The studio apartment we stayed in was perfect for the two of us. I cannot fault it. It was so modern and stylish. The bed were comfy and the pillows were unbelievable, we wanted to take them home. The staff are so lovely and helpful and nothing ever seemed too much for them!!! The apartment is a 10/15 minute walk from all the restaurants and bars. If you don't fancy walking the bus is just across the river and comes every 6 minutes!! The only thing we would of liked it the option of a cooked breakfast as we wanted to get up and have breakfast before setting off for the day but we couldn't do this. However there is no negatives, I would 100% recommend staying here if you're visiting Amsterdam, it's ideal, a great place and a great location not far from the centre but based on a really quiet street. ||Thank you Stout & Co for making the weekend so amazing and thanks for the balloons for my boyfriends birthday.

Visited here with my boyfriend for three days in May and had the best three days ever! ||Arriving at the hotel was easy, just a 20 Minute walk from Central Station, the hotel is located in a quiet suburban area. We were welcomed by the staff and shown around the building, including how to use the secure entry to the building. ||The rooms are modern, spacious and minimalist, concrete floors, brass rainfall shower and metal wardrobes. I took photos of all the interiors as it was to die for. The beds were very comfy and Aesop toiletries were included which was a lovely surprise. Slippers and a safe also included in the room as well as a Nespresso coffee maker. There was a fridge, kettle and cutlery also should you wish to bring your own food back to the room. ||We did not have breakfast at the hotel, Bakers & Roasters is a short walk away and do a lovely breakfast. You are also around a 20 Minute walk from the central areas of Amsterdam so you are never too far away from a meal. The bar on the corner of the road (apologies I cannot remember the name) next to Bakers & Roasters was also a lovely spot next to the canal to sit with a glass of La Chouffe beer in the sun. ||Artis Zoo is a 10 Minute walk away and is well worth a visit -beautiful surroundings and well kept animals. We also visited the Heineken Experience and Moco Museum for the Banksy exhibition. A few bars worth trying are Hannekes Boom next to the canal near Nemo science museum and also Cafe Hoppe in the centre. Brouwerij 't IJ is a short walk away next to a windmill - the five beer taster is a must!||This hotel is a real gem and we will be recommending it to everyone we know. We hope to see you again soon. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

We knew we had stumbled upon an absolute gem from the second we stepped in the door. The clean, modern, tasteful decor (designed by the owners) was as comfortable as it was pleasing to the eye. Every detail has been considered, right down to the Aesop products ! Communication during the booking process was quick and efficient and during our stay we were very well taken care of. We spent our 3 days touring Amsterdam from this central but quiet location and would highly recommend it to others.

I can not fault these guys, the accommodation was fantastic. Located not far from the zoo and a 30 minute walk, taking it easy, from the train station, the street is quiet and residential with some nice cafes to the south and the no. 10 tram to the north which will take you up towards the Rijksmuseum etc.||The accommodation is minimal in style, which makes it easy to relax and feel at home. I will return and have told friends about it.||And if you need ideas of places to go or eat, the staff are very helpful!

I just came upon my receipt from our stay last year and had to write. My boyfriend had left his car key behind in the room...it had fallen behind the bedside table I believe, and not only did they take the time to find it but they also mailed it to me in Italy at no charge! The people I dealt with there were so nice and helpful. I spend a lot of time in hotels and I found Stout & Co to be exceptional. Perfectly spotlessly clean. And I’m a lunatic about that so that comment really means something. Stylish, comfortable, great water pressure, quiet, bright and sunny with that wonderful little rooftop patio. I will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Stout & Co ! Not only it is perfectly located, but the facilities are very comfortable and the aesthetics are more than on point. It is private, isolated from noise and yet very central, you have access to a lovely terrasse and the AESOP products are a big PLUS. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Sonjia for the warmest welcome and most delicious breakfast. We truly had the best time and can't wait to be back.

Stout&Co is a fabulous place to stay. Everything just adds up.
It is located very close to the historic city centre (15 min walk), but at the same time in a wonderful and very quiet neighborhood, with lots of hip bars, amazing restaurants and relaxed parks at its doorstep.
We were welcomed by Sonja. She was extremely friendly and immediately handed over a map of Amsterdam with nice tips and hidden gems. She was always available for questions or sudden changes in the breakfast (I need to eat glutenfree, which was really well taken care of).
The rooms, you could actually call them studios, are modern, very well designed and really comfortable. WiFi is fast and reliable, beds are extremely comfy, and there’s a soft and hard pillow you can choose of.
When you step outside your room you enter a fantastic roof terrace, which is especially nice when the evenings are getting warmer and the plants are flowering. It’s the ideal place to chill, grab a glass of wine and talk about the things you saw and visited that day.
The breakfast is outstanding. A wide range of fresh products is served and they’re all delicious. No further explanation needed!
In Amsterdam-Oost you won’t see too much tourists, but its really worth spending a day or two (the Hortus, Oosterpark, Artis, Troopenmuseum, Dappermarkt…). To end with; take a 5 minute walk from Stout&Co to the square of the Artis Zoo, have a bite at the Plantage, and see the flamingo’s afterwards at the end of the square. Enjoy!
