"This small West Village spot has a loyal following and an excellent Greek salad. It also has a great wine list full of Greek wines that start at $12 by the glass, and it’s perfect for a date night in the West Village when you want to share a bunch of things (like zucchini fritters and saganaki) and leave without spending all the money you have earmarked for clothing and shelter. Start with the lamb meatballs, and make a reservation. This place fills up at night." - Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim, Neha Talreja, Carina Finn Koeppicus

"The menus for lunch and dinner here include the standards—there's hummus, tzatziki, boureki, and the like—but this isn't your typical family-run diner. The chef turns out fresh interpretations all day long. At lunch, we tend to gravitate toward their big, fresh salads, and in the evening, we love combining "mezedes"—hearty veggie dishes—with our mains. "

"You’ve probably heard of Kiki’s (and their two-hour waits), and you’re probably aware of the fact that Astoria has an extremely high concentration of excellent Greek restaurants. But the West Village also has one of the best places to eat Greek food in the city, and it’s called Snack Taverna. With its hardwood floors and brick walls covered in black-and-white photos, it looks like your standard, charming West Village spot where you could introduce your significant other to your parents, and it’s a great place for some casual taramasalata and branzino." - Bryan Kim

"Snack Taverna is a lowkey West Village brick-walled joint that serves up an edited, something-for-everyone array of Greek-leaning Mediterranean food. Most of the menu encourages sharing, with a range of spreads and plenty of small plates, divvied up equally into vegetarian and meat or seafood-centric choices, like veal meatballs and sautéed calamari. Lunch offers up more casual souvlaki and sandwiches, and brunch is served on weekends, too." - Alexandra Ilyashov

This was such a cute spot to walk into on a week night. We went around 7pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was at about 20% capacity. The food was good and the vibe was chill and great for talking. I like this spot for girls nights as well as a more intimate date.

I truly feel I found a hidden gem in this restaurant that’s located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in New York. This restaurant is absolutely fabulous! It is also very reasonably priced. Our waitress was ver kind to us. I’m always on the lookout for a restaurant that serves brunch because I love having breakfast and brunch. When I read the menu that it serves oatmeal I absolutely had to come because it’s very hard to find a restaurant that serves great oatmeal. The dish is called Oatmeal “Cappuccino”. I thought it was very creative to put steamed milk on top of the oatmeal. I loved it! The Pullman bread was very delicious served with seasonal jam and apple butter. That’s also something I’ve never seen before as well. I’ve never seen a restaurant serve apple butter. My friend ordered the scrambled eggs with home fries and salad. She loved the vinaigrette on top of the salad. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal very much. I will definitely come back because there are other things I really want to try. I’m so happy I discovered this restaurant. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Google
A quaint Greek eatery in the west village that is great for a casual dinner. The “whole shebang” and lamb triangles are two items I highly recommend from the whole menu. The service can be slow when they are busy, but no rush at all, they are attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Google
We tried Snack Taverna for lunch and enjoyed our visit. There were very few guests dining at the time we visited so we got right in. We started with the hummus which was good. The pita bread is great! I had the shrimp soulvaki which I really liked. I only wish it came with a few extra shrimp. My husband had the Chopped Salad with Chicken and he thought it was great. I tried the diet cola which I wasn’t a fan of as it tasted super sweet. However, it was from a local company so I think it’s great that they support the local community. The server was great which I feel is difficult to come by in NYC. He was attentive and checked on us after our food came out. We would return.

Just had lunch. What a delightful place and a perfect server, John. Very tasty dishes. The dip sampler was sooooo good. Also the lentil soup, portabella skewers and the salad. We were visiting our son who lives nearby. Great place in West village. Look for John. He is a natural

Yelp
Snack Taverna is located in a very cute spot in the West Village. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for a quick, casual, Greek meal. Overall, the food is relatively average. I'm sure you could get something similar at another Greek restaurant that is the same quality. The service is also average. Our server was very busy, but we asked him a question and he seemed very irritated and walked away to take another table's order. We waved him down to ask again, and he was still a little rude. I will say he was the only server, so I get him being overwhelmed. He was nice by the end when the crowd died down. The ambiance is side is also very casual. There are so interesting photographs on the wall and the decor is otherwise very old and minimal. It feels like a cafe. Pork souvlaki: 8/10 This dish was not what I expected at all. The meat was shredded and came in a pita. There were two pita souvlaki's with a random side salad. The pita was soft, and I really enjoyed the flavors of the meat. What did it for me was the honey harissa. I would love to dip anything and everything in that sauce. The portion size was good, and I was contently full by the end of the meal.

