When we first arrived, there were tables already taken by a couple larger groups. We noticed the chalkboard stating to expect a 15 minute table service, and we were ok with that. But it was kind of weird to walk in and not be greeted by anyone. We felt like we were being stared at by everyone who was there, like we were in the wrong place... someone asked us if we had reservations and we said no, and then was told they'll help us out.... Someone walked in after us from outside and said she'll seat us soon. Looks like she might've been just starting her shift. Again, she asked if we had reservations, and we said no, and wondered if we were suppose to make reservations. She said no, but they were expecting reservations later...
We weren't led to our table, but was told where to sit, by a finger-point and instructions to help ourselves to the high chair we needed for our baby, so... ok, no problem.... It didn't seem that busy, as the groups seemed to already have been taken care of and were just enjoying their meal. But as noted on their chalkboard, from that point on, we expected the 15 minutes to be waited on, but unexpectedly, it was less than that. We also expected our food to take longer, but surprisingly, it came out pretty quickly, as well. We got the Vegas roll and the Crunchy roll, shrimp udon soup, and seafood laab. The sushi tasted fine. Nothing mind blowing. I did really enjoy the crunch in the Vegas roll. The seafood laab was tasty. It had the perfect blend of herbs and spices. The udon soup was just ok. It reminded me of the instant udon soup packs you can get at the store, but with added veggies in the soup.
All in all, the ambience of the restaurant definitely felt rushed, and I'm not sure if I'll ever choose to go back for the food. This place lacks professionalism in service that could've helped with the rating, but maybe it was just tonight as they were expecting other groups and needed to make space...
