"A Family-Friendly Badi on Lake Zurich One of Zurich’s largest badis, Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen attracts families with its stunning non-swimmer’s pool (accessed via a wooden footbridge), meandering 62-meter water slide, multi-level jumping platform, and all sorts of activities from outdoor table tennis to volleyball on its sprawling lakeside lawn."

Of course the Zurich lakeside was busy on a Sunday on which we had nice warm weather. Even though there were 1,637 other visitors at the Badi when I entered (according to the display next to the cashier), I nevertheless managed to find a semi-quiet, shady spot where I could relax and listen to my audiobook in relative peace. I found it very refreshing to be able to dip my toes into the lake to cool down a bit.

Great place to swim. A little cafe with decent food and drink

Swimming in the lake was a great experience. Besides swimming, there are good possibilities to do other sports such as chess and table tennis. The quality of showers both outside and inside is excellent. It is clean and orderly everywhere. Beautiful flowers, plants, birds, sculptures as well as well designed and well kept lawns contribute to making this space a pearl. Thank you very much.

Incredibly low service quality, even for Zurich standards -- staff is often more concerned about discussing about their weekend plans than providing service to the customer. You can thus easily happen to wait 10 minutes for a cup of coffee while only 3 people are in line.. Highly recommended to buy your food and beverages beforehand.

Okay place. 6 CHF for my daughter in a wheelchair. Companion was free. I was 8 CHF. Easy to get in and out of the water. Staff were friendly. We went early and there were a few people about but not many.

Very lovely relaxing place. We have been there in winter, I would love to come back there in summer to swim in the lake.

Breathtaking summer spot for sun bathing, swimming, relaxing, seeing/being seen, and families. There seem to be unofficial sections for each group. There are clean washrooms, showers, lockers and changing facilities unlike most urban beaches. With SwF coins you can borrow a locker or you can bring your own lock. You can buy food onsite or bring your own, there are even two fully equipped wood burning BBQ grills to cook your own food. I walked through the entire garden park and this site is my first choice and worth the entrance fee. People bring their own beach umbrellas, towels, floaty toys etc. There are floating swim rafts and a buoy perimeter for those wanting to swim further. If you're a smoker, grab a provided butt can as ashing on the grass is frowned upon. This was my favourite Zurich experience and the view of the snow capped mountains while you swim is certainly rare. Gem.
