Amazing experience! Perfect for families and created some unforgettable memories. Although we’ve visited NYC before, we never planned ahead enough to visit the Statue of Liberty. The Crown Tour requires advance planning – we booked our tickets two months ahead to ensure everything went smoothly, and it was worth every penny! Be ready to climb between 200-500 stairs. We skipped the pedestal elevator and ended up walking the whole way. The spiral staircase leading to the crown is a real workout, so make sure to hydrate beforehand, especially since summer temperatures can get intense inside the statue. While the food is on the pricier side, it’s still good. The souvenirs and swag are also fantastic. We’d definitely do it again, but maybe in cooler weather next time!

Better to buy tickets way ahead of time and arrive early on the day, as there are security checkpoints to get through. On your way to the island and back, there’s stunning view of NYC downtown and financial district. The ferry ride in itself is an amusing experience. Once you reach the island, there’s the statue of course, there’s a museum, gift shop and a food court. In recent years due to construction the island didn’t have the best appearance, but still the statue standing tall, beaming the hope and dream of America, is so powerful. There are tickets available to get to the top of the pedestal. The gift shop has lots of and lots of Statue of Liberty souvenirs. Some are also NY NJ and USA based. The food court burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches are average, don’t expect much from them. Lots of birds fly around and try to take your food. There poops are all around the outdoor dining area. The only downside of this whole place.

The island is well kept and fairly small, but there is enough to see and do for at least a couple hours. We’ve been here numerous times, and this time my partner, his aunt and I didn’t arrange any special tickets to the pedestal or crown. The surroundings around Lady Liberty offered some amazing photos with views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City. The museum offered a deep dive into the statue’s significance and the incredible craftsmanship that went into its creation. The exhibits were engaging and educational, highlighting the statue’s role as a symbol of democracy. It offered a lot of 1:1 reproductions that one can touch and interact with that truly give you a feeling of the scale of the statue. The digital wall was fun to do by taking your photo and watching as it appeared on the giant digital wall called Being Liberty. The overall experience was inspiring and educational. A must-see for anyone visiting New York City, which we can recommend.

Parking at New Jersey Liberty State Park was wide open and only cost $7. Ferry ride was crowded on the top deck but practically empty at the bottom deck. View was exhilarating throughout the ride. Liberty island was crowded with people snapping pictures and selfies so have to be patient. They had a gift shop and food at the Crown concessions offering fast food with tables outside. Skip the food, too many other options than fast food! A great experience, must visit when experiencing NYC.

What a fun family outing! I was pleased to learn that you can still visit the top of her crown and see out (I didn't this time, but to my understanding you just make a reservation online for $35)! For any visitors wanting to go up to the pedestal or crown you MUST make a reservation online, they don't take walk ups. I visited just the island by purchasing a ticket through the GoCity Tour and it was very easy! We also checked out the museum while there and that was so awesome to learn abo it the statue's history!

We viewed the Statue of Liberty by boat from the water using our Klook pass, well worth it. We had great views from the Best of NYC tour. Highly recommend and would return.

I loved coming to see Lady liberty! The freaking Statue of Liberty! I'm a big sightseeing person and this was fun and iconic. It always has been every time I came when visiting my fav city NYC! I've taken the boat from Jersey and battery park, both were pleasant methods of getting there and I will do it all over again! Overall its always a great experience, its an iconic landmark and makes your trip to NYC so much fun!

The museum in the base was probably the best part. The museum went over the architects involved, historical context, relationships... very interesting. There are FREE 'Self-Guided-Tour' digital devices you can pickup if you go straight when leaving the pier. I didn't feel like it added to the experience; recording number signs are sparse and very small... maybe I walked past a bunch of them. On the other hand, there are plenty of signs with information about what is visible around you. Basically, if you miss the 'self -guided-tour' booth, or they're out of devices to give out, you'll still have an amazing experience. The island is beautiful to walk around with mature shade trees giving some relief from the sun. Vendors offer snacks, cold drinks and slushees. There is a detached museum we did not go into. Overall great experience on the bay, and a great learning experience. Your trip also includes a stop at Elis Island if want to expand your experience... unfortunately we were pressed for time and only had a few hours to take in the Statue of Liberty. Five stars for History!

Absolutely amazing! Came here on the 4th of July!! Regular tickets get you onto the island. You can upgrade to visit the Pedestal You can extra upgrade to gain access to the Crown!!! The SoL is stunning, an iconic gift from France that boldly and elegantly displays what we hold dear: freedom through representative and cooperative democracy. This nation has many challenges and obstacles but we who are many, are one.

