"Coal Pot is a marina-front Caribbean and French fusion eatery in St. Lucia's capital that has been here for years, a testament to its appeal with locals and visitors alike. You'll also want to visit Coal Pot's sister restaurant, The Pink Plantation, for Creole-inspired dishes in a historic, 150-year-old estate." - Carley Rojas Avila

"Builton a deck overlooking the Vigie marina, The Coal Pot is a local favorite that makes a breezy, delightful spot for a lunch or dinner with a view. Named after the traditional methods of island cooking, the restaurant specializes in some of the best seafood on the island, including St. Lucian crab back and traditional saltfish with green fig (banana), as well as steaks, poultry, salads, and soups. Weekday lunches have a fixed three-course option. Reserve ahead for a bayside table: At night, the setting couldn't be more romantic."
Had the Dorado with garlic butter sauce and it was amazing. The fish was fresh, tender, and full of flavor with perfect sides. Beautiful waterfront setting with warm lighting and a peaceful breeze. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel special. 100% recommend The Coal Pot, it’s a must visit.

The atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed the setting that was created, similar to a Bali inspired theme.
The food was also decent. Not amazing, but still enjoyable.
I was a bit let down by the level of service and also having some dirty utensils.
As a visitor to St. Lucia, I was expecting more, based on feedback from the locals.

Amazing food. Great service. The perfect restaurant for a date. We drove there and will recommend to use a Susuki Jimmy or a similar vehicle as there is an open road to arrive there. Drive slowly and Be careful with the dogs that are sleeping near the gate entrance when leaving at night.

Visited this restaurant last night with my family and wow. The ambient lighting and Bayfront view is beyond stunning. We enjoyed a few appetizers and I am still thinking about the mussels. The portion sizes were just right and the staff were very attentive. Probably my favourite dining experience of my trip.

Food and drinks were 10/10. I had the ribeye with red wine sauce and the rum punch. Would definitely come back.

The restaurant has a good atmosphere and nice views from the verandah. Somehow, if I have to wait for more than 10 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant, I'd expect the food to be exceptional. Well, it wasn't. The fish chowder was nice but the main dish, barracuda, was nothing special, the creole sauce and all side dishes partly overcooked and tasted boring. Once seated, the service was attentive. The bill was on the pricey side.
I still recommend this restaurant as the gastronomic pickings in Castries are slim.

The vibe was on point at this restaurant. The lighting and ambiance were amazing, Excellent place for dinner to get the full experience. We arrived after dark, and the road in made me feel that Google was taking us down the wrong path, but no, keep going to find this gem around the bend. Someone shared that the owner is an artist and creates all the hanging lanterns inside the restaurant, which are truly spectacular. The dinner and service were also very good. Don't miss out on this open-air gem!

The location is truly stunning, and the ambiance adds to the experience. The food was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the service was a major letdown. We noticed several other tables struggling to get the attention of the waiting staff as well. It had the potential to be a fantastic experience, but the poor service really took away from it.
