T.U.N.G Dining

A Great presentation and fun experience. We really enjoyed the delicious anticipation of each course to come, as the menu offered a very vague description of what next to expected 😃… The flavours and textures pairing was surprising and delightful and presentation was pleasing though in some instances maybe a bit plain. Both my wife and I have liked all the courses and we both had picked three favourites morsels, but only one that matched for both of us.( this just proves a point that we all enjoy different foods) However, we also thought that some of the dishes need a bit of work to make them exceptional. Overall a great job Chef !!!👏👏😃 we are looking forward to visiting and dining with you again next time we are in Hanoi 😃 I can’t wait to taste on how you will evolve 😋😃

I had such a great experience dining at TUNG. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Each dish was as so flavorful and just divine. My only dissatisfaction was the desserts. They were all too aromatic and floral in taste and it was quite overpowering for me. They were all nicely prepared though and very pleasing to the eyes. Service was impeccable. Staff were so nice and on point. The ambiance was perfection. I would most definitely go back.

Wow, my wife and I were very impressed! Every single dish on their tasting menu was a winner. They each provided an explosion of flavor, and were extremely well balanced. I can honestly say that some of them were the best bites of food I’ve had in a long while. It was actually difficult for my wife and I to choose a favorite dish, because we highly enjoyed so many of them. We both have eaten at a lot of Michelin starred restaurants over the years, some with two and three stars. The food here compares very very favorably, and it feels like a travesty and huge miss that T.U.N.G. doesn’t yet have stars of its own. The only reason I can think of is that the service and atmosphere aren’t quite at the level of the food, but are still both high quality. The meal was also an extremely good value for the quality. A comparable restaurant in the U.S. would have easily cost 3-5x more. We can’t wait until our next trip to Hanoi to return again!

What a beautiful restaurant! I wasn't sure I would necessarily love having 13 courses over 2-3 hours but my partner and I loved it. Beautiful modern takes on dishes incorporating Vietnamese and international flavours. The accompanying beer menu my partner had was amazing, I kind of wish I had ordered it instead of the wine (although the wine is lovely too). The only two things I'd love to see if (maybe when) I come again would be: 1. Even more Vietnamese ingredients on the menu. I loved the small cards showing which ingredients came from areas around Vietnam but in some dishes there was only one item. 2. Despite it not always being an issue, there is only one bathroom for guests to use downstairs. I'm not sure if it's possible but perhaps adding one more may prevent guests having to sometimes queue (although given the limited capacity of the restaurant I understand it wouldn't always be an issue) Nonetheless those are only small bits of encouragement for what was an outstanding meal. The serving staff were knowledgeable and worked like a well oiled machine. One final note for those who are thinking of coming: this meal is worth every VND, if you want a treat whilst you're in Hanoi this is the place to have it!!!

Got recommended this place by a friend and decided to give it a try and I have to say me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the fine dining experience. The staff were really helpful and really attentive. Each dish brought out were also well explained by each of the staff on which ingredients were used and also how best to enjoy each of the dishes. Each season has a different menu and the theme of our menu was Adventure Train where the ingredients are sourced from around Vietnam. Putting the best ingredients of each region into each dish. We also had the beer pairing to go with the tasting menu, it pairs really well with the flavour profiles. We definitely would be coming back to try different menus when we can and definitely would be recommending to more of our friends. Delicious!

A must-go in Hanoi! One of the best fine dining in Vietnam. The chef offered 17-courses menu with a blend of local and western ingredients. The dishes are minimal but tastes are complex. So worth trying! Need to reserve in advance.

A truly incredible fine dining experience that feels nestled out of the hustle and bustle of old quarter hanoi. The dinner was a journey through Vietnamese flavors and ingredients with unique twists and a perfect birthday celebration for my wife. The service was impeccable and the flavors were delicious and unexpected. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an idiosyncratic dining adventure in Vietnam!

To start, I loved this restaurant. I came with two friends and while they enjoyed, they thought there were still areas of improvement. I think that this is a restaurant that is already doing a great job and has the potential to be a Michelin star restaurant already. My favourite dishes were the pho, the toothfish, and wagyu. Could some adjustments to dishes have been made? Sure. But it's evident that this restaurant is on the right track. I didn't go with the alcohol pairings though -- felt too expensive.
