Taqueria Nueve is my favorite taco spot in Portland. Their tacos are all very traditional and they carry many varieties that other Portland taquerias do not. Their lengua tacos are my favorite and I find myself thinking about them often. The servers are all very accommodating and kind while providing excellent service. Please check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic Happy hour! And truly a delicious margaritas! There are 150+ mezcal's on the menu! Head in and have yummy eats of things like guacamole and fresh made chips, beet salad with habanero crema, and delicious tacos on happy hour.

Between the tasty margaritas, yucca fritters and delicious tacos, I can't wait to go back! Seriously good food. If you're in Portland, it's a must!

We popped in for date night and ordered Guac & chips and Tacos (Barbacoa, Beef Suadero and Chicken) Claim to fame largest selection of Mezcal on Portland - akin to Matador's largest Tequila selection in Portland (not a fan of either beverage) but they have a great Guava Cider that I tried and dear wife got a spicy mango froz3n drink. It's a nice place to add to our inventory If place to return for more meals

Such a great place! The service was awesome. The food fantastic. The only downside was the wait. But to make it less painful they allow you to order a drink while waiting for your table to be ready. I ordered their Sangria. It was fantastic! We started with their Totopos y Guacamole aka chips and guacamole. Their guacamole is very creamy and tasty! We then had their tacos. I had the Pescado and Camarones a la Diablo tacos. My partner had the Carne Asada amd Pescado. The camarones aka shrimp taco has some heat to it but they were all awesome. My favorite was the Pescado. We then finished the evening with their Churros. They were amazing. They melted in your mouth! Definitely the highlight of an amazing evening! While there was the wait when we arrived in the end it was definitely worth it! Will be back very soon!

The tacos were street taco size, small but nicely done. Pescado and shredded pork tacos were good. I ordered a regular margarita, light ice. Because I drink slowly and I don't like drinks when the ice melts. But you don't get a lot in your drinks because when I said light ice the bartender gave me less than half a glass! And this is a small glass. So basically $11 for a half cup! We had a larger group of seven of us. Also just be aware that they add an automatic 20% for large groups and another 5% for kitchen. Really busy place on Saturday night. Had to ask for my drink twice as they gave it to someone else mistakenly. Just probably not enough wait staff for a busy night so you will probably need to flag down the waitress when you need something.

I come for the empanadas and stay for the energetic environment and delicious margaritas. Service is always 10/10. The servers are always on top of it and crack jokes. They really make the dinning experience one you want to come back for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here with a couple friends, date night or with the family. I've gone for all and it's been amazing each time. You must try the empanadas and all there amazing sauces!

Here is a thought. Pay your staff a living wage, adjust the menu prices as needed. Then if no one shows because it's 'too expensive', even though there is no tip line, then it is not a sustainable business model. Don't slip this lazy book keeping guilt onto the customer.

Continues to be a super solid place. Great food. Friendly service. Unbelievable drinks. And a cool hip atmosphere on the edge of the warehouse district in inner SE PDX.

Went in during dinner period, 5:45 or so. Not many folks there. Pros: Service was great, friendly and accomodating, hence the 2nd Star in the rating. Cons: Otherwise didn't dig the music and the food was pretty terrible. Had the elote which looked and tasted like they simply dipped it in mayo and sprinkled paprika on it. For 5$ the tacos were tiny, not really well filled, and the most flavor I experienced was from the limes accompanying the tacos. I had the Barbacoa which is usually a tasty dish at other spots yet this one tasted like the meat had been boiled with no love or flavor. Not to mention $5 for tacos is criminal no matter who's selling them.

