Sofitel Munich Bayerpost

This hotel was the highlight of our hotel stays for our trip. From the second we walked through the door - it was relaxing, welcoming and luxurious. Its location was right next to the train station and a short 15-20 minute walk to the main areas. All of the staff were lovely and helpful. The attached restaurant served the best buffet breakfast I’ve ever had (it was pricey but worth it). The restaurant that served dinner had a more limited menu but it was still enjoyable. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite and it was evident a lot of thought was put into the layout of the room and the small details. The bed was amazing - so comfortable with soft sheets and plenty of pillows. There were also blackout curtains and I heard nothing from the rooms or hallway near by. The bathroom had a heated toilet seat - a luxury I’ll probably never experience again, but a fun indulgence. The pool/gym was also a great feature - and made the hotel experience even better. Overall this was a great hotel and I will be inclined to continue checking out this hotel brand for future travels.

This is the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at in Europe! The breakfast is amazing, the service is awesome, and the rooms are very comfortable. Location is also very convenient - being next to the train station - (but there's no noise or issues related to that)

We loved our stay here over the weekend Oct. 24 to 27. Friendly service. Very convenient location literally out of the Munich train station south exit. While the immediate neighborhood might feel a little East Hollywood / Time Square, it's a gentle 10minute walk to the old town section or a tram right out the front. A welcoming / relaxing ambience contrasts the hustle of the exterior. Rooms were very comfortable, the showers are excellent, appreciated the bidet. The swimming pool is one of the more interesting things about the hotel. Like nothing you've experienced I'm willing to bet but rewarding to the adventurous. There is this random one-of-one Jacuzzi jet in the pool to the right of the fountain that is as strong as a fire hose. Works out the miles and miles of walking. We don't often eat at hotel restaurants but this one was surprisingly good when we were too tired and lazy to walk the final night. We will stay here again, Cheers

This hotel is very picturesque on the outside. The breakfast is fantastic however there was a line to get in! the rooms are more modern then I would of liked in contrast with the exterior of the building but that's Germany for you... the spa is fantastic the pool is a dream however a little on the cold side, they have an infrared sauna and steam room. However the bellman took forever to get our bags and in fact we ended up doing it ourselves... No room upgrade it was not available but we are here right after Christmas. We had to call down for several things including towels as they were not in the room at the beginning. but yes I would stay here again.

We stayed one week in this hotel and we really enjoyed it all special thanks to hotel manager Mr. Umut. He assisted us personally during our stay and made sure everything was brilliant. He also constantly helped us with restaurant bookings and used his contacts to get even reservations where was normally not available. Room service however needs to be improved. Many times what we ordered took long time which we had to ask Mr. Umut for his assistance. He also assisted us with the doctor as we needed. He did follow up and personally arranged all our needs. We would like to thank him for everything.

Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is a stylish and luxurious hotel with a great mix of modern design and historic charm. The location next to the central station is convenient, though the area outside can be busy. Pros: - Elegant design and comfortable, well-equipped rooms - Excellent bar with great drinks and ambiance - Good parking option for those traveling by car - Professional service and high-end amenities Cons: - Expensive (rooms, parking, and drinks) - The surrounding area isn’t the most charming - Service can be slow during busy hours Final Verdict: A high-quality hotel with a premium feel. Pricey but worth it. Would stay again.

Great Hotel, very well located. Just beside the central station and very convinient to get to from Airport. Good size conference room for a big event. Rooms feel too crowded...bed are OK.

Check in experience was outrageous! We got to the hotel around 10 am and asked if we could check in early. The guy at reception told us it’ll be 140€ to check in early, which we declined considering that was almost half the price of the room. He then told us they’ll try and get our room ready but check in starts at 3 pm which is when you’re guaranteed to get your room. We thought maybe they’ll be kind enough to get our room ready earlier than that as we had just got to Munich from a long flight. We left our bags with the reception staff and went out. We came back to the hotel around midday as it was starting to drizzle and we were cold. Our room still wasn’t ready and we ended up sitting around/dozing off in their bar/lounge area till 2.55 pm. They managed to get our room ready conveniently 5 mins before 3 pm. Literally the worst experience we’ve ever had especially for a 4 star hotel. We’ll never be back and do not recommend this hotel to anyone! 1 star for their enormous king sized bed which was actually very comfy, aside from that nothing special about the service or the hotel. Stay with the Hilton and Hyatt hotels, they provide quality service and you’ll have a better experience!!!
