Tartine Sycamore in Hollywood is your go-to spot for fresh-baked pastries and inventive brunch dishes, perfect for any casual meet-up or work session.
"Tartine Sycamore is the kind of place you go when a friend-of-a-friend cold emails you about your job (a.k.a. they want to "pick your brain" for career advice). The Hollywood bakery and restaurant is a reliable spot for a quick lunch, whether it’s their great grilled cheese with sour cherries or a salmon tartine on chewy-tender sourdough. Enjoy your average-quality small talk, some high-quality bread, and be on your way." - sylvio martins, garrett snyder, nikko duren
"Tartine’s Hollywood location has provided the surrounding neighborhood the all-day cafe space that it desperately needed. The menu is filled with excellent brunch dishes like the smoked salmon tartine and a fried chicken sandwich with lacto-fermented papaya salad on top, not to mention excellent pastries - the savory and herbaceous bacon and chive scone is our favorite. Though the space can definitely get crowded during peak lunch hours, there always seems to be a spare table open for you and your laptop." - brant cox, arden shore
"“Do you know what’s secretly a Thai restaurant? Tartine Sycamore. It’s run by chef Dan [Rabilwongse], my Thai brother. He’s a fancy French chef, but all these little things finally crept onto his menu after he left Bouchon. I was like, “This is so exciting, dude.” Their fried chicken sandwich has a lacto-fermented papaya salad on it, and it’s marinated with all Thai spices, so it tastes Thai. There’s also a porridge, a jook! Very Thai-style. And a nam salad, which is based off his mother’s recipe. She put nam on the map in Thailand, and even sold it in Bangkok Market at one point. Now he’s making it out of Tartine.”" - kat hong
"There’s not a pie we don’t love at Cento Pizzeria, the pop-up cooking every weekend at Tartine Sycamore in Hollywood. These are true Neapolitan-style pies - heavily fermented, blistered, and fluffy sourdough crusts - but the toppings are anything but traditional, from the Green Goddess (salad, green goddess dressing, herbs, red onion, and feta) to the Beef Birria. DM for pick-up - app delivery also available." - brett keating
"Unlike Tartine’s original (and now closed) location at The Row DTLA, Tartine Sycamore in Hollywood is alive and well - and settling in as the casual cafe the area desperately needed. The menu is filled with solid dishes like the smoked salmon tartine and the spicy chicken sandwich, not to mention excellent pastries - the bacon and chive savory scone is our favorite. Though the space can definitely get crowded during peak lunch hours, there always seems to be a spare table open for you and your laptop." - brant cox, brett keating
