"Spinoza Café and Restaurant This very attractive sidewalk café in the Jewish district is a popular destination for dining as well as for relaxing during the day. The venue includes both an art gallery and theater, where events take place from September to May, along with a restaurant and coffee house. The food is an unusual and tastebud-tingling hybrid of Hungarian and Mediterranean – and the signature chicken with honey and garlic or the roast goose leg with steamed red cabbage is not to be missed. There’s live music every night from 7 p.m. and a klezmer concert every Friday at 7 p.m. By Kaz Brecher"
Cozy restaurant with delicious Hungarian food.
We came across this restaurant during snowy windy weather and it was a perfect choice. Right from the beginning you can feel family cozy atmosphere with beautiful interior and quiet relaxing piano music.
We had chicken paprikas with egg noodles and goose leg with red cabbage puree. We loved both dishes and the portions were more than decent.
We also tried pickled veggies and Jewish layered cake for dessert. Pickled veggies were quite interesting and went great with the main dishes and the dessert was beautifully served and interesting.
Overall, beautiful experience with very nice staff. We would definitely come back.

We enjoyed lunch at Spinoza after a fantastic tour of the Jewish Quarter. Our server, Zsuzie was outstanding. The food was delicious and we ended up spending quite a long time there. Zsuzie made it so much fun that we went back the next evening to visit her while she was working the bar. She made great drinks for us and truly made our time in Budapest more memorable.

The recommended Tokaji wine and Szomorú galuska were fresh and absolutely delicious.
The live piano music created a lovely and warm atmosphere.
Above all, Tomi was fantastic — from explaining the menu to taking such great care of us, he truly made our visit special.
We would love to come back to try more dishes. Highly recommended!

This restaurant must be one of the best I’ve been in a while. Our server was one of the nicest people I’ve met. He always checked on us and made sure everything was perfect for us.
The food was simply delicious. We had a main course and a dessert which were not only very tasty but also well presented.
The atmosphere in there is also great. There was a piano player that played all evening long and made our experience in this restaurant even better.
I really recommend this restaurant but I would recommend to make a reservation.
