Step into The Belmont, a chic bar where classic black-and-white films set the scene for expertly crafted cocktails and a vibrant yet cozy vibe.
"The Belmont opened in 2010, and it's still the same tavern that only allows 40 patrons in at a time, plays black-and-white favorites like Casablanca on mute, and stocks some of the finest bottles in Charleston. The menu leans towards the classics, but some newbies make it to the list every now and then." - Erin Perkins
"Timeless craft cocktails in an intimate setting. Ask Mickey to pour you one of Fuzzco’s favorites, a Bell’s Jalisco or an Aldo Raine." - Fuzzco
"Upper King Street is known for its bars, but The Belmont is one of the more sophisticated ones. A somewhat long, narrow space, there isn't a bad seat in the house, although the two-person high-top tables that run along the glass front make for entertaining people watching. There's also a cozy couch, intimate booths, and a bar—which is the real reason you come here: The cocktails are expertly done."
"The Belmont, Charleston by Fuzzco. Timeless craft cocktails in an intimate setting. Ask Mickey to pour you one of Fuzzco’s favorites, a Bell’s Jalisco or an Aldo Raine."
"For craft cocktail enthusiasts, this place is a Fernet-foggy dream come true. Open nightly at 5:30, there are black and white movies projected on the back wall, a 1950s clock hanging from the tin ceiling, dark corners and cozy booths, and not too many people at any one time allowed in the door. Excellent drinks come on cloth beverage napkins, homemade pop tarts and charcuterie come from the kitchen, and in general the ambiance oozes the edge of film noir." - Stephanie Burt
