt better. It's hard to explain, but a calmness came over me, as well as a sense of euphoria. My body certainly felt better as the day went on. It's Monday and I have a 6 mile run tonight that I am feeling ready for. The staff were very professional and explained the entire process, which went very smoothly. Looking forward to my next visit!