Let's just start off with their most horrendous crime (I like to end on a positive). I know Portland is notorious for charging exorbitant prices for tacos when a solid taco in Cali can be found at a truck for $2, but Taqueria Nueve has the audacity to charge $5 for a single "Camarones del Diablo"! It's so small it could fit into my palm. The flavor was not what I expected. It should have been more tangy and it was not as spicy as I would have imagined. Ok, so the good: the "Empanada" was a tad too oily, but it was also nice and crispy on the outside while chewy on the inside. The tuna belly was succulent, and with the sea salt and mayo based dipping sauce the ocean vibes were perfectly captured in my mouth. Now for the positive end: "Betabel". Two different kinds of beets with a smattering of pumpkin seeds was just the refreshing salad I needed to counter the greasy empanada. However, we laughed at the fact that half the bowl was empty. Maybe I'm not accustomed to the gourmet cooking style Taqueria Nueve must believe they're putting out if they're charging this way, but let me tell you, I can cook an enchiladas at home that will be just as tasty but won't cost close to $17 to make ‍

As a bay area native, I'm constantly looking for great mexican restaurants. I had heard about this place from some San Francisco friends so I finally checked it out last week and it was DELICIOUS! I do wish they offered burritos, but everything else we had (chili relleno with carne asada, ceviche, enchiladas, chips and dips) was perfect. :)

This was the worst food I have ever had the displeasure of trying to eat. Please just go to Taco Bell, or go to bed hungry instead of eating here. I don't see myself as an avid Yelper, but this had to be said. When we entered they were fairly busy and there was a wait, but that's not the issue. There is nothing wrong with waiting or ordering some drinks while people do their thing. Everyone was incredibly nice and I tipped 20% because of the service. The issue was how bad the food was. I took a chance on this place as we are in the area for a conference. I ordered the brisket enchiladas, the family ceviche, yucca fritters, two carnitas tacos, and two carne asada tacos to go. An $80 bill with a 20% tip is $96. I spent nearly $100 on this thinking this would be an excellent time to feast mode after a long day. The carne asada and carnitas tacos were so dry and flavorless I was wondering if this was what eating a shoe was like! The ceviche had a subtle sweetness, but no lime, salt, or substance (bland)! It was also $17 on its own for what was a hugely disappointing serving size. It went into the garbage anyway, so I guess who cares (???). The enchiladas were simply salsa verde flavored! Toppings? What toppings? I am so disappointed at spending nearly $100 on food that we ended up throwing away. I've never thrown away a taco in my life until today. I am in mourning! Please go elsewhere. Don't be sad like we were. :/ P.S. - I'd love my money back if you read this. This was tragic and an offense to Mexican food as a whole. I will not be recommending this to anyone. I would rather go to SEATTLE for Mexican food than eat here again. Sincerely, A disappointed conference goer.

Service was really good, drinks were good, food was good but chicharrones weren't my favorite.

Loved the vibe and energy of the place that was fun and refreshing; the inside was adorned with cool chandeliers and painted with vibrant color. The food tasted good but was very small in size, making it a not so worth it for its price...I got the Pork Chile Verde that was a warm and flavorful concoction filled with tender pork pieces. It came in a tiny ramekin for the price of $7 (this was also during happy hour). My friend and I also felt a little strange about the service. The staffs may have been too efficient at their jobs that it made our dinner felt rushed: they checked in on us every 5 minute, poured us water very abruptly, and cleared our table and gave us our bills immediately after we put our last bites in our mouths... Food was of a goof quality and I totally tasted that but I don't think I'll be coming back to this place anytime soon.

It's a beautiful space but it took 45 mins for them to even take our food order. The sangria was underwhelming and the service was not what it should have been for a restaurant like this. People who were sat after our group were served before us and they made minimal effort to check on us. Good margaritas and good tacos. Hit or miss.

This place always does the job when you want some quality tacos and margaritas! They have a happy hour that goes from 4-6, with some tacos being $3 a piece. It is still slightly spendy for a taco...until you actually try it. Ther quality of meat and ingredients used can justify the price. It seems that everytime I visit this place, they are always busy with a good crowd. Ther service here is also personal and professional. I haven't had a bad experience here at all.