Yelp
Delicious Lamb with egg! I will definitely come back again for more choices on the menu! Fresh food and yummy!

Yelp
Stopped in for a glass of wine after dinner with some friends and had a great time! Staff were extremely friendly and had great suggestions for wine! It was very comfortable and cute inside- Christmas lights were up and it felt festive. Great little spot!!

Yelp
I've been to Snack Taverna a few times (before pandemic and after) because my old apartment was very close by. Unfortunately, I would generally not recommend this restaurant, especially with so many more delicious options around the area with far superior service. I've gotten a few different types of dishes from this restaurant (varying across brunch and dinner), but I can't even describe them because they were so forgettable. The food is pretty mediocre and so is the service. Although the staff is friendly enough, the service is really slow, even when it seems like there are only a few other customers. To be fair, there are some positives here. Snack Taverna is a small restaurant with a charming ambiance located on a quiet street in West Village. Also, I've generally not had to wait to get a table. However, to me, the positives don't outweigh the negatives.

Yelp
If you want some tasty Mediterranean fare, and don't want to get in a shouting match while eating, Snack Taverna is the place for you. Lots of vegetarian options. The 3 dip sampler is good. Spinach triangles not bad. Halloumi artichoke salad gets a thumbs up. Asparagus nothing to dream about. They use a glass tumbler for a wine glass. Cos that's how it's done in Greece. Or something.

Yelp
We LOVE Snack Traverna and while there are thousands of restaurants in New York City, we. Will often meet our dearest friends for special occasions at Snack Traverna when we want to impress them with our wisdom at picking a restaurant where everything they serve is absolutely delicious! This evening we invited our friends to celebrate a special birthday. We started with their 4 Dip Sampler ( served with their homemade pita) and their Beet Salad. Then we had their Spinach Triangles and their Zucchini Fritters. We also ordered their phenomenal Haloumi Skewers and their Saganaki! For dessert we shared their delightful chocolate cake and their homemade and awesome rice pudding!

Yelp
Good neighborhood Greek spot with lamb specialties. Tends to be a bit more quiet compared to nearby hotspots.

Fei S.

Yelp
These two dishes were exquisite. The depth and complexity of the flavors, reflect the abundance of spices that went into them. Also the bread was warm. 9/10. 1. lamb triangles (spiced lamb, capers, graviera cheese baked in phyllo) 2. muhammara (red pepper, pomegranate, walnuts, harissa and peasant bread)

Jason G.

Yelp
Lovely lowkey west village spot. Came here for brunch and would return. Short wait and friendly staff. Dip sampler: 5/5 - absolutely delicious and well seasoned range of dips and pita. Braised lamb and eggs: 4/5 - solid stew-style entree. Wish it came with more than a small piece bread to enjoy the sauce with. Greek salad + chicken: 3.5/5 - good Greek salad. the chicken came in strips that were a little plain. Wine: We got two glasses of white, and from the brunch happy hour, and they were a generous pour.

Yelp
TL;DR: Unassuming authentic Greek in a low key, relaxed environment. Bonus: super friendly and hardly ever boring staff. Perfect for a date night where you want to share multiple plates w/o a heinous price tag. We've been here twice and just can't get enough! Our server has been always been amazing--whether charming us with stories about NYC in the 90s or guessing our names for fun--the simple back-and-forth, "There you go no problem here's your check" skips over to repitore with an old friend. Having been in the West Village for a while, this restaurant has mastered its offerings and has a healthy following. Wines start at $8 and the food is similarly cheap. -Dolma: Good! The roasted garlic bed really accentuates the taste. -Skordalia: This is a very garlicky Greek potato dip. It goes great with the complimentary soft pita. -Lamb shank: Oh my god. One of the best dishes that they have. This is upper tier comfort food - deeply rich tomato (very similar to the Creole rougaille) with an orzo bed and tender, peppery shank. This is not a trendy restaurant or a Michelin experience. This is a friendly neighborhood place that does that out does their brand reputation and offers elevated* comfort food. A great place for a casual date or night out. I can't recommend it enough!

Emily E.

Yelp
My friend and I walked by and decided to stop for brunch. Every other restaurant had a line out the door, but we got to sit right away here. Not sure why though, because the food was incredible. We both ordered the braised lamb and ate every last drop. It was delicious! The iced coffee was also great, which is hard to find at restaurants. We had a nice experience and want to come back and try it for dinner!

