Fantastic food. Great and friendly service. We will definitely become regulars.

Google
best tacos/tortas/burriots and plenty more around here. Quit wasting your money at Taco bell, Hacienda, Chipotle, Q-doba for food that sucks and pay more for it than what its worth...Enjoy authentic taste for the same price or less. All the sauces are home made. It's a small place, but packs big taste. 😋 🤌🎯

Google
Flat out rude. They continuously mess up your food & when you call and try to be nice about things, they hang up on you in the midst. 0/10 do not recommend - you ask for something TO NOT be on your food & you still end up with it anyways.

Google
i will never go back to that store again the 2 cashiers are so disrespectful to customers…i went there tonight she threw change like giving it to a beggar.the way they do their job is so bad.the previous cashiers weren’t like that but now these 2 are so disrespectful to customers…

I've been to a lot of taco places, but honestly I've had the best authentic tacos here 😋 I highly recommend!

Save your time and go to the old flamingos off western ave! It’s a shame I live right down the street from here but I am disappointed every single time. My four year old wanted tacos after a long day and I hesitated but had already made it most of the way home so decided to stop here anyway. 6 steak tacos rice and beans. My biggest issues are always the unfriendliness of the employees on both the grocery side and restaurant. Secondly and most frustrating after paying almost $20, the portions and extremely skimpy. Four tacos are the size of two. And barely one scoop of both rice and beans with the special. I am now convinced that I will not be back to this restaurant- and my family eats out for tacos very frequently. Pictured is THREE taco’s believe it or not - look very closely.

Been going here since childhood and their tacos never miss. Their green salsa could use some more flavor but other than that, the meat has so much flavor you literally can’t get enough. Best tacos in south bend.

Google
The best soft shell chicken supreme tacos ever! They also have good cooked potatoes and fried chicken drumsticks. I love when my husband goes here for food.

Yelp
I don't have any photos, but I will tell you... This supermarket/kitchenette has THE best authentic Mexican steak tacos in South Bend. Hands Down. When the rice and beans are on, it's a perfect lunch or dinner combo.

Yelp
STAfF IS DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!! I Called here because this place i thought it would be a great place to buy from to buy food and as well buy goods for a near by shelter and church , and when i asked to walk to the manager to see if we can order , and pay and just pic it up like that but the women or little girl who answered the phone didnt know what she was doing nor how to to act. she told me that if i wanted to talk to the manager i shouldve had his number i told her i dont know him presnally so i only have the store number, and she kept hangging up on me it is sad that places like this have such crappy workers who are misirable and dont wanna do there jobs.

Yelp
Nice little Mexican market with a good lunch menu, hot, fast and delicious parked my rig on the street a block away and walked in for some tacos great friendly service.

Yelp
Great litle restaurant. Good food ,Fast service and good prices. The restaurant is inside a Mexican tienda.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the foul & unfamiliar & unseasoned taste of the steak meat & the dried up tiny dried up bits of chicken in my taco, clearly the cheapest of the cheap cut.. my bean burrito was flat & runny & flavorless, the only good thing was the corn tortillas shells, Of all the states I've been to Indiana has been impossible for finding good Mexican food & this place has the music blasting super loud just to make things even more uncomfortable ... would definitely not recommend & my burrito order was screwed up & not even so much as an apology & very long wait to correct a simple order, a bean & cheese burrito, maybe the music too loud to hear the order bc I clearly said bean & cheese, the last thing I'd want is that awful tasting steak meat in my burrito... smh

Yelp
Racist and rude if you're not Hispanic, you will be charged more and won't even get served at their restaurants if you're not Hispanic. Never going back.

Yelp
Rosales is a no frills spot on the Westside of South Bend. I didn't explore the grocery area at all, so this is only a review of the restaurant. They've got a small menu of authentic Mexican foods. I think there are specials on certain days- like pastor or tamales. I went with the asada taco combo. The tacos were good, but didn't stand out from any other place I've been. This is definitely a great place to grab food on the go, especially if you need to do some shopping.

Yelp
This is my favorite taco spot in SB. The Mexican style steak tacos are out of this world good!

Matt F.

Yelp
The reviews are spot on... clean grocery store, well stocked and the kitchen looks legit. I had the tacos , just fantastic.. I am trying those poblanos next time. In my quest for best local authentic Mexican, I feel I just got a whole lot closer to it by eating here! I would say neck and neck with Chicago taqueria, which I love as well.

Yelp
I have been coming here since I was a kids and the quality hasn't change. One of the best places in South Bend! I have other places closer to me bu to will drive here just because the food is so good.

Yelp
I'm from California so I often find myself craving authentic Mexican street food. The tacos are very well done ($2.00 each) and they have a wide variety of meat choices from carne asada to al pastor to cabeza. The cabeza is my personal favorite. The horchata is nothing special. They fill the dispenser with ice in the morning so if you stop by in the afternoon the horchata tends to be very diluted. It also doesn't have a distinct rice or cinnamon flavor which I usually look for. On a side note, you can come here to find cuts of meat that you won't see at Martin's. They also do fresh carnitas and menudo on the weekends which is nice.

Joe M.

Yelp
Some of the best tacos in the city. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the downtown area. Their supermarket has anything you could ever need in the kitchen. All around amazing spot

David L.

Yelp
By far the best Mexican to be found in the area. The taqueria is very good and inexpensive to boot (yes, it's marginally more expensive than the neighboring El Paraiso, but the food is just BETTER). Carne asada is flavorful and tender, and definitely tops my list. The market is... alright, but El Paraiso has a better selection and (possibly) slightly better prices on groceries.