Wow!! I had not been to this park in over 50 years!!! It is really nice. We loved the museum, it's very nicely done and included with the ticket. The ferry ride over was great, lots of people but very well organized. The ticket also includes the immigration museum at Ellis Island. It's a great deal for the price.

This is an iconic American landmark that must be visited while you're in New York. I booked the ferry & crown tickets about a month in advance (although we visited in winter / January). On the day, we went an hour earlier than our reserved time at Battery park. We had to go to the Castle Clinton booth to get our hand band for the crown tour before lining up to enter the ferry. The line for the security check was long but moved quickly. The ferry operates pretty frequently so we didn't have to wait long. As soon as we landed, we walked toward the entrance of the statue. We had to put our small bags in the locker before the 2nd security check. I really recommended to put anything big in the locker as the steps to the crown was very tight, so it's better to just have your phone on hand. There were 2 routes to go to the pedestal: stairs or elevator. We opted for the stairs and it was quite a good workout. The wind outside the pedestal was quite strong. After resting a while, we continued our tour to the crown. The small high steps gave me some difficulties. Luckily, there were several small landing for me to take a break. I was afraid for the tight steps for my kid but it was exciting for him and he didn't complain a bit. We took elevator down since my feet was killing me. There is a small museum at the base describing the statue origin. From the area around the statue, we took amazing picture with Manhattan in the background. We had to line up a bit for the ferry ride to the Ellis island (included with the ticket) and it was super crowded. Overall, we very much enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty.

Great visit to the Statue of Liberty. Access to the Island only available via Liberty Cruises from ports at Battery Park City in Manhattan, or Jersey City in New Jersey. Having visited from both ports, the Battery Park City port is much more busier. Lines to get through security can be upwards of an hour there due to the crowds. The Jersey City port has much less crowds and you can make it through security in about 5-10 minutes on most days. Adult fare, which includes access to both Liberty Island (Statue of Liberty) and Ellis Island (Ellis Island Museum), is about $32. The fare is the same for general admission, pedestal access and crown access...it just depends on which ticket you want and what is available for the day you want to visit. Once you arrive to Liberty Island, there is the cafe which sells a variety of items including pizza ($14), chicken fingers ($11), fries ($6) and burgers ($12). There are also a few pre-made sandwiches, candies ($5), chips, cookies and beverages ($4) for purchase. Outside, there is a smaller stand that sells ice cream ($6) (soft serve vanilla and chocolate) and lemonade ($6). There are lots of tables and seating in this outdoor area. There is the small gift shop further up. The museum is to the left as you want through the main plaza area. Lots of interesting exhibits in there...including the original torch. There is an open area on the second floor which offers some great views of the plaza and statue. Those who have pedestal or crown tickets can make their way toward the statue base. There are lockers there ($ 0.25) where you can store your bags and other items. You can also park your strollers there. Be sure to look at their website to see the restricted items before going as you will have to go through a TSA-style screening before accessing the statue. After passing through security, you end up in the main lobby where you can view a few museum-style exhibits on the second floor, proceed to the elevator to go up to the pedestal, or take the 192-step walk up to the pedestal. The views at the pedestal are great although the outdoor space there is very tight. From there, you can continue onto the 162-step walk to the crown if you have those tickets. There is no elevator service to the crown. On the way back you can stop off at some larger areas below the pedestal which offer some great views. The space surrounding the statue offers some amazing views of the statue, New Jersey and Downtown Manhattan. Overall we had a great visit to the Statue of Liberty. For for the modest price for ferry rides and access to both islands, I think this is a must for most. You can easily fill up an entire (if not most of a) day.

It's impressive seeing the SOL up close. It's also impressive how they move people to, on, and off the island so effectively all day long. Go with very comfortable walking shoes and plan on 3-4 hours easily.

We got passes to the pedestal and the view from Manhattan is phenomenal. It's hard to imagine being new to the US and pulling up to Ellis Island with the statue in the horizon.

I have visited the statue twice. It is a must-see when in NYC. This time, we bought the crown ticket, which is totally worth it. The views are amazing fro that high up. It requires some walking up a spiral staircase, just be aware. No one can go to the torch as it has been closed since the 1910's. Yes, the 1910's! You have to take a ferry from Battery Park to get to the island. There are two museums, along with a gift shop and a place to get some food. The island is fairly small, but there is enough to see and do for at least a couple hours, if you take your time. Whether you are at the crown or the base, you will have beautiful views of the NYC skyline. The museums give you tons of history behind the statue, its conception and more. One of the museums even has the original torch inside. The entire island is well-kept. I thought coming here was so interesting as a gamer, because I went "digitally" when I played GTA IV for so many years. Plus, I have seen it in so many films. It's insanely cool to see it up close and in person. It is a must-see attraction in the city.

