"The Riverwalk: Fun for Everyone Stretching 2.4 miles along the Garrison Channel and Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa, the Riverwalk is a paved path perfect for walking, jogging, or biking along the beautiful waterfront of Tampa. Well done Tampa and surrounding hospitality businesses. Nice, clean promenade with many food and drink offerings overlooking the river. You can also take the water taxi up and down the River. Well illuminated. Many placards at points of interest. Some (not too many) benches to sit. Would be nice to have more benches under the shade structures.

Nice walk. Beautiful weather. Wish there were more restrooms, as one of the facilities were out of order. Took me less than 2 hours to leisure walk back and forth. Restaurants are available along the stripe, and nice to gaze out into the water. People run, walk, and bike along, but it never felt crowded. Cool to sit, relax and people watch. I liked sitting on the fake lawn on the Adirondack chairs.

When staying in downtown Tampa, you need talk a stroll along the riverwalk. The early morning is nice and not too busy. You can also access many restaurants and activities along the way.
