"Orinoco has some of the best tacos in town, and prioritizing it for a late-night meal is always a great idea. Definitely get a round of the tacos de chicharrón—instead of crispy, potato chip-like slices of fried pork rinds, Orinoco’s are soft on the inside and seared on the outside, resulting in a fun mix of textures. And, yes, you should also go for their tacos al pastor, which are arguably the best in all of CDMX. In other words: this place (with several locations throughout town) is exactly what you’re looking for after a few rounds of mezcal, especially since they’re open until 3:30am during the week and even later on the weekend." - guillaume guevara
"You probably already know that Orinoco hassome of the best tacos in town, but we’re including it on this list because you might not know they’re only $2 each. And yes, while you should definitely order a round of tacos al pastor, it’s the tacos de chicharrón with Monterrey-style fried pork rinds that keep us coming back again and again. They come topped with thin slices of avocado and are served with baby roasted potatoes and homemade salsas, and the chicharrón has a soft, tender interior and a perfectly seared exterior. They’re open until 3:30am or later seven days a week, but for the best experience, come by on a Friday or Saturday night after a few rounds of mezcal." - guillaume guevara

"Even if you’ve been to Orinoco two or three times before, you should still prioritize at least one late-night visit when you’re in town. Definitely get a round of the tacos de chicharrón—instead of crispy, potato chip-like slices of fried pork rinds, Orinoco’s are soft on the inside and seared on the outside, resulting in a fun mix of textures. "You could make a reservation at Pujol for the mole (which, last time we checked, was 3,093 days old), but after a big lunch in the city of big lunches, maybe you should just eat tacos instead. The cochinita pibil tacos at El Turix in Polanco reign supreme, but after a few glasses of wine at Hugo, you might not be able to walk miles for them. Lucky for you, good tacos are everywhere in CDMX, so your next stop is going to be the Roma location of Taqueria Orinoco, which will do wonders for your wine-induced hunger. Yes, order the al pastor tacos, but also try the taco de chicharrón, which involves a melt-in-your-mouth interior and a seared exterior that might render you speechless as you approach the counter to order another round. And if the tacos de chicharrón convince you that your evening won’t be complete without a full-on taco crawl, we, of course have options: head to Tacos Don Juan for quesabirria tacos, grab the best vegan tacos in the city at Por Siempre Vegana, or order a variety of tacos de guisado at Tacos Hola el Güero (make sure to add a hard-boiled egg)." - willa moore
