"Aura: The Vodka Bar There are some bars that get lost in the crush, while others make a lasting impression. Headed straight into the latter, Aura, a luxury bar in the 5-star Claridges Hotel, specializes in a wide array of vodkas, with more than 60 different rare vodkas from around the world to choose from. It’s one of the oldest bars in Delhi, dating back to the time when the nightlife was exclusive to upscale hotels. The place isn’t very large, so it makes for a cozy atmosphere. If you’re a vodka aficionado, you won’t want to miss this place. And if you’re not, you may just want to go to see the impressive range of vodkas. Full-course meals is not the house specialty, so you can expect to only find appetizers and small snacks to accompany the coveted spirits. Call ahead for various events such as bartending lessons and vodka tastings."

"As the name might imply, classic British-style elegance is the order of the day at Claridges New Delhi. Some of its best features haven’t changed much since the hotel opened its doors in 1952, like the manicured lawns dotted with gazebos, the large freeform swimming pool encircled in glamorous white cabanas, and the charmingly old-fashioned bakery, specializing in chocolate cake. Guest rooms have been updated, of course, and feature gleaming parquet floors, marble bathrooms, and handsome four-poster beds. A range of restaurants and bars cater to every taste: there’s casual Punjabi cuisine at one, Cantonese dishes at another, and an extensive vodka menu and nightly jazz at the hotel bar. But the standout may be Spanish food served by candlelight at open-air tables overlooking the immaculately tended grounds." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed here for three nights during our time in Delhi and had an excellent experience overall. The hotel is beautiful, from the lobby to the hallways to the rooms, and all of the staff we interacted with were professional and welcoming. Our room was very nice, although we could tell that it was aging in places. That said, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, which are the most important features. The breakfast, which was included with our rate, was truly excellent, with a wide variety of both hot and cold choices, both Indian and international. Overall we were very pleased with our stay here.

I visited the hotel few months ago & the experience was quite enthralling. Heard a lot about history of Delhi from Mughals to Colonial rule. The hotel reflected it in a serene manner. From it's location i,e. on Aurangzeb road to being a part of Lutyen's Delhi & having a colonial charm the hotel reflected the historic charm. Service could be enhanced a bit however rest is fine especially the interiors. I even enjoyed the nearby Khan market & Lodi garden which reflected the beautiful & urban vibe of Delhi.

I enjoyed my stay at my room which had a very classic regal and old world look. Loved the automated toilet feature. The only feedback would be to 1) have slightly larger bathrooms (which are very small even in a suite!) and 2) put a instructions card for the nespresso and kettle. Also, rooms above kitchens are very noisy even late night and early mornings.|Kamlesh at Breakfast was very warm and helpful, breakfast was good. In-room dining food was good.|Rates seem to have increased in the last few months by a lot. Wish it was more affordable for frequent visits.

My recent few days at The Claridges, New Delhi, for a business trip were nothing short of exceptional. The entire stay was top-class, with every detail, from the service to the food, perfectly executed. The culinary experience was a definite highlight. We had the pleasure of dining at the hotel's Indian restaurant, which was, without a doubt, the best meal we had during our entire trip to India. The flavours and quality were truly outstanding. However, the absolute best part of our entire stay was the hotel's chauffeur, R N Singh. We had the pleasure of using his services for several rides, and he is a genuine star. His service was top-notch, always going above and beyond expectations. Mr. Singh's professionalism, warmth, and dedication to ensuring a flawless experience were truly remarkable. He alone is worth five stars and is a massive asset to the hotel. For any traveler seeking impeccable service, fantastic dining, and a truly memorable experience in New Delhi, The Claridges is the only choice. Highly recommended!

This was my preferred hotel years ago in Delhi and I satayed there 3-4 times before 2020. a charming colonial hotel it was and I had such good memories I only wanted to return.|Well a big disappointement!!!|The management has changed and the hotel lost all the charm it had. No personal touch what so ever and the feeling became like you book into a hilton.|Bars and restaurants added so there is a lot of croud.|Tthe Chinese restaurant I tried was with mediocre food and not good. After bringing me a plate of ribs before I had a chance to finish my dim sum and soup I asked to wait so instead of doing a new portion they brought me the same plate kept warm with hard uneatable ribs after 20 minutes.|Breakfast is just ok nothing more and the dining room in the middle of the lobby feels cheap and unpleasant.|The room is just OK amenities are poor and even the slippers they provide are of the cheapest quality there is nothing to compare with other hotels with the same price in India.|For me, one that wanted so much to return here because of the great memories I had in the past it was a huge disappointement.|So if you want a hotel with charm take The Imerial and if you want a busy high end hotel there are better ones in Delhi |This hotel has turned into a bad combination between the new and the old|NEVER AGAIN

I had a wonderful stay at Claridges! With its beautiful interior ambiance, delicious food, and friendly helpful staff, I’m sad to be leaving. The buffet breakfasts were especially wonderful—everyone was attentive each morning, especially Om the restaurant manager and Hariom Robin one of the wait staff. I’ll be booking here next time I’m in Delhi!

I was only in Delhi for 48 hours nevertheless the hotel was excellent with a good restaurant that again catered for my stomach, damaged during cancer treatment, as had others in the Taj group. They also went to the trouble of getting medication for me. The room was comfortable and the hotel set in a quiet and attractive part of the city.
