"Discover the bygone ways of processing seafood at this terrific industrial museum, a national historic site in Canada’s largest commercial fishing port. Nicknamed the “Monster Cannery,” the 1894 building used to be the biggest of its kind, churning out 2.5 million tins a year at its peak. After manual canning gave way to high-speed machinery, the company began shipping salmon and tinned herring to Allied soldiers in World War II. It also dealt in fish roe—prized by the Japanese—before closing in 1979. Today, it offers interactive exhibits about the West Coast fishing industry, once a unifying force for Asian, European, and First Nations workers."

Fantastically friendly employees, excellent variety of beverages from hard liquors, canned cocktails, beers, wines and seltzers, and conveniently location (especially for hotel guests upstairs!) in the heart of Steveston. Limited selection of snacks and non-alcoholic bevs as well. If there's a party in this storyb(r)ook port town, it probably started here!

If you are looking for a place to sleep, this hotel is not for you. There is the bar next door that runs so late and you will hear everything from your room just like you are in that bar. It is cheaper than others but I would have paid more if only I khew it was this bad. The building is old and funky. After 11 pm, no one will be there for you, according to my experience. I was looking for a night stay just to catch the ferry to Victoria in the morning, so we found this place. We arrived at 11:30 pm, the front door was locked. I saw two people were sitting inside, we pressed the call box nothing happened, so we made a phone call, they picked up and told us to go get the keys at the bar next door. We got our keys, room number 12, I made a mistake by did not pay attention on details so it was a bathroom shared. The room was old, nothing worth $101 USD but it was ok, it was Saturday night in the middle of summer. Until bedtime, I found out it was a nightmare because the bar was so loud just like we slept in the middle it.

Great staff, and very knowledgeable. Talked to Wesley who is a gem! Very hyped that they have my favourite vodka iced tea, Hard-t.✨

Unfriendly, like very much. Really rude

Friendly staff, lots of local beers, and convenient location. Only complaint is price, which feels higher than many other private liquor stores.

Bad service, one of the staff said she did not know much about alcohol. If the staff does not know, then who knows? It doesn’t make sense

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving this place a middle of the road review is because of the prices. I can't get over how much this province is taxed on liquor, it's so ridiculous and disrespectful. The staff was awesome super helpful with great personalities. Pretty knowledgeable for what they carry in store, as well as pretty accommodating. If you're in a festive mood and you really need a drink I'd got check it out because if you think it's wild in the store you should see the prices in the restaurants in the area.