Bill M.

Yelp
I am currently waiting for a delivery of food that I ordered more than one hour ago, and that is now 37 minutes late. I have called the restaurant twice, 20 minutes apart, and they said both times the delivery would be here "momentarily." Either fix your delivery or don't offer it. But don't do this to your customers (or in my case former customers).

Yelp
I love Greek/Mediterranean food, and this simple, unassuming West Village gem serves it up with the best of them. In fact, the only complaint I can muster is the fact that this place has been here for years and I've never known about it! First off, drink options are strong; I started with a Powers Sour (sour with Powers Irish whiskey) which was spot on, and had a glass of an excellent dry Greek white recommended by the server with dinner.   Started with a dip sampler--hard to skip that at a good Greek restaurant--and the selection was excellent--hummus had a surprisingly spicy kick to it, as did the delicious melitzanosalata.  My friend enjoyed his Greek salad, which was appropriately very traditional, in that it does not have lettuce--just tomatoes, onion, cucumbers and feta.  While I acknowledge this is the true Greek salad, this is not my personal preference, but nevertheless... made me know this was an authentic spot.   The entire menu looks fantastic, but for me the smaller seafood plates where it really where it was at, allowing us to try more of this spot's incredible dishes in one sitting--the shrimp Santorini with ouzo scented tomatoes felt like a small, seafood-based shakshuka--delicious on its own, and perfect for dipping your excess pita in! The Spanish octopus was incredible, as was the sautéed calamari with delicious gigantes beans in a garlic lemon broth.    The location is incredible, just one block off of busy seventh avenue, but you feel as if you are in another world on a quiet sidestreet. The addition of the current outdoor seating areas feels particularly sublime here, unlike on your busier streets.  The service was fantastic (server there close to 20 years and had many good recs), and got to speak with the owner (my friend frequents the place) who was incredibly friendly.  What a gem--again, I left almost annoyed it had been here for so long, but now I just have to make up for lost time and get back soon!

Yelp
You will leave here stuffed!!! We thought we were safe coming here since it is small plates but....EVERYTHING tastes so amazing that we just kept eating and eating because the small plates are not so small and the food is oh so good! We started with "The Whole Shebang Sampler". It comes with plenty of soft fresh pita and enough of all of the dips that we even asked for 2nds of the pita. The sampler included Skordalia, Melitzanosalata, Muhammara, Roasted Garlic, and we asked for the Taramosalata to be in a separate side. This sampler was large enough that it could have been our entire dinner but...we had already ordered more! The 4 of us split a large Taverna Greek Salad which had an entire block of barrel aged Feta on top! There was enough for 6 or 8 to split it! We ordered 2 of the Zucchini Fritters which was a favorite of all of ours. Equally as good though were the additional things we ordered including Spinach Triangles, Veal Meatballs, and Papoutsaki Little Shoes stuffed eggplant. Wow on all of it! We sat indoors at a round table at the front window and I feel as if was the perfect seat in the house even though the rest of the diners chose the outdoor seating. What we loved was the friendliness of the entire staff and the conversation we had with the owner after dinner. We watched as several locals came to pick up to go orders and one other local came and sat at a back table by himself. The owner and staff greeted them all by name - what pleases locals pleases me as a visitor, I know it's got to be good! It was great and I did not know that I loved Greek food as much as I do! I think this Greek restaurant that is set back one street from a bustling West Village is one of my favorites! Memorable food and a memorable overall experience. Allow yourself time to sit back and enjoy as much as you possibly can!

Yelp
Got really hungry after a night at the MET and found ourselves at Snack Taverna. Since there were 3 of us, and the dips are what caught our attention most, we decided to get the 4 Dip Sampler with an extra order of pita (can't go wrong). We chose the tzatziki, skordalia, muhammara and taramosalata - my personal favorite was the skordalia! My two friends ordered the veal meatballs and lamb triangles. The meatballs were just alright - a bit smaller than expected and my friend wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. The veal triangles on the other hand were very tasty! The cocktail menu had unique options - my friend got one with jalapeño infused liquor and I thought it was divine! All and all, the ambiance was nice in a dinner setting, the staff was attentive, and we really enjoyed the shareable aspect of the dips. If I came back, it would definitely be with a group so we can pick at the dips over a drink.

Ray S.

