"This cozy, elevated gastropub is a neighborhood favorite for a mid-week dinner, whether it’s a date or a family dinner. Decked out in wood paneling with golden sunshine during the day and intimate mood lighting at night, regulars sit down to giant burgers and sandwiches or comfort food like shepherd’s pie and fish and chips. In true tavern form, a well-stocked bar slings house cocktails or frosty craft beers on draft. Weekend brunch is also on deck, with staples like eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy. The outdoor tables along Burnside are the way to go for drinks and bites on warm, summer evenings." - Zoe Baillargeon

"This spot has a definite neighborhood feel to it, but it’s famous across the city for its burger, which is served on a brioche bun with a generous helping of bacon jam (the jam can, and probably should, be ordered with any of the sandwiches on their menu). The casual vibe makes it exceptionally kid-friendly—there are plenty of high chairs to be found at weekend brunch."

"Neighbors greet each other warmly upon walking into Tabor neighborhood standby, eventually sitting down to casual comfort food — including a knockout lamb burger. Tabor Tavern’s juicy lamb patty is complemented by feta and arugula; however, the slightly smoky red pepper harissa sets it over the top. Tabor Tavern is open for indoor and outdoor dining, as well as takeout." - Maya MacEvoy

"A gastropub in North Tabor with friendly, neighborhood vibes, Tabor Tavern is back open with its menu of pub eats, cocktails, draught beer, and wine. It’s also still taking takeout orders over the phone." - Alex Frane

"Neighbors greet each other warmly upon walking into this kid-friendly Tabor favorite, eventually sitting down to casual comfort food, including a knockout mac and cheese. By sautéing fusilli pasta, smoked gouda, roasted kale, roasted corn, and chorizo, Tabor Tavern’s mac and cheese creates an ideal blend of crunch, smokiness, and slight sweetness." - Maya MacEvoy

My wedge salad was delicious. My son fried chicken sandwich fell apart and was not easy to eat. Placing more than one food stick to hold it together might be useful.

The food was under cooked for the hamburger and over cooked the frys. Tho the over all taste was abnormally greasy. The place is chill atmosphere great for talking or just chilling bye your self. Wonderful waitres.

The happy hour is great food! The burger is flavorful and my favorite. I also suggest the Mac and cheese. I just wish there were better happy hour drink options.

The food was very good. I had the black and white burger. I'm not sure what the sauce was on that burger but I would have drank the stuff if I had the chance! So good. Fries were very crispy, which is my preference. We sat outside for a long time before we finally got service. It was a busy night but we were told they weren't serving anyone outside. We explained that we were still practicing covid precautions and our server agreed to help us. She was very friendly and did a great job, but they do need more servers.

Tabor Tavern is a standout gastropub with a warm, rustic charm. Their craft beer selection is impressive, with rotating taps featuring local favorites. The food is a notch above typical bar fare—try their lamb burger or the fish and chips! The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring you never have to wait too long. The laid-back atmosphere, combined with delicious comfort food, makes this place perfect for casual hangouts or after-work drinks.

Been here a few times, and Tabor Tavern never disappoints. Hearty American fare in a dark cozy pub type atmosphere. You might not have to wait if you get there early. The burger has always been good, but today I opted for the fish n chips because it was recommended. Big piece of haddock with malt aioli. Very tasty, and the cole slaw was actually good. I started with the available soup today, Cheesy Potato Jalapeno... was so good and spicy. Really enjoyed the meal tonight, and the service was excellent.
