"With all that has changed in LIC over the past decade, The Creek & The Cave encapsulates the area's amazing transformation. Once a simple dive bar and a quasi-Mexican restaurant famous for dishes like "the stoner's special," this has grown to become one of NYC's preeminent comedy venues. Still a great spot for California-style Mexican (sadly, no "Stoner Special"), the Creek offers many vegan choices, great margaritas and a fantastic outdoor space. There's a friendly cat there to boot, if that's your thing. If not, there are pinball machines to keep you occupied. Now for the comedy. There are over 150 live performances each month, and it's not unusual for stars like Louis C.K. or Jerry Seinfeld to drop by to try out new material. That's some seriously funny business." - MSLK

Was there recently for Big Jay's birthday and a Legion Of Skanks taping. Met some incredible people and comics. Had a crazy awesome night

What a great experience! We came here to see a comedy show and were pleasantly surprised that there was no cover and no drink minimum. Downstairs bar is tight but a fun space. We grabbed takeout (dining in is also an option) on our way out and very much enjoyed the food (Mexican).

This review is NOT for the shows here, which are always a bundle of fun on any given night. This is purely for the food, which was...depressing, in every conceivable way. This queso made me wish I was never born. Google won’t let me post a video, but let these screenshots show you the chunky, rancid mess I was given. Queso is supposed to be smooth, not coagulated and flavorless.

This place is a lot of fun. On any given night there is a ton to do. I watched an open mic and it was a lot of fun.The beer and shots are pretty cheap, as well.

Comedy club with true NY dive bar feel. They also serve food; the burritos are great. The trillvilla show on fridays is funny and a lot of fun.

This place is amazing! The food is so great - the menu is big so there are lots of good choices and honestly, IT'S ALL GOOD. You can't beat the drink specials, and the staff are warm and welcoming. I frequent this place often and it feels like a home away from home. The best part about this place is that they have FREE comedy EVERY NIGHT. When friends and family come in town, I bring them here. You don't have to deal with the prices and foot traffic of Manhattan to enjoy awesome shows and awesome food. It's so easy to commute to. I can't recommend this place enough. They do a lot for the arts and fostering the arts, so if that is something you appreciate, this is a great place to support. I have NOTHING bad to say about Creek and the Cave. Not one thing. If you are on the fence about where to eat or enjoy entertainment, just know this is your BEST option.

I had some vegetarian tacos on Taco Tuesday and they weren't bad. Pretty good, but not spectacular. I think they should throw some other yummy goodies into the tacos to make them more tasty. The atmosphere is very chill and hip, which I like. The time I was there, a comedy show was going on, so the dining room was kinda empty, but they seem pretty popular on nights that comedians come through. I'll go back for another try. :)
