You know something... I was planning to give 4 stars due to the portion size, but the extremely high quality of food and service helped bump this place back up to the coveted fifth star.
Location is very bright, sunny and small, about the size of a slightly-less-than-conservative dining room. The kitchen they use is smaller than the one I had in my college dorm room... Don't let this deter you at all. Food and drink came out relatively quick, as was the turnaround for customers. Typically, when someone was walking, someone was finishing up. They also play music from vinyl records, which I think is a really nice touch.
Ovaltine hot chocolate, had about the same amount, by volume, of milk foam as it did hot chocolate. Great if you love milk foam found on cappuccinos (which I do). It seems to me this is what distinguishes it from a regular hot chocolate. It was, as another Yelper wrote: "warm and chocolaty." It was also a tad sweeter than most hot chocolates I have had in Vienna so far.
French toast with bacon and fruit was excellent. The dish was extremely well balanced in terms of bacon to toast to fruit to syrup.
French toast ranks in the best I have ever had in my life. It was cooked perfectly where the outside had a teeny tiny bit of crispness, and the inside was warm, and cooked to just past the point of gooeyness. Therefore, the toast was an experience to savor with every chew.
Bacon was great (isn't it always :D). It is thin, not overcooked, and the fact that it was crisp but not crispy like a bacon flavored potato chip worked extremely well with the dish. It was also piled on top of the french toast, acting like a part of the dish rather than a side dish.
Maple syrup was less vicious than most, but this is usually true of real maple syrups. It was also not overly sweet, and did wonders for the toast and bacon. I tried the experience of the toast and bacon together adding its mapley "two cents" without overwhelming the dish
The fruit was varied and good. Actually sweeter than the syrup. I would have liked just a touch more though.
While I did thoroughly enjoy my meal, I left and while I was no longer hungry, I did not feel my rather voracious appetite satisfied, especially since I woke up late enough that I had effectively skipped breakfast. So, thinking about what I would write, I thought I would deduct a star for the portion size. H
However, I thought some more and realized that I do, in fact, have a voracious appetite, and that quality over quantity matters. If there was a large portion size, then the experience of the awesome french toast would be trumped by the desire to eat everything on my plate (which happened once or twice elsewhere and did, in fact, take away from the experience).
Service was wicked nice!
