Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe

Super sweet and delicious first time visit in this place, the method to take different variety of desserts was so good to me. I could try different new bakery that I had never tried before! Sometimes the place is so crowded, but the line moves fast. Also the prices are no cheaper so prepare to being really selected or bring enough for your selection of sweet products!

Walking through the door, the first thing I noticed was how lively the atmosphere was. The space was bustling with a mix of people—some on their laptops, others chatting with partners or groups of friends. The location is convenient, though there’s a bit of traffic passing by. Luckily, there’s a paid parking lot right across the street, making it easy to find a spot. Just be sure to leave the lot on time to avoid getting a ticket. Once inside, I noticed that some shelves were running low on items, but a staff member was steadily restocking them. Being my first visit, we decided to try a variety of savory and sweet pastries. Our picks included the pork roll, spring onion cream cheese doughnut, chocolate Nutella bun, gluten-free double chocolate brownie, and the strawberry vanilla sweet roll. The Nutella bun was incredibly rich, with a flavor almost like dark chocolate. While delicious, it could benefit from a lighter element to balance the richness. On the other hand, the strawberry cheesecake was fresh, creamy, and absolutely fantastic. However, the pork roll was a letdown. The filling tasted like powdered pork, which wasn’t very appealing. I ended up eating around the pork and focusing on the roll itself because their bread is undeniably out-of-this-world good. I couldn’t help but notice the hotdog pastry on display, which looked incredible. If I return, that’s definitely on my list to try. Speaking of which, I also spotted a few customers with burgers and chicken sandwiches that looked and smelled amazing. Next time, I’ll make sure to try their hot food offerings. This place left me with mixed feelings. While their bread and pastries are exceptional, some of the fillings didn’t quite hit the mark. My advice? Be adventurous and try a variety of items rather than sticking to just one. You might discover something you love unexpectedly. Overall, my experience here was great, and I’d recommend giving it a try. Whether you’re here for a coffee date, a study session, or just to explore Japanese and Korean pastries, this place has something unique to offer. Step out of your comfort zone and enjoy! Sure, there might be some hits and misses, but the overall experience will be worth it.

Sw It used to be one of my favorite bakeries in and around Metro Atlanta, but having visited the BufordHwy store, this one at the Duluth is not as good as that cafe both in ambience and the cakes. Food: The cake slices/ mousse were not up to the mark to begin with. So we tried out our most favorite, Tiramisu cup and it was absolutely bland. No sweet or no coffee taste either, just bland. The Hazelnut Nutella Mousse was just out of the world in my opinion. The Strawberry Yogurt was just okay. Got Blackforest slice for Togo and hope it tastes good. Service & Atmosphere: Although the service was fast during the checkout for cake slices, I did see a long line for getting hot savories after they have placed their order. The cafe was dark and could have been lit better with bright lightings like the Buford Hwy cafe. Felt like sitting inside a Hookah bar and didn’t seem family friendly incase you are with kids/ infants. There were food particles on the table, couch and some straw wrappers all around the place table we sat and my adjacent ones. Could have been cleaned and maintained well in my opinion. The cafe had a very nice smell though. BOTTOMLINE: If you really like this place then it’s up to you, but incase if you want to try this franchise, I would recommend the one in the Buford Hwy cafe. Food is decent but the ambience could be a whole lot better. MY PICKS FOR YOU: Hazelnut Nutella Mousse

We love to come here for pastries and chicken nuggets. But ! Can’t believe that it’s always a mess whenever we came here. If we want to eat here we literally have to clean our own table. Just wonder how clean their kitchen would be ???!!!!!

edit 20241025153913 6 Months have passed... I stopped eating bananas because it kept bringing fruit flies in the house. I became vegetarian imeant vegan. not sure what is the difference, but I became one of either. I think I'm Vegan since I eat canned tuna from Aldi's grocery. Amazing place by the way. Better than sometimes Walmart. But anyways, buy a book titled "Vegetarian" by Han Gang. South Korean author lady who won the 2024 Nobel price in literature. Anyways to the no-way Jose to the way to-go wayway..... Don't tell the managers or the owners that I brought outsiders food here. Nice place to study though. Look at their menu. I brought a Brussel sprouts microwavable discounted 30% from sprouts at Peachtree "Y'all means You all" place by the Italian pizza place where bearded man with a flat hat on inside the restaurant asks you whether if you work here, yet I was. Huh? Um.. This place better than Hansel & Gretel. Much bigger, spacious, less clean, but more diverse and lets customer bring laptop and play game all day after they purchase a drink along with their kids taking up the sofa space for others but it's fine because it's bigger than Hansel Gretel at Duluth Suwanee. I ordered iced matcha latte. Not the first time. I think. P. S. I told someone CEO of Nvidia is named Jason. Oops. I meant Jensen. Taiwan let's go. Delightful place to have an awesome dessert or birthday cake . So delicious it satisfies everyone's taste

Would not recommend ordering hot food if you're in a rush. Ordered a sandwich to go, it took 40 minutes. The person in front of me ordered 3 sandwiches, it also took 40 minutes. A couple in front of us ordered a fry and a sweet potato fry and was also there for 30 minutes. I'd understand if the sandwich was the best thing ever or even really good, but it was just okay. Cheese was cheese, meat was a little dry, sauce was okay, and the fries were unevenly salted (some were way too salted). The breads also seemingly have a cheesy taste to them? I got a red bean bun as well as a coconut claw(?). They both had a taste of cheese for some reason, was a really big turn off. May come back another day. I'm really hoping this was just an off day.

I have been going to Sweet Hut for years. I try to support small businesses and also fellow Asians. Last week, my daughter and I went there to buy some pastries and drinks. We sat in one of the booths. As much as I want to provide support, I have to be candid and share that the table was not cleaned. There was also a chicken bone on the floor. There were crumbs on the seats. The customers are supposed to put away their own utensils etc. However, every time I visited SH, I noticed that no one actually cleans the tables or floors . Please, please do a better job with cleaning the dining areas. This is just very basic in the running of a food business.