The Crown itself has a limited capacity and only a certain number of visitors are allowed at a time (around 10-15 individuals). It is highly advised that you book your tickets in advance if you are planning on seeing the statue on your trip to Manhattan. I love going up to the pedestal or the crown and looking at the New York City skyline and the ships in the harbor. The Statue of Liberty is located on a small island in the New York Harbor called Liberty Island. Liberty Island was once known as Bedloe's Island and can only be accessed by ferry. The island itself is federally owned and is pretty small. It probably takes about 30 minutes to walk around the whole island. They recently added the Statue of Liberty Museum in 2019 to the island. This museum was much needed and they did a nice job of putting it together. There are many artifacts and exhibits inside the museum that are worth checking out. Both Liberty Island and Ellis Island make up the Statue of Liberty National Monument that was signed by FDR in 1937. The ferry takes you to both islands from either Battery Park at the southern tip of New York City or from New Jersey. There is a lot of security involved with boarding the ferries, so be prepared to wait in a line. On Liberty Island are gift shops, snack shops and coin-operated binoculars for viewing the New York Harbor. There are also snacks that you can purchase on the ferry ride over. You cannot take bags into the Statue of Liberty. But they do have affordable lockers near the pedestal with a security guard on hand. I have vague memories of my parents watching a 1983 TV special of Illusionist David Copperfield making the statue "disappear" in front of a live audience. There is a miniature version of it at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Today The Statue of Liberty remains a symbol of freedom and everyone should visit it at least once in their lifetime.

Such a cool experience and educational. Took the ferry to the island and did the free audio tour to learn about each part of the island and the museum. Walked around the island and went into the museum which is included with your ticket. Decided not to go into the statue because of the many flights of stairs to go up. Spent a good two hours on the island listening to each section of the museum and walking on the outside and taking pictures. Got a real fresh lemonade to stay refreshed which was delicious. Even just being on the island without going into the statue was a nice experience.

What an unforgettable experience! From the surreal visit to the Statue of Liberty to soaking in its historic significance, my coworker and I were in awe. Despite the crowds, we thoroughly enjoyed snapping photos and soaking up the atmosphere. The museum, restaurant, and gift shop were delightful additions. For first-time New York visitors, this is a must-see spot! It's worth every penny.

If you have a free half day in NYC, I highly recommend visiting this national monument! At $25 per person (includes ferry ticket, admission to both Liberty island and Ellis Island) via Statue City Cruises, it's also a highly affordable thing to do! Definitely buy tickets online ahead of time. We caught the ferry from the Battery on Manhattan, and it took about 40 mins to get onto the ferry itself due to the security line. Then we were on our way! It was a short 15 min ride to Liberty Island. We had tickets with pedestal access, which had amazing views of the NYC skyline. We also went to the neighboring Ellis Island, which had a really nice museum taking you through the timeline of immigration in the US and had a cool walkthrough exhibit of what immigrants encountered upon arriving. I learned a ton!

My friend insisted we go on this tour. Even though everyone online said it was a waste of time. The internet said The entire thing would take four hours. She didn't believe me because she read online It would only take 30 minutes. But truly this experience took four hours. We bought our tickets in advance and we waited an hour and a half to get on the ferry. There were multiple moms pushing and shoving in line; and I witness multiple arguments between moms. My friend and I also got into an argument because of how much I hated this experience. The food on the island was very overpriced. Save yourself the hassle. Book a ferry that just drives by the statue. I had suggested to my friend a dinner cruise. Then you could eat a meal while looking at the statue. None of those ideas appealed to her.

We met at castle Clinton and found our tour guide; we took a ferry over and then got to Liberty island. I enjoyed that our guide gave us a lot of g History and then allowed us to walk around. Over all island is well maintained, clean, and offers a museum, 2 gift shops as well as the statue itself. As a second generation American it held a deeper meaning for me as well. If you have the chance to check it out, I think you should!