Joel J.

Yelp
Love the carne asada here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I eat here two to three times a month.

Yelp
This review applies to the restaurant, and it's already my new favorite Mexican joint after only one visit. I give it full stars for what it is: a no-nonsense authentic Mexican kitchen with great flavors and preparation. This was the first time I've had menudo, so I am no authority, but I can say that a really solid beef broth with great, relatively mild seasoning was there, along with bones, gelatinous bits, chunks of beef. Delicious. I also tried three tacos (lengua, barbacoa, carnitas), and while the fillings were as good, at least, as those to be found on Western Ave, I like this place better for giving a bit of griddle time to the corn tortillas here rather than simply presenting them steamed. Nice added touch of texture. The tacos were mild as served, but green and red hot sauces are available in bottle. From my experience, I take this place's local competition to be El Paraiso, Taqueria Chicago, Tacos El Aguila, and La Nortena. All have their plusses. This one's likely to be my first choice if not too far away for me. El Paraiso does have a better supermarket, marginally. Am I missing any other "authentic"-style places?

Yelp
Best tacos ever, So authentic, even the menu has no english at all. I knew I could only take 4 tacos, but the taste made me ordered 5, which made me feeling good when eating, but bad after (too much food) My to-go place now and thinking going there every week. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I love this place. Everyone is friendly and the food is awesome!! I'm from Phoenix and this is real Mexican food. There store prices are ok. They have everything I've been looking for which is great. Lots of foods other stores don't carry. Best part is definitely the grill though. They make everything from fresh!!

Virginia F.

Yelp
Pretty hit or miss. I used to frequent the taqueria regularly because they made some delicious and unique tacos. For instance, they make a spicy fried chicken which they would remove from the bone, crisp up on the grill and use as a taco meat. Likewise, they would prepare tacos from the fresh chiles rellenos. I am from Texas where there is a tradition of rolling lunch-meat style ham around shredded white cheese, griling it and using it as a taco meat. It's like a tejano "off menu", backyard cookout specialty. They used to be able to make it for me without batting an eye. And the Pastor was incredible. BUT ... unfortunately ... this seems to have really changed. It depends on who is working in the taqueria. They seem to have a fair amount of turnover in that department. Most of the employees are not willing to prepare the fried chicken, chile relleno or ham roll tacos for me anymore. I am fluent in Spanish so I know the language barrier is not the issue. All of this would be tolerable to me (like I said, these were some pretty unique items) were it not for the unclean dining environment. I love a gritty, grocery-side taqueria. Don't get me wrong. But this place can be downright nasty. In fact, I once slid in an open pool of greasy water on the tile floor and landed flat on my face. Not one of the employees offered to help me, clean the spill or even acknowledge that anything had happened. I was humiliated and insulted.

Yelp
Carnitas every Saturday with glass cokes has become a tradition with my family. Get the pork carnitas. You won't regret it

Yelp
I'm so torn between this spot and taqueria Chicago. The meat at Rosales was delish and they're incredibly generous with their fillings, finishing off with a heapin handful of onion and cilantro. The prob? The salsas...the green tasted like they added margarita mix to it, then watered it down. The salsa Roja was marginally better, but I ended up chucking both salsas after trying them. Who does that? Eat tacos without sauce? Exactly, they were that bad. I ended up with dry but still good tacos. As for Chicago? The latter has teeny tiny tacos that sometimes come soggy because they end up ladling the meat juice into the tacos and then wrapping it up. They also scrimp on the garnish-they'll give you a single of cilantro leaf and 4 teeny minced pieces of onion. no I'm not kidding. BUT, the piece de resistance at Chicago is that their salsas are amazing. I can't get enough of them. The perfect marriage would be tacos from Rosales and salsas from Chicago. That would be a four star establishment.

Yelp
Best tacos, burittos and tortas around. Very good prices. Great also if you love the more authentic like Lengua, Barbacoa. Cabeza, Tripa, and the best menudo around!

Stacy. J.

Yelp
This place is very comparable to flamingos, it's a smaller store and it has less dinning room capacity, but one item they have in their menu that I absolutely love is their deep fried pablano pepers. They're so crispy on the outside and it has yummy Mexican cheese on the inside oooozing out. Yum. Also on the weekends in their meat department they have carnitas. Depending on when u go the carnitas might look a bit messy because other customers have gotten their portion, so the presentation isn't the best..... However the carnitas are mouth watering, tender, savory, meat. The meat falls off your fork when you eat it, it's that tender. So you want to try to get there early when they first put the carnitas out. Over all it's not the nicest looking place, nor is it an upscale place, but it's a nice place to grab a bite, and some groceries for a homemade Mexican meal.

Jeff L.

Yelp
Just about the closest to real authentic Mexican food around. The place gets packed right around lunch hour. Fairly priced food. A good place to get some chips and salsa to take home.

Felicia W.

Yelp
I once ate at an authentic taco place in San Diego... I haven't been able to find that taste since I left Cali years ago, until I ate here. If you're looking for authentic then this is as good as it's gonna get. Try the carne asada taco and don't make it American... thank me later

Jacki E.

Yelp
I want to tell everyone about the quality of Rosales fresh meats. It's great. AND they have the biggest chicken wings I've ever seen. They are so good on the grill or in my oven with spices on and BBQ sauce. Thankyou Mr. Rosales. I will be back!!