I went to this place with a large group and our experience was subpar. When making the reservation, they asked if we preferred inside or outside seating. When I said outside, they explained that they could not accommodate a group that size with the table situation. Okay, that's fine, but then why did you even ask? Worst Palomas we've ever had in our lives. Wow. Way too much salt, not enough grapefruit juice. When we tried to send the drinks back, our server didn't understand why no one else wanted then until my friend told her they tasted bad. We got a lot of flack from the staff that we were missing a couple people from our original reservation number. Okay, sorry. We're still taking up the same amount of space....Overall, really wish we'd gone somewhere else.

I ordered for delivery via Grubhub and asked the restaurant for NO ONIONS (I have a severe raw onion allergy) in the "Special Instructions" section. They completely ignored and piled on all the raw onions per usual on every item ordered. Please READ the special instructions or don't offer at all.

Solid food, great atmosphere, amazing mezcal selection. Been going there for years. The T9 margarita is probably my favorite margarita in Portland.

My new favorite taco place! I walked in at 5pm on a Thursday for happy hour with friends and the place was dead. We were seated and up ordering drinks not on the HH menu - the jamaican me crazy. It was really good, though, and I'll definitely order it when I go back. We also started with an order of chips and guacamole, and it's by far the best guacamole I've had here. I'm not sure what they're doing differently but it WORKED. Since there were three of us and the tacos are meant to be ordered in trios for sharing, we split the carnitas, the cochinita pibil, and the camarones diabla. all of them were amazing. I think the cochinita might've been my favorite, which took me by surprise. Both that and the carnitas were very traditional, and the camarones were pretty unique. I love the tortillas they use, as well. They're super soft and fluffy, yet not at all soggy from all the meat juices. I'm sure I'll be back soon!

Best Mexican food I've had in Portland so far! I'm from Arizona and recently have been disappointed in options in the portland area after moving here. Came here at the suggestion of a friend for margaritas and tacos and was delighted. Pricing for tacos is appropriate for quality street taco sizes and there is a good selection of options. I had three tacos with my two margs and was full. A couple friends ordered the Elotes and raved about how good it was so I'll be trying that next time. The drink menu is p impressive too. I got two pepino margs cause who doesn't love a spicy marg? The other cocktails looked good for sure tho. We were able to sit indoors on a hot day which was perfect but there is also outdoor seating for anyone more cautious during the panorama. Service was also incredible!

I absolutely love Taqueria Nueve the entire set up is so beautiful and welcoming and the staff is so sweet! I always get the same thing which is the ceviche tostada and let me tell you! It is to die for! I'm personally not a drinker but they have an extremely large tequila collection that is beautifully displayed behind the bar.

The food is beautifully plated, restaurant clean and chic, service fast and friendly. The food also tastes good. I think where they miss the mark is by complicating (and over-charging for) a cuisine that's appeal is its inherent simplicity. Authentic Mexican food is affordable and simple. This restaurant takes the culture right out of the food, leaving something very different. I can't complain about the taste of the food , it is good and high quality if not authentic. As for the price...ouch! No complimentary chips and salsa is served so we ordered $9 guacamole. Generous serving of chips, tiny bowl of guacamole. My relleno was $15 for just a relleno. A single poblano swimming in sauce. My husband's equally expensive enchilada was not an enchilada. Both tasted find. Everything is served a la carte. I am still on the hunt for Mexican food in Portland .

Just had an amazing meal. Enchiladas to die for, delicious ceviche, and all kinds of good tacos, including standout barbacoa. Highly recommend the el Jefe margarita, and for dessert, the churros and tres leches cake. We've known and liked Nueve from its early years on NE 28th, but they've hit new heights.

First off, I have an announcement to make. This is the best restaurant in Portland. I know that's a bold statement and yet I proceed. Second. Get the grilled octopus dish. Seriously. I know it's spending a little more. Do it. You'll thank me later. Third. Daily empanada - get it no matter what. You can't lose. Fourth and finally, the suadero taco is to die for and will melt in your mouth. Enjoy. PS - come during happy hour.

