Storchen

This hotel was an absolute gem. It was in a great location and the staff were wonderful. We stayed for four nights and wished we would have been able to extend. The view from our room was top notch and the attention to the little details set this place apart. Daily we had fresh fruit in room as well water and chocolates during turn down. I would highly recommend.

My mom and I did a mother-daughter trip over New Years. The hotel was right on the River Limmat and in a very desirable location. We could see the famous Grossmumster Church from our window. The service and concierge team was great. The area surrounding the hotel is darling!

I have been a regular customer at this establishment for some time, often coming to enjoy a coffee and appreciate the view. Unfortunately, this experience was the most shocking and disrespectful encounter I’ve ever had here—or anywhere, for that matter. The waiter’s behavior was appalling from the start: rude, inattentive, and utterly devoid of professionalism. The service was horrendous—so much so that I felt uncomfortable even being there. To make matters worse, after providing such disgraceful service, the waiter had the audacity to confront me about not leaving a tip, demanding to know why I left nothing! This level of entitlement and arrogance is beyond comprehension. And as if that wasn’t enough, the ultimate insult came when the waiter threw the receipt at me instead of handing it over like a decent human being. Such unprofessionalism and outright disrespect should never be tolerated in any establishment, let alone one that relies on customer loyalty. This experience has completely soured my opinion of this place. If this is how regular patrons are treated, I dread to think how others might be handled. Management should seriously reconsider who they allow to represent their business. Until there’s a drastic improvement, I will not be returning—and I’ll be warning others to avoid this place entirely. 4/1/2024 at 3.41pm

We decided to have a meal outside the hotel due to the inviting atmosphere, and knew to expect elevated prices (even for Switzerland) which we were more than happy to pay. What we did not expect was to be shamed by our server about what we were and were not willing to tip. Please advise your staff that it is not their business to shame their guests, if they do not receive a tip in their favour. They do not know anyone's full circumstances. Moreover, they are not entitled to determine the gratuity - it is at the discretion of the customer, which is the whole point of a tip. It looks like other reviews have said the same thing, I just wish I had seen these before we chose to spend so much money there, as it completely ruined our entire day.

We were walking by and saw nice sitting area outside for a glue wine with great view and ended up having lunch inside. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Food was very delightful and artsy.

Had a great stay at Storchen Zürich! The rooms were spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly, and everything went smoothly. Plus, the location is excellent. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable experience in Zürich!

The Storchen is in the perfect location. The staff are all professional, customer service focused, and quick to help with anything you need. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast buffet was excellent, the bar was great with a fun yet relaxing vibe. The cigar bar upstairs is great and Donato provided great service.

Truly a 5 star Hotel. We have stayed here 3 times already and would always come to this hotel when visiting Zurich. Amazing lake views, rooms are clean, bathroom is clean. Our room was ready before the check in time and we were welcomed with a drink from the bar. The breakfast is one of my absolute favorites I've had at a hotel. A good variety of food and also a la carte. waffles, eggs benedict.. anything you want. Also, they give you a stuffed animal Storchen to take with you! I have 3 so far now :)
