The Boatshed makes for a dream getaway! We stayed leading up to Christmas for three days to start our trip to NZ and it was lovely. The meals (breakfast and dinner) are delicious, the staff is charming and helpful, the views are stunning, and the decor is the perfect beach chic. We also rented one of their picnic trucks for the day to explore the island and that was very easy and fun. The resident pup, Harry, is a delightful character to only adds to the charm. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I can't say enough about this hotel, owners and staff. The place is first class with all kinds of little special touches you can't even imagine. From owner transport to welcome drinks to cookies and soft drinks in the room, every detail is thought of and delivered with love. The chef is an exceptional talent, and breakfast and dinners are a culinary experience that shouldn't be missed. The design and views of the hotel are as unique as the experience. The bungalows are roomy, so comfortable with beautiful views. Access to renatl car for the day is a great touch. Thanks to everyone for making our first trip to Waiheke memorable.

Very hard to express just how magical and amazing our experience was staying at The Boatshed recently. Jonathan and his team are so gentle, generous and intuitive. We felt truly relaxed and at peace throughout our 6 night stay. My husband and I were celebrating two major events and there really is nowhere else we would want to be on these occasions as the hospitality we enjoyed was truly world class. Thanks again to Sebastian who cooked us the best steak we have ever had! Barb is also a fantastic addition to the team - she is a perfect hostess. Thanks again to everyone there who looked after us so well, we will remember and treasure these memories forever. Truly the highlight of this year for us!

This was perhaps the best bed and breakfast experience we have ever had. The Breakfasts were above and beyond. They have shuttles to take you around the Island if necessary. And while we heard from others that all of the rooms are nice, the "lighthouse room" which is a 3 story "room" was spectacular. You can see the top floor (upper right in the picture). The windows all open/slide to the side so you have an open air room overlooking the ocean. Just spectacular.

There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic our stay at The Boatshed was. From the second you arrive and lay eyes on its well curated main space and ocean views, you know you’re in for a treat! Jonathan, his father David and the entire staff (special shout out to Mila!) were so kind and accommodating. We ate breakfast at The Boatshed every morning and highly recommend others do the same. The chefs on staff are wildly talented and each mornings meals were better than the last. It’s perfectly situated to Orenoa and a nice walk or quick taxi ride away from other island hotspots. The Boatshed is your home away from home on Waiheke and the only place you should stay when visiting.

From the decor to the amenities, to attentiveness of the staff, the Boatshed Hotel is pure class. The breakfasts (both cold and hot, including fresh baking) and dinners are incredible- some of the finest meals we had in New Zealand. There is a short walk down the hill to the beach, and 15 minute walk along a beautiful path to the town for more restaurants, shopping and gelato. There is a several km walk along a coastal track accessible on foot from the hotel.

Everything about The Boatshed is pure magic. The staff is absolutely outstanding. Jonathan and his whole team were the calmest most relaxing people who helped us with any and everything we needed, most of the time without us even asking! From the moment we were picked up at the ferry, we had the most incredible time. The food is outrageously good- both breakfast and dinner were our best meals on the entire island during our 3 days. The room was so lovely, clean, spacious, and the housekeeping staff was so wonderful. The views are amazing, the location is perfect as you are removed from town but it’s so close to walk into town or to the beach. If we didn’t live so far we’d be back multiple times a year!

We stayed at The Boatshed for our first few nights in NZ, and used the quiet and beauty of this inn to adapt time zones. The hosts are incredibly kind and generous, and helped us with our wine tours and hiking plans. We dined there one night and it was one of the best meals we had in NZ - simply delicious. Welcome home to paradise! From the instant you arrive, you are met with warmth, comfort, attention, a gorgeous view and delicious food. Rooms are beautifully appointed and probably the most comfortable bed EVER. The staff all go all out to make your experience the best. Be sure to also ask to be connected with Chris for driving, wine touring, etc and you'll have an experience you'll smile about for the rest of your life. Can't wait to come back!
