Taverna Volpetti

This was an amazing culinary experience for myself and two young adult children. The food here was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable, and the whole atmosphere and experience was a great way to end our time in Rome. I love to see where they are excited about the food and engage. I would highly recommend this place if you like quality food that is made with love and care for the food. I got lost in the food and forgot to take more pictures, but everything was absolutely amazing. Wish I had more room to eat more.

I had chef specials on that day which was recommended by the staff there. Food is quite nice. Service is definitely the part made my experience here 11 out of 10. The lady who served me is passionate and attentive the whole time I was dining there. This places is definitely one of my favourite one is Rome.

Best food we had in Rome and the staff is also nice, with good English skills! I really recommend the cod fish panzanella , the amatriciana and the tiramisu!

A delightful experience awaits you at Volpetti!! My tour group and I truly enjoyed our time at this lovely restaurant. Our 3-course meal included a selection of cold cut meats and cheeses, fresh pasta with greens and potatoes, and a strawberries dessert with crumble. Wine was delicious as well. Be sure to stop by when in the neighborhood for a delightful service and a great meal experience!!

Fantastic lunch!! Great outdoor seating and welcoming and professional service. Extensive wine list on the more $$ side. The beef tartare was exceptional, as were the lamb shank and wild boar with a pumpkin purée. The chocolate mousse with mango also exceeded expectations. $$, but quality and value for the money. Menu also in English.

One of our favorite restaurants in Rome! Antipasti: Swordfish pazanella was excellent. Wagyu with roasted vegetable was unctuous and amazing. Veal ragout in vegetable pouch was also wonderful. Primo: All of the pastas were tried were excellent. Risottos were excellent too. Secondi: Duck with pumpkin and pistachio was tender, moist and delicious. Desserts: This is by far the best tiramisu I've ever tasted. Gorgonzola semifreddo was delicious too. Highly recommended!!!

Me and my friend traveled a long way to visit the taverna, however got a bit disappointed as the service was mean and slow. They have changed the menu and couldn’t recommend anything so we ended up selecting randomly after which my friend could not eat a bit of her carbonara as it smelled of sunflower oil. Service was exceptionally slow and Boone really cared about us. Food was average. Will not comeback.

Loved this place. The maitre d was so friendly and knowledgeable I just went with his recommendations and he did not disappoint. Mushroom risotto, porcini entree and such delicious wine. I’ve never had a Prosecco like the one he recommended, outstanding.

The place is lovely, it could do with softer lighting in the evening or something to warm up the ambient. Service was friendly and attentive. Wine list is really good even for by the glass selection. Food was excellent, simple yet sophisticated. I had "drunk octopus", which was really good and perfect truffle tonnarelli.

Was really great-had the gnocchi ragu and it was awesome. Was reasonable and in a cute neighborhood.

Overall, I was disappointed and found it overpriced and little care for the price. I was in the mood for vegetables and therefore had two vegetable plates, a caponata (that they recommended to me) and a gratinee artichoke. The artichoke was actually rather special - with an unusual cream sauce on the side. However, the caponata (at a hefty 9 euro) was clearly microwaved and came to the table partially ice cold and the other part warm. The bread was more interesting than the average, but the charge of 2.50 euro for once person was simply too much. My simple two vegetable dishes with water and bread (no coffee, no dessert) cost 22 euro. Many other places provide spreads of vegetables for much less.