This feels silly to write a review about such an iconic monument, but here we are! Just wanted to make sure everyone who's on the fence about visiting know that it's definitely worth the effort and relatively low cost. I have been in summer and winter, and both have their pros and cons. Summer is much better for photo taking due to the lesser amount of fog and snow, but it's also much more crowded in summer so we only went up to the crown in winter. The interior, going up to the crown, has a very winding staircase that is quite a long trek up, so it definitely helps to be comfortable with tight spaces, heights, and in moderate-to-good shape for walking a lot on a steep incline One you're at the top in the crown, there are such beautiful sights up there, from the pier of Liberty Island to the neat Manhattan views in the distance. Summer is when we got our good views of the exterior, seeing the statue in all her glory when it wasn't so foggy or cold. Standing next to her pedestal and looking up makes you feel so small! There are super cool things to see inside too, like the replica of her torch, the bronze recreation of her face how it looked before the oxidation, and the sonnet inscription by Emma Lazarus ("Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor...") that was originally at the pedestal of the statue. So whether you go in winter or summer, to the base or all the way up to the crown, it's definitely worth a visit!

I remember coming to the Statue of Liberty as a kid and being too scared to look out the window once I climbed the spiral stairs. Apparently my kids are braver than me since they had no problem climbing the stairs and looking out. I do understand why someone who is afraid of heights would be nervous though - I could feel the ground shaking as we stood in the crown. Apparently the metal is designed to be flexible and move with the wind! If you go, DO go first thing in the morning. I know it sucks to wake up early but the lines just grew exponentially as the day went on. Even with our 9am crown reservation, we still didn't get back on the ferry departing the Statue of Liberty until 12pm and felt rushed at Ellis Island because we were getting hungry. As for the question - is it worth my limited time to lose an entire day at the Statue of Liberty? I thought it was worth it because the Statue of Liberty is so iconic and historical.

Wow book this immediately!! You will not be disappointed! I have seen the Statue a few times from the Staten Island Ferry, but this felt so much more like a personal experience and is such a reasonable price for visiting it! We bought tickets to go up to the pedestal which we thought was SUCH a cool experience and highly recommend if you go here! We got the pedestal tickets a few days before we went, but if you want the crown it seems you have to book a month or two in advance! (Also, there is an elevator to the pedestal but only stairs for the crown so just be prepared!) The boat will come about every 20 minutes to and from and go to the right side for the best views of the statue! Once there, we also loved how we could explore the island and statue on our own time! The museum was very cool to explore and we loved learning more about the history. The grounds are beautiful and it's large enough where we didn't feel too crowded and had plenty of great photo opportunities! Overall, highly recommend-don't miss out on this experience when you come to NYC!

Take the ferry to check out the statue, ferry goes by quickly and you can explore as long as you need! Don't forget to walk around and check out the gift shop! A must when you're in nyc!

If you're not giving this lady five stars then go to take a hike, commie! The ferry is run very efficiently. The walk around the island is nice with terrific panoramas of NYC, Jersey, and Brooklyn.

I mean she's Lady Liberty, how can you give anything other than five stars. We did the pedestal trip because the crown was already sold out. Plenty to see and learn about how Lady Liberty came to be. Also plenty of scenic views of greater downtown New York. Fun to see and a definite must if it's your first time in New York. Really wish I could have climbed the steps all the way to the crown.

A Historic Landmark... The Statue of Liberty is pretty easy to get to. From Liberty State Park in Jersey City to here is only about a 15 minute ferry ride. A few different tours are available. Meet at the flagpole and a park ranger is giving out free tours a few times a day. Or an audio tour with highlights from around the island. It was quite a thrill for our small group of 4 coming here. It's been mentioned a few times about making reservations to the crown a few months in advance. We didn't make those reservations this time. Maybe one can also make a trip to the museum. That is located at the foot of Lady Liberty. Of some note, those ferries also stop at Ellis Island. Most important... Enjoy the view. :)

Get a reservation if you want to walk up to the crown. GET A RESERVATION. Or be disappointed. GET IT NOW. Or you WILL be disappointed. Yes, it's a TON of stairs, but if you are in good (decent) shape, you can do it. The view is AMAZING. The rangers at the top can tell you all about it, as can the museum in the base. Visit both. You have to ride the ferry, and they will give you a wrist band. No wrist band, no trip to the crown. Don't lose it. No water on the way up or down, so hydrate before you go.

If you take the ferry you can see the statue from a distance. A great photo op if you have a high powdered camera.