Yelp
Snack Taverna on Morton Street has horrid customer service. I went there to order a lattes for my wife and I, and the owner's (or manager's) response was that he wouldn't sell me the lattes unless I order brunch. And this, in a nasty manner. How is it that a brunch spot would refuse to sell some drinks? And why work in the service industry if you don't know how to talk to customers? It's no wonder that the spot around the corner - Breakfast by Salt's Cure- has a line out the door and this spot has no one.

John R.

Yelp
I order from this place once a week for lunch. Highlights for me are the dips, spinach triangles, and the salads - all really nicely prepared, fresh, and healthy.

G B.

Yelp
i had the tzatziki dip with pita again and still love it! pita is very warm and soft. quiet place. but today i tried the greek salad. it was very good! i couldn't finish it all. i got the small and it was just enough.

Mary K.

Yelp
Had dinner at Snack Taverna with 3 friends on Friday night. Sat in their outdoor seating area; seats were decently spaced for COVID and staff wore masks the whole time. We opted to share several small plates: 4 dip sampler with extra pita (skordalia was the best!), zucchini fritters (so-so), spinach triangles (my favorite!), lamb triangles (also delicious!), veal meatballs (everyone's least favorite), and artichoke/haloumi skewers (so-so). Overall the food was good, but didn't "wow" me. Although they had several tables available, we felt rushed by our waiter throughout the meal. Maybe this was a one-off and another waiter would've made the experience better overall.

Faith B.

Yelp
This is the first review I've EVER left on Yelp. I thought I'd try this neighborhood spot, and it was all going okay until a giant cockroach fell into my bowl. I was horrified and jumped out of my chair. I VERY politely told the manager about it, and he apologized and proceeded to present me with the full bill for my meal (a salad and glass of wine, nothing fancy). So not only did a COCKROACH almost hit me in the head falling from their ceiling and CLANK into my bowl, but nothing was done to ameliorate the situation. Talk about letting a customer leave unhappy! I then sent the restaurant an email following up (photo attached) and NEVER HEARD BACK!!! I followed up again and heard nothing. The last thing I wanted to do was to share this incident on Yelp (as having roaches in the restaurant is AWFUL for reputation) but I can't believe how this was handled -- they left me no choice!

Ashley D.

Yelp
Divine. Great prices. Yummy authentic Greek snacks and meals. I ordered three different plates to share with my gf and it was just enough for us. I look forward to coming back.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Very comforted seeing all the other reviews here noting how bad the service is. This place is in a great location with thoughtful food and ambiance. It's really sad that the service is actively rude and hostile. I've worked exclusively in restaurants for some years now and try to be as considerate and patient with all waitstaff anywhere I go. I thought I had offended our server somehow as he was backhanded, short, and just plain rude with myself and my partner.

Carina P.

Yelp
Delicious: Yes Fresh: Yes Cheap: NO. Portion Size: Small- Medium Value for your Money: overpriced Delivery: Postmates

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I have been here many times over the years and have have had consistent excellent experiences with the food, service, and the super cute and cozy West Village street corner ambiance. The saganaki might just be the best I've ever had, even in Greece; the branzino is cooked perfectly, and I also love the zucchini fritters and shrimp saganaki. Although all Greek salads more or less have the same ingredients, theirs is better because of the freshness and quality of vegetables and feta and seasoning. The whole menu is strong. Last night we had a group for a birthday celebration and the team at Snack truly made it a perfect evening. We agreed on a family style menu to make it easier, which depending on where you are, could be just a big bunch of plates thrown on the table. What we experienced could not have been more opposite from that. Every dish came out in perfectly timed increments so that instead of a normal family style, it actually seemed more like an an extensive tasting menu which elevated the presentation. My guests were delighted with getting to try many different dishes and it turned into an experience seeing what was next. The staff could not be any friendlier or more concerned that we were all having a great time and went the extra mile at every opportunity. I got so many compliments on the venue and I couldn't agree more. A wonderful restaurant run by good people.

Becca K.

Yelp
Great neighborhood joint with tasty food good service and a chill ambiance. I recommend the spanakopita and the scrambled eggs -- I usually come here for brunch. Nice indoor and outdoor seating available most times with no need for a resy.

Caitlin D.

