An unforgettable experience from start to finish! Service was excellent, incredibly friendly staff and attentive to our many requests. As for the food, i personally can say this was one of the best beef i have ever had. The wagyu was perfectly tender, juicy, and flavorful, tasted the richness of the meat. If you’re a beef enthusiast, highly recommend!

Great food and fantastic, friendly and professional service! Came here with my partner for his first sukiyaki experience and we were very happy with our choice. We had a great meal and a great time in a very relaxed, stylish and calm setting. Akitomo was very friendly, explained the dishes and made us feel content and relaxed during our dinner. The team in the kitchen worked well together, and put together each course perfectly. The meat was exceptional. Overall, we had a very lovely experience for dinner and I can't wait to come back again!

Would highly recommend! Didn’t have a reservation, but they were kind enough to fit us in for dinner. The food was amazing! Everything was so delicious and well explained. Service was also top notch, super friendly staff, they made the experience so special! Thank you Chikarayama, that was one of our best experiences through our entire Japan trip, we will definitely be back!!

Pro tips: - Make a reservation or be denied - Pick set 3 (we tried set 2-4, they’re all good, but set 3 has an outstanding quality already) Note: if you’re in a group of 3 or more, you’ll be seated at L3 which has very authentic seating on the floor, but will be a challenge for the elderly to sit and get up. MUST VISIT IN KYOTO!

I recently dined at Chikarayama and had an exceptional experience. The Wagyu sukiyaki was absolutely divine, with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and rich flavor. The restaurant maintains impeccable cleanliness and provides a cozy atmosphere. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Their extensive selection of amenities, including sauces and side dishes, added to the overall delight. If you're looking for an authentic and memorable sukiyaki experience, I highly recommend.

The beef quality was superb! Really something you cannot find easily somewhere else. The chef and all the staff were very nice. Mayu and Risa served our sukiyaki meals, they were very friendly and explained each meal very well, which made it more interesting.

I had made a reservation for 5pm and we got seated as soon as we got there. We were 2 adults with 2 kids (6 and 2). They were so welcoming to our kids and just so friendly overall. The food was amazing- the beef melted in your mouth and they do all the cooking for you so it was awesome! We also tried their sours (yuzu, peach, and lemon) and their hot Kyoto sake and they were all delicious! Highly recommended! Our server was Ryuma. My 2 year old kept dropping her utensils and they kept bringing her a new one without being annoyed!

First time visiting this Sukiyaki restaurant last night, we selected the signature set with excellent beef!! The portion is sufficient too. Very good to explain the food ingredients and cooking step by step. We are celebrating my husband’s birthday without telling them and they printed out a photo for us which is out of our surprise 😆 We will come back again 😋