I had previously seen the Statue of Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry and maybe from the plane during a New York-related flight. But our recent boat trip that took us here and Ellis Island was special. We also purchased tickets to see the Crown ahead of time, which added additional perspective to this most impressive statue and symbol of freedom. It was an impressive sight from many angles, and our warm and sunny day certainly added to the experience. But past the description of the Statue of Liberty and our posted pictures, it's the Emma Lazarus poem that still rings true for me as a national credo of which we could always do better. Some folks would call this a curse, of which I disagree. Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

An absolutely iconic stop and a must-do on any trip to NYC. I have wanted to see the Statue of Liberty since I was a kid, so it was so exciting to finally see that dream come true on our trip. To start, plan your trip to the Statue of Liberty as early as you can. We wanted to do the climb into the crown, and it was 100% worth it. The whole experience was incredible to be standing inside the crown and get to look out over the water. You get decent time to just stand and enjoy as well. Lots of steps to climb, so take that into account when booking. However, what I was getting to is that tickets to the Crown are super limited and sell out early. We booked ours over 3 months in advance - so if climbing to the crown is something you want to do, book it early to secure a ticket. Also, they do not allow bags if partaking in the pedestal or the crown, but they do provide lockers - they cost a quarter, so just make sure you bring one with you! I think you even get the quarter back at the end. Taking the ferry over to Liberty Island is such an incredible experience as you see the Statue of Liberty come into view and get closer and closer. You can kind of get a feel for what people felt as they saw the Statue for the first time, and it's so surreal. They also have a few museums and a book store to explore while on Liberty Island as well as many fantastic views even if you don't go into the Crown. Ferries are coming and going, so you can spend as little time or as much time as you'd like exploring Lady Liberty and the island. On the ferry back, you have an option to stop at Ellis Island. I highly recommend you get off an explore. It is such an incredible experience being there as well and well-worth the time spent. We came here in May, so it was hot but the weather was agreeable. I have heard they do have weather restrictions, especially in winter months so I'd look into that before booking. An absolute MUST while visiting New York.

I know it considered a tourist trap but you can't underestimate the beauty and history of the Statue of Liberty. Located on an island close to the main island you need to take a ferry to reach it. For me is just something you need to do at least once.

We had lots of fun visiting liberty of statue today with families! The Statue of Liberty is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in history, politics, art, or simply witnessing an iconic symbol of American values.

So incredibly thankful to have been able to see Lady Liberty! Made reservations online and had to ask directions to find where the line queue was for the ferry. There's a fair amount of security involved, which is to be expected. They expedited it well though and the ferry ride was quick and fun. Walked completely around the island taking photos and taking in the views. This one is not to be missed!

I visited the Statue of Liberty as a small child and then a second time in my adulthood. This is one of those places that every tourist should visit at least once. You should set aside at least half of day for it. The statue is located on a small island off the southern tip of Manhattan and is only accessible via ferry. Once you get off the ferry, what you'll see depends on your ticket. There is a general ticket for just exploring and walking around the island where the statue is. There are also two options to go inside the statue. A Pedestal ticket lets you go inside the base. And then a Crown ticket lets you go up into the crown. Because it is so narrow inside and space is limited, you'll have to book a Crown ticket months in advance.

The crown tickets sell out fast, if you plan to go up, buy it early. There is elevator to take you up to pedestal but to crown, you have to walk up. There are lots of steps, the number of the steps are marked clearly on the side of the wall. For elders, most of them are not able to walk up to the pedestal or the crown.

This is probably the best deal in all of NYC! We went online a few weeks before and were able to get pedestal tickets. The crown was filled up and I suggest you get those months in advance if you want them. We looked again the day of and all that was left were GA tickets, which means you get to go on the grounds, but not up to either the pedestal or the crown. We came an hour after our prescribed time and it was no issue, they did not even look at the tickets. The boat ride is great and I receommend sitting on the right side to get the best view of the statue. The grounds itself has a great interactive museum, but going to the pedestal was a treat, being insdie. The crown would have even been better I'm sure. It comes with a free audio guide and is very detailed, walking you around the island. From there, we took the ferry to Ellis Island, and had about an hour there since it was getting late, but could have spent way more time! It is so interesting and the space is well designed. It is about a 15 minute boat ride each so 45 minutes total on a boat the the boat runs in circles between 3 stops and comes about every 20 minutes. We spent most of the day here and it was great!

