Sushi Bar Shu

We had such a lovely time at Sushi Bar Shu for their omakase service. The attention to detail was spectacular - from service, to ambiance, and to the food. The service is very intimate and it’s amazing to watch the chef work. We had some truly memorable bites from appetizers through the sushi course and dessert. I highly recommend the wagyu add-on- it was the perfect way to end the savory course of the meal. We’ll definitely be back!

It was my birthday weekend and my partner took us here for an omakase experience. Kevin and his associates was so good at their job! Food was delicious, presentation on point. At first they can come up a bit quiet but as the night flow, our food and conversation get more interesting. Will definitely recommend Shu Sushi to our family and friends ❤️❤️❤️❤️ P/S: at the moment they are not serving alcohol so if you are looking to have a drink while enjoying your food. You may bring your drink from outside and pay a small fee.

I had an unforgettable sushi omakase dinner for my birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! Every dish was exquisitely prepared, bursting with freshness and flavour. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful, making me feel truly celebrated on my special day. From start to finish, it was an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable sushi omakase!

It was my first time trying omakase in Vancouver and Sushi bar Shu did not disappoint. Price is reasonable. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was great. Staffs were very friendly and polite. Chef was friendly and interactive. Most importantly the food was exceptional! Ingredients were fresh and authentic. My favourite were the uni ikura chawanmushi and the sorbet dessert at the end. We also added the A5 wagyu beef to our set. Would recommend to everyone who loves omakase.

Since 2019, this is still my favourite omakase place :) Lots of good memory here with my family and friends. Chef Kevin always remember me and Mai is very attentive. It’s always nice to go back and see that some staff remained there. Service is friendly and attentive. Music was a tiny bit too loud for me last time around but I still enjoyed my experience there. I love the overall flavour profile here, quality is always great! :)

What a wonderful lunch! I haven't eaten raw fish in over 10 years, and I'm so glad I went here to try it out. Every bite was fantastic, the service was exquisite and the chef was lovely. It was such an intimate experience, with only 8 customers, 2 chefs and the host.

One of the best sushi omakase experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world, including Japan. Thoughtfully prepared and executed seafood, attentive service and great value for the high fine dining standards it met from start to finish.