Food was decent, atmosphere pleasant, wait staff appropriate. Nothing about this place was unique or "authentic". What was off the wall was something I've never seen before. A forced pyramid scheme of trickle down socialized economics. Steal from those who have by creating a new "Happy Kitchen" surcharge. Basically saying, "we don't pay our employees a fair wage because the economy is such that we can't afford it so we are placing a tax on our customers to create equality for all". Ain't how it works. This is socialism and wrong. I will never ever ever ever go back to this place. Charity should be an altruistic action not obtained by sneaking in a hidden tax. Hard work is how wealth is obtained.

Overpriced and bland, you be better off going to a taco truck. There be a lot more flavor.

I don't do a lot of bad reviews but here's one. Met a friend here on Friday 1/17/20 at 7:30pm. Ordered a margarita which was good. As I often do I asked the waitress to bring me something good to eat and don't tell me what it is. They know the menu. I was brought three tacos; one each of beef, pork and shrimp. Cool, I like tacos. The beef taco was super dry, the pork and shrimp barely passable. The chips that were served prior were stale. My first (and last) visit. Might have caught them on an off night but there's too many other great places to eat to chance another try. Ymmv.

While living in quarentine is definitely a hardship, it has been made a lot easier by T9's curbside service. They have adapted, and have consistently served the food and beverages we love. We applaud Brent and the T9 team! We appreciate you and look forward to our next rack of enchiladas, and quart of Take-and-Shake!

Was just looking for a late dinner on New Year's Eve but I was really pleasantly surprised :) I had the chicken taco and the calabacitas taco - I didn't know what to expect from a taco with spaghetti squash in it but it was great.

This place can easily be missed, but it's one you'll regret not knowing about sooner once you get a taste. I had a Micheleada, chips and guac and their $5 Asada Taco. So much flavor!! Worth the $5, it's not a water downed gentrified taco and drink. Definitely a new hangout for me!

NEW. MENU. Elotes to die for!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for reminding me of San Antonio and Oaxaca in the same bite. Almost brought tears to my eyes.

Grand opening. Wow, nice drinks and great food. Everything you REALY wanted in Mexican food. It's next to the Next Adventure paddle shop and a great stop before a clinic. And guess what, after the clinic I stopped in again, this time with a friend. The Margarita Girl shaken up a wonderful liquid delight. There is a good variety to chose from and since I was out of my depth here, I picked her suggestion and she did good. The ceviche was very good and then I went for the tacos. The have eight different types of tacos that you can pick and chose from and fresh made hot sauces, one red and the other green. After that a flat iron stake that was cooked to order. Just nice with the good sauce. After the clinic I returned and sat back up at the bar. Talking with the crew there their real stools are 10 days away and they had to use rickety Ikea stools. I love the bar and the large round front glass of the building. These guys fix the place up nicely. There was a good crowd this evening and it may be because of the grand opening. The place was never over crowed, just nicely busy at a comfortable level. You can see inside the kitchen but there was no kitchen noise like in other restaurants. What you heard was the sound of the crowd talking in a murmur around you. For my second round I had the Pulpo. Very nice with a shot of mazcal. Then finished off the extended meal with the chocolate mousse that has a touch of chili. Nice tiny bit of heat for a chilly windy night.

Go here, if only to get the suadero (brisket) taco. The menu is pricier overall, specifically the marked-up for tacos is a little ridiculous. I would only come back during happy hour and order only from the HH menu. Fortunately, this includes the brisket taco for $3, which in my opinion, is still on the pricier side. I think the up charge comes from the fact that the meat is local (Painted Hills beef) and it is very, very good. Like, eyes rolling to the back of your head good. Not a huge deal, but the server brought me the strawberry margarita when I ordered the original. It was still tasty and sending it back just results in a waste of a drink, so it was fine in the end.