NOTE "Book your tickets in well advance to go pedestal/crown to see the green lady of freedom...!!" - It fascinates me... starting from the boat ride till back to the den... but you have to book a ticket well in advance to be there at the pedestal or even 4 months before to go to the crown... Tickets are almost the same if you go to the island/pedestal. The ferry goes from Battery Park ( NYC) and Liberty State Park (from Jersey City) and you can interchange at the island. The boat halts at Ellis Island (the entry point of slaves into the USA in 1700s-1800s) and there you can see the museum of how slaves were treated, how they came to the USA, and all. At Liberty Island, you can get your certificate of 'when you visited here'. When you go to the pedestal, you must check the museum. here they have beautifully explained how statues come to the USA in pieces, how it is constructed, it's specifications. And everything... that is worth a watch...

I'm here again at the end of November. It is pretty cold going to Statue of Liberty. The crown ticket was sold out the day I went even I bought ticket ahead, but it wasn't fast enough. Super packed on a boat to go and back. The trick is when you get to each island, take a picture of the time boat take off and you can enjoy and come back with no long waiting.

This is such a great experience. First I'd recommend to get the pedestal and or crown add on. You have to book both in advance, I was told the crown is a month in advance at least. There was a sign that says 162 steps you take to the crown once you reach the pedestal, make sure you're able to make the climb. There is an elevator you can take to the pedestal, or you can take the stairs. It will take about 5-10 minutes taking the stairs. I came at 9am and it was very empty when I was able to get the views. The best part is when you're done make sure to walk around the statue to get that iconic photo in front of the statue. If you attempt to go where everyone else is that did not purchase the add on you will be waiting for quite a while for an opportunity where no one else is. The museum is amazing as well, it had a theater that explained the process of it which was a nice educational component. The environment is very well kept and nice to relax. They offered an audio guide as well, I did not use this but saw other people using it. I spent a little over an hour and 15 minutes here.

This is a must-see place when it comes to New York City. You can catch a ferry to reach here either from Battery Park New York or from Jersey City Liberty State Park. If you are visiting just the liberty statue and Ellis Island, I would recommend catching a ferry from Liberty State Park. The parking is easy and you get less crowd from that side. If you plan to do the entire New York, then Battery Park will be a good option. However, the parking rates are very high. The tickets can be purchased ahead of time or at the counter and watch out for a lot of people selling their tickets for a different ferry, don't fall for tricks. One thing to notice is if you are getting to the counter at around 2:00 p.m. then you can see only one island. Once you purchase the tickets, you go to the ferry onboarding, and based on the season, the lines could get longer. The ferry ride as such is wonderful, and you can get close-up views of the statue when you are in the ferry. Liberty Island is well maintained, and you can get nice pictures of the statue, the skyline of New York City, and beautiful views of the water. If you prefer the pedestal or crown access, you have to plan ahead and book the tickets in advance. There is always a park ranger on duty who gives an overview of the island if you are interested in knowing that history. There are restrooms well maintained. There are cafes to grab some quick bites. This is definitely one of the places I have visited more than 10 times, and I still love to go here.

Make sure you allot the wait time and travel time for your trip to Liberty Island. The pedestal tickets were well worth the $25 that included the ferry and entrance to the statue. Tip # 1. If you are mobile, take the stairs! It is so much fast compared to waiting for the elevator that fit 4-7 people for the 6 floor journey. If you want to walk up to the crown, book it 4 months in advance since there are only 15 spots available every hour. There were over 100 spots each hour for the pedestal. It is worth it since you get to enjoy the view without the massive crowd and will get a great vantage point!

She's beauty, she's grace, she's Miss United States. People usually take the Staten Island ferry to see her for free, but I say spend the $30 to go see her close up. She really is awesome.

Beautiful. Enough said. Okay I'm kidding lol This is a must see for anyone visiting New York. I mean how can you not want to see the Statue of Liberty? It's a monument that represents our freedom / breaking free from slavery/ rights. Isn't she a beaut! The Roman Goddess of Freedom. Standing proudly to remind us of freedom and justice for all. Aside from that, she is just huge. The statue is ginormous!! I've seen it in movies and stuff, but that doesn't give it justice. In-person it is a whole different experience.

When we bought our tickets they could have told us that the entrance time to the lower half closes 2 hours ahead of the park closing. They don't let anyone in after 4 pm. This was not told to us

I feel like if you are visiting NY for the first time, visiting is an absolute must for the experience. It is a beautiful sight and taking the boat over allows you to get a beautiful view of the city from the water too. The statue was actually smaller than I thought it would be. It is still massive but I guess I pictured it being larger than it was. I did visit in the winter so it was cooler so I didn't feel like it was too packed. It could be different in the summertime though.
