Friendly staff, tasty food, delicious tea (and excellent selection). Good prices and fantastic views.... what more do.you want??? Very cosy spot by the river with mountain views. Nice inside and out (on the sunny terrace). Amazing looking breakfast/brunch options and great cakes/treats. Lots of good tea and coffee on offer.. by super nice staff.. who speak many languages! Prices are very good too!!

A beautiful hotel with stunning views! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was beautiful, scrambled eggs cooked to order! 10 minute walk through the town from the train station. Would definitely return.

I've had the pleasure of visiting The Aarburg Cafe in both summer and winter, and I can honestly say it offers the best breakfast and brunch in Interlaken! Their menu features amazing choices, especially for those of us with dietary restrictions—there are plenty of delicious dairy and gluten-free options available.||The coffee is simply the best, and the seating is cozy, whether you choose to sit indoors or enjoy the breathtaking views of the river and mountains outdoors. ||The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I want to give a special thanks to Rachel, who was so friendly and caring during my summer visit. Additionally, I’d like to extend my appreciation to the entire Aarburg team, especially Kat, Vanessa, and Wiki. Thank you all for making my time such a wonderful experience! I can't wait to come back!

The Aarburg Hotel & Café is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While it’s tempting to take the shortcut, I’d recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weather—it’s much easier for pulling luggage.Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can.One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffee—it lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The café is pet-friendly, so don’t be surprised to see a few furry friends around.The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night. With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. I’d happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.

Perfect place for lunch. Service is quick and friendly. Egg Benedict is close to perfection. Desserts/cakes look delicious (didn’t try them though), there were some original cakes on display. Baby changing table available. Very clean.

I have lost count on how many times my sister and family have been to Aarburg now, but it’s safe to say that we absolutely love the place. The service is exceptional the food is high quality, everything on the menu is delicious and ever since I have had my first dirty chai there, it has been my go-to drink. The vibe and atmosphere is super cozy and i love how attentive to detail they are. The cakes are delicious and they change menu every season! Can’t say enough good things, just go see for yourself 😍🔥

WORST SERVICE EVER! I legit went to this breakfast place and they were so mean to me. I ordered Shakshuka and they had no nuts on it on the menu and then it came out with nuts so I said I couldn’t have it and they were like okay well we’ll make you a new one but you’ll be getting charged twice and I was like what why that makes no sense why wouldn’t you be able to make a new one. And he said because it was my fault? When not even on the menu it ever said it has nuts? And now I’m having to pay for it when I just tried to have a calm discussion about my allergy, how severe it is and how even the smell can make me have an allergic reaction and I legit get charged for it I’m so upset right now they were so mean to me they said I was “bullying them” to try and get out of paying when I had to watch all my friends eat and I legit WATCHED my dish go to someone else I’m actually so mad

The cafe is so cute and cozy inside and has a patio with river views. The coffee is great and Chili Eggs were exceptional

I absolutely loved this place. The staff was so fantastic. And may I say, they make the absolute best cappuccino. The room was extremely clean and the location was perfect. The adjacent river was beautiful. Also, We enjoyed being slightly away from the business of Interlocken. We will definitely return.

Amazing cafe! Got a delicious flat white and there was both oat and lactose free milk alternatives available. Such a great view of the water as well!

This is the most wonderful hotel in Interlaken. The staff are incredible and friendly. The food at the included breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very clean.

Absolutely loved this place. Had a single room with a river view and it was spectacular. Clean rooms with towels and shampoo/soap. Comfortable bed. Free breakfast in the morning. Really have no complaints with this place. Great location outside of Interlaken so it's quiet but a close walk into town

Was in Interlaken about 2 months ago and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Owners were fantastic and served patrons themselves. Great beer selection and there happens to be a laundromat right next to them which ended up being a plus. The views can't get much better than this.

I was so pleased with my stay at The Aarburg! Everything was just right: - friendly helpfulness of the hosts and their staff - the location of the hotel so close to downtown - the immaculate room - the stunning view from my window - the excellent breakfast It was a great decision to stay at The Aarburg, and I look forward to returning!

Hidden gem in Interlaken! Great tasty Swiss food, large portion, friendly service and cheap price (this is Switzerland after all). I come to Switzerland 2-3 times per year on business and favorite place to visit is the Jungfrau region near Interlaken. This hotel restaurant is tucked away from tourist area of Interlaken and serves home made Swiss food for a song! Wanted the family to eat traditional Swiss meal and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend

Worth every penny, after a long day on the train from Paris my wife and I went in search off a meal. This place blew us away. The asparagus ravioli was excellent and the lamb knuckle was the best dish I have ever had in a restaurant. The host was super friendly and helpful. she went out of her way to explain how the bill works in Switzerland. Local beer on bottles and on tap. The restaurant was very authentic feeling also.