Just adding to the goodness of this review. Even now - 2 years later - Taqueria Nueve is STILL THE BEST place for tacos in PDX. We went for our anniversary and had Happy Hour Tacos for $3 each. Seriously the most amazing flavors meshed together to create heaven in your mouth!!! It was my first time ever having FRESH fried pork skins - I have never had a better tasting Chicharrón in my life! I would STILL highly recommend this restaurant. The service is amazing, the staff is friendly and very helpful and assertive. The tables are small - if you are a party of 2. We asked for a larger table.

Tasty mexican food. It's good all the time, and their happy hour makes it even better. You can get a simple delicious classic margarita on the rocks, or a frou-frou version if that's your style. Last time I was here I had the Ceasar with Cevice - mostly fish cevice tossed with a ceasar salad. It was delightful, and had plenty of garlic@ I was here recently with a large group and they were super accommodating. Fast friendly service and great food

Finally tried Taqueria Nueve for the first time last night! Great night to go as well. It was their 5th anniversary, 1/2 off Mezcal Wednesday's, AND it was happy hour! My boyfriend and I got there right at 4pm because we were too excited to wait until later. We were seated at the bar and greeted right away. Our bartender/server was super nice and helpful. We both ordered margaritas which were absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I chatted back and forth and came to the conclusion that they are definitely our new favorite margaritas in Portland! Our server also helped us pick out a Mezcal to try as it was our first time trying it. He was super great and took time to try and see what would be best for our palate. We started with the brussel sprout appetizer which had a delicious chili vinaigrette on it. For dinner I got their skirt steak and my boyfriend got a bunch of tacos (a lot of them are only $3 on happy hour!) He got brisket, carnitas, cochinita, carne asada, and tinga pollo. We both took our first bite and were totally pumped. Then we both looked at each other and came to the same conclusion. The food was good... but it needed salt so bad! Everything did. My steak, all his tacos. Just a tiny little bit of salt. We ended up getting dessert (which we normally never do) because they had CHURROS! FRESH CHURROS! They came with a caramel sauce and OH BOY.... they were good! This review is tough because the stars are just all across the board. I'd give 5 stars to their margaritas and the churro's. 3 stars for their food. I would love to try other stuff on the menu, which I'll definitely do when I go back in for drinks and dessert!

