I would like to share some observations from my recent experience at this yoga studio, hoping to provide constructive feedback.
While the main studio is clean, the lounging area has carpets that could benefit from more frequent cleaning. Since many guests walk barefoot, maintaining a hygienic space is important.
Additionally, during classes, the high number of participants can create a very hot and sweaty atmosphere. Improving ventilation and ensuring comfort would enhance the experience for everyone.
Lastly, I would like to address my experience in the recent class with instructor Mark Herron, who is also one of the owners. I found the instruction style to be too intense; the speed and volume of the instructions made it impossible to follow along. For many, including myself, the class felt less about introspection and more about keeping up with the pace rather than fostering a safe atmosphere. I suggest that a more calm and measured approach could create a more welcoming environment for practitioners at all levels.
I ultimately did not feel safe with the owner's presence and energy in the room. Therefore, I have decided not to return to the studio.

Sukha is a magical place. It has become my second home. A place of refuge, restoration and community. I moved to Austin in February of 2023. I've been attending Sukha regularly for the past year. I've fallen in love with this studio. It has become a vital part of my daily schedule. I have my 200 CYT certification. If I am gonna teach yoga, it wouldn't be anywhere but at Sukha.
I've tried a bunch of yoga studios throughout Austin - YTX., Black Swan, Practice Yoga, Core power, and Flow Westgate. Austin has an incredibly diverse yoga scene. All flavors of yoga, at all times of the day. What makes Sukha stand out from the rest is the loving community and soulful yoga that is taught at Sukha. Sukha is a Bhakti style studio. Essentially it's a style of yoga that leans into the spirituality, presence, breath work and foundation principles of yoga tradition. Sukha was a bit of a transition from the Power Vinyasa/Rocket Yoga studio i came from in Arlington VA (Mind the Mat studio). But I quickly adapted to the more spiritual and soulful style of classes and teachers offered at Sukha.
If you are looking to connect with yourself, with others, and are looking for a yoga home, come visit us at Sukha Yoga. Mark and Erinn, studio owners are opening a new location this Friday Jan 5th in Tarrytown. So the Sukha magic is spreading to the suburbs of Austin.

This is a beautiful and welcoming studio for yoga practitioners of ALL Levels. The teachers do a great job tailoring their practices to challenge everyone while still creating enjoyable classes. The owners Mark and Erinn are also wonderful people who involve themselves with community at Sukha and beyond. Lots of love for this place!

Hands down one of the best studios I’ve ever been to! The friendly, warm, and welcoming community is powered by the owners, Erinn and Mark, who are superb teachers themselves.
The studio also has an adorable coffee shop with snacks, plus ample hang space where you’ll find people reading, working, eating, and laughing.
Needless to say, I’m a fan! It only took me attending one class before I decided to join as a member! :)

The best yoga studio in Austin 🤍 this place is truly a breath of fresh air & always feels like coming home. The Lamar location has the cutest lobby and cozy meditation room + maha coffee is delicious. The Tarrytown location has incredible infrared (and non-heated) classes. Mark & Erinn have created the most beautiful, welcoming space & I feel lucky to practice here regularly.

The caliber and groundedness of all the teachers and humans this place attracts. Its a community gem in Austin!
Loved Jordan Medinas Glow + restorative flow today, the perfect intro flow if you're wondering the best intro class for yoga. I loved the sequence of waves and connection to the breath at the foundation of this Yoga practice.
Kerby and Evans Katonah yoga classes are amazing to awaken your body in ways you'd only dream of. Great for newbs too.
Andrews meditation classes, i go to religiously and can't recommend enough!
Can't mention Sukha without mentioning their founders, Erinn and Mark!
They both have a glowing, sincere, deep presence. Goingn beyond just a workout, they are stewards of weaving in yogic practices of breath and reaching what was previously unattainable spiritually.

My wife and I just had an amazing experience at Sukha with Erin! We scheduled a private couples session for our anniversary. Neither of us had done yoga before but knew we wanted to do something together that was fun, but also a way to connect. The space is so welcoming and peaceful. The experience was equal parts emotionally, mentally and physically satisfying. We both agreed that we felt the experience left us feeling happy, energized and thankful what we have together. What a wonderful experience! Thank you Erin and Sukha!