This place has og portland status. This is actually the first place that turned me on to real, legit latino/hispanic/mexican cuisine vs "Mexican Food". And that mexican food in quotes really should ameri-mex or something. No not tex mex. That's delicious and I will speak no I'll of it. Mind you this is probably 20 yrs ago when these geniuses blow my whole perception of this culture's food out of the oh so polluted water it was drowning in. That's the really impressive thing though. In all that time, it's still some of the best I've ever had and honestly still is sometimes . They battle it out in a constant life or death struggle for supremacy and benevolent dictatorship rule of my tastebuds and by proxy my money. They do this with a few other local spots serving similar fare that I wont mention in this review. This is about the absolutely excellent Taquieria Nueve. Damnit.. I misspelled it. Where were u on that one spell check? Ur all up in my biz on everything else but you can't help me spell taqueria.. f it. It's late not changing it. I will start by saying for a fine dining establishment this place ie very very affordable. Well.. as a Long as you dont order too many drinks. The problem with that plan is something called the amorcita margarita. Try it. You will see what I mean. Apologies in advance for the additional $40 on your bill. No it's not a 40 dollar cocktail, but 40 ain't getting you 4 of them. Sorry drinks are expensive at any place that's even kinda nice in Portland. Cant ding a spot for that. Things to try here: Octopus. Done simple and delicious every time. Tacos. Wild boar carnitas every time and the special one. Rotating empanada - never been bad. Wait there was that one time they did some weird mushroom mole thing. Oh wait no. It was incredible! Order it every time you go. It's only like 4 bucks and you get 2, so it's the perfect date appetizer... well.. maybe not so much it's been so good a few times that its caused I don't want say so much a fight as....let's say tension between me and my lady. I remember it like it was yesterday. The sun is going down over your shoulder so you have a slight advantage there but she's fast. Really fast. And she's trained for this sort of thing.... theres only one bit left...the question of someone making a move its just a matter of when....regardless of how that turned out, let's just say I was the loser that evening overall. I mean, it didn't stop there at all. Mole - I ordered the mole; I believe it was served with skirt steak that night, and it came very close to ruining my night by being literally too good. I'm not one of those, "a good mole is so hard to do" kinds of people. It really isn't. Mole in general is a delicious sauce. The secret is out. You can buy some packaged premade stuff from the grocery store that is decent..ish. The point is their Mole is perfect and unique. Best in town hands down. Only reason I dont order it every time is if it's with the same protein as the last time I had it, but this would be an exception. I will always order it when its with the skirt steak. Always. It was so good and the steak was done a technically perfect execution of the term rare. My girl wouldnt stop stealing bites,and mind you I'm on my 3rd and final amorcita(yeah that's what $40 gets you.. hey start saving and just accept it), and as I mentioned before, shes fast and well trained. So yeah I wont pretend I can tell you the exact proportionate breakdown of who got what in the battle of mole hill.. wait. It's a puddle of sauce. Really delicious suace... Jm going with the battle of mole hot springs. Because, it's always a battle over a hill a puddle of sauce isnt a hill. I feel like hot springs would be something people would beaf over, and I would like to believe that if there is a heaven it has a hot spring size area of this sauce, so that feels right for a title. Anyway, the actual beaf that night was some of the best seasoned and prepared steak I had tasted in a long time. Even without the Mole. At the end of the battle of mole hot springs, much of the actual springs remained(I had mole), but nobody was left standing(the steak was gon). It was gone and I was left thoroughly unsatisfied. I dont even remember what she ordered but it was awesome as well. We probably fought over the left overs; which any regular reader of my reviews totally knows is a thing, so it must be true regardless of me remembering if into actually happened. Due to the still undisclosed outcome of the showdown de la empanada from earlier, she was already feisty so I was worried that the whole being left unsatisfied thing was going to be the general trend for the evening. The in the darkest hour I was saved. Desert. Tres leches. If you don't know. You will. Sorry for the new addiction ahead of time. It's so rich and delicious, we couldnt even finish it, and the slice isn't that big. All was good in the world.

Not your typical, go to type of Mexican cuisine. The place is clean & looks extremely high end. The food itself was delicious - different - but delicious. The downside? The prices & the service. Our server, Barak, was unprofessional & condescending. He seemed more interested in perfecting his accent pronouncing words on the menu than actually giving valuable information. The food itself was extremely delicious. But for an $80 bill, we should've had 4 times more food than what we did. My strawberry margarita was tasty but my companions drink was almost undrinkable it was so strong & disgusting. Oh, and did I mention that they charge a service fee on top of the price of the food? They claim this is so they can "give a living wage" to their kitchen staff; I'm sure they could afford to do that with the extremely high prices they already charge. Moral of the story? Stick to the typical Mexican places that have FREE chips & salsa, portions that are equivalent to the amount of money you are spending & prices that don't break the bank.

Hip and chic, I felt a little out of place walking in (I'm not hip and chic) but it's right next to the dance studio where I was taking Balboa lessons. Sat at the bar and the server promptly asked if I wanted a drink. Water please! I then opted for a lengua taco to nosh on while I waited for class to start. Taqueria Nueve quite possibly has the best lengua taco I've ever had. Oh flavorful, tender tongue meat! There was a very hearty amount of meat too. Can't wait to try all their other tacos!

Love this place. Fun atmosphere and super tasty food. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 is because I came in here for lunch time and stood at the bar waiting for someone to come up and seat me for about 10 min. I could hear people in the back and see them walking around and finally someone came over to me and told me they were closed and to come back later. Do yourself a favor and lock the door next time. It cut into my lunch time in a already crazy busy day for me. Other than that this place is really great.

Love this part of town, great location!! We came in search of Elote (Mexican grilled corn) but apparently that is limited during the summer time. Cannot wait to come back for some Elote and yummy margarita drink in hand! Food quality was great! Atmosphere was great! Workers were nice, nothing to complain here :) Lengua is a MUST, most favorite of them all! All the tequila flavors and options too!

Overall - 4.0 Waiting - 30 minutes on 7:30pm Saturday night Food - 4.0 (not variety, but good taco. Desert was awesome) Services - 3.5 (quick and slow) Not big fan of Mexican food, but definitely one of good Mexican food. The price for cocktails seems to be high a bit though

This is a great spot for happy hour and my go to place when I'm meeting a friend. I like the atmosphere and everyone who works there is friendly. The guacamole is amazing, the tacos are yummy and I like the Caesar salad. The margarita is tasty and I also enjoy their sangria. Overall this is a fun casual spot and the location is central top.

The vegetarian options were good here, the veggie taco and Brussels sprouts were the highlight for me. The chips and guac were also stand out, but overpriced at $9 for the basket. I'm not a big margaritas person but they had a lot of options. According to my dinner companions, though, the tequila and whiskey options were not great. Don't see a reason to come back necessarily, but it serves its purpose (which was to seat 4 people right away on a Saturday evening).

Food was decent. The guacamole was average, the pico de gallo was good, the ceviche was amazing, enchiladas were so so, and the chili relleno was good. Drinks were delicious but took forever. Service was slow and took forever to get seated even tho it wasn't busy. Overall it was an average experience.

Their tacos are Killer. This is one of our go to restaurants with friends and family. We loving bring people her for the first time, it's always a hit! Taco Tuesday is happy hour prices on tacos night!

Busy and for good reason. Very tasty. I would've enjoyed the Mexican standard of beans and rice with my $15 enchilada, but it was still good. Great windows and view. Pretty good T9 margarita and micheladas. I do recommend and would return.

Amazing since 2000! I used to eat at the old restaurant back in 2000 and it was my favorite. I moved away and finally got to come back with my family and have them try it. Fish Tacos, Wild Boar, Chile Pollo with guac and chips. Still unbelievable food. So tasty and on point with flavors! Great staff from the hostess to all wait staff, thanks for keeping this a premium eatery! I would normally rate a little lower because you were out of shrimp but the experience is so good I can't dock you for food I couldn't eat. All the best, we'll be back sooner next time.

Come for the food and ambience. Cocktails are expensive, tasty and super weak. Appetizers are on small side with plenty of chips. Mexican corn is yummy and a fair price at 4.00. Oops 3 stars for food and good service by some, not all.

I am torn between three and four stars. We came here for Portland dining month, someplace I have never been. The salsa was soooo good the guacamole WAY above average (besides mine the best I have had in a LONG TIME!). The queso was super salty (better when mixed with salsa). The Chile relleno was amazing again as good as mine. We also got the braised baby goat and again way too salty. Anything that is pickled here errs on the side of too salty. Took us until the end of the meal to figure this out. Total redeeming quality is that our server was super and the manager and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! This was all in all a wonderful experience and I am usually food first but they won me over hands down with their service! Don't even get me started on the dessert! AH-MAZ-ING!!!! The flourless torte was beyond anything sweet I have had in a year easily!!! The Churros were also a direct win!!!

I love this place. Seriously. A friend of mine posted a pic of the corn on the cob she had one night, and I knew I had to try them. In a City littered with corn tortilla taco joints, this restaurant has a leg up with their friendly bar, delicious desserts and fantastic tacos. I think my favorite is the chicken, so far. Be warned if you are sensitive to spice, let them know. The spice on the corn burned my lips off. So delicious, though. They also have a great Mezcal selection and nice flights for offer. Their cocktails are well constructed, and if you like Guacamole? Outstanding. Everyone I've brought here since my introduction has been duly impressed.

Disgusting over priced dog food. $10 cocktail was just ice and mix.. $5 taco with no fixings and bland meat fit only for trash can. the chef should be ashamed of himself and find a new profession. Do not waste your money here.