Yelp
I came here for outdoor dining for Sunday brunch. The tables weren't that spaced out but we were lucky as our table actually was a good 6+ feet from the next table. They also had a tent that could cover a couple of the tables if there was rain. The service was good and all servers had masks on and the food was amazing!! The pancakes were super light and fluffy and so flavorful! Also the lamb triangles looked so good too that I got them to try and took home the rest, they were amazing and had really good flavor! Everything was around $15 it seemed, so not bad pricing for brunch!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The food is excellent. I highly suggest the tzatziki, lamb squares, zucchini, Greek salad and saganaki. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for a date or a friend get together.

Jackie S.

Yelp
After a long day of shopping around Manhattan, I came to Snack Taverna with my girlfriends for dinner. I made the reservation for 7:45pm, but we were wiped out from the day and arrived around 6:20pm. The restaurant wasn't busy and we were seated instantly. They even told us it was better we came early because the restaurant had a huge party coming in the same time as our reservation. It's a very small place, so it would've been chaotic. The restaurant itself is very cute, and the service is good too. I recommend ordering a bunch of plates to share. The food was very fresh and good, just a little on the pricey side. We had "the whole shebang," which is a sampling of all the dips and spreads which was very good, the greek salad, fava, spinach triangles which you could tell were fresh and not frozen, and my favorite...the veal meatballs. I also ordered the longacre cocktail which was their spin on a cucumber margarita and it was excellent.

Noah S.

Yelp
Food always good, well-prepared. Atmosphere relaxed. Service friendly and professional.

Gab G.

Yelp
Walked in on a Saturday night around 6:30 and got seated right away, albeit at a table near the kitchen which wasn't totally ideal. Anyway, food was very tasty. I started with the Blind melon (seasonal watermelon cocktail), then had the Taramasalata, which was my favorite thing that we ordered. Greek salad, Artichoke, portobello and haloumi skewers and Zucchini fritters were all great. The only letdown was the Baklava for dessert. Pastry wasn't flaky and I wasn't impressed by the flavor. Overall it was a nice meal, though!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
We went to Snack Taverna to meet up with a family member who suggested we come here while visiting the city. It was a great choice and definitely a crowd pleaser with many different options to choose from. This restaurant is so cute and has a very comfortable, warm, homey vibe. The food was delicious, especially the dips we had for appetizers. Will be returning again!

Stepshev S.

Yelp
Tried to have lunch there today, Wednesday, the server was quite rude. He told me I should know not to sit at a 4 top when we would only be 2. The place was not at all crowded at this time. When I tried to order a drink, he told me he could only make me a drink if I ordered food without even asking if I was here for lunch. At that point I decided to leave. My husband and I have been going there for lunch since before the pandemic, usually on Monday and we have never had any problems, but after this incident I don't think I will be returning.

Alicia C.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! The name almost doesn't go to me. More than just a snack type place, delicious Greek food! Loved the mezze platter of dips. And then my grilled halloumi and squash over farro was perfection! Can't wait to return!

Angelique H.

Yelp
Was walking by to grab some baklava to go, never having been there before, I was surprised with the great menu and welcoming staff, specially Michael. After chatting a few minutes with Michael, we decided to stay and eat an actually meal. I even brought my husband in a few minutes later for a few drinks. Now we have a great Greek restaurant to go to in NYC. Had a wonderful time. Looking forward to seeing Michael again and catching up. Efcaristo!

Ronit M.

Yelp
Came here on Fri (07/19/2019) night before a show at the Greenwich House. Exceptional service, ambiance, and eats! I arrived about twenty-five minutes early to our reservation time and good thing it was an early dinner -- I could be sat sooner being that my feetsies were dying. As I was seated the manager (I believe he was the main man as the other servers reported to him) brought over the menus (drinks and eats) and suggested I have some wine whilst I wait. I wasn't so much in the mood for a boozy beverage, but after some time, I decided to give some a try -- I got to taste a rose and a white wine from some pine, as explained to me from the manager, (both were the 2nd option from the top)... the white was wow. Not wow as in awesome, but wow as in quite a unique taste to it. So much so that I wasn't sure whether I liked it. It had somewhat of a bittersweet taste. The rose seemed average... I wasn't impressed by it, but after the first silent burp the two flavors melded together quite well. My boo came right on time! :) 5:45pm. I looked over the menu quite a bit before he arrived so I knew what I wanted for my main dish. I got the beet salad and we shared a plate called Muhammara (extra pita is free - fun to dip or shmear the dip onto). My boo ate the Papoutsakia "Little Shoes" and we shared Baklava for dessert. The total fare for these eats was $59.00 not including tax & tip. We had a delightful time dining and catching up before the show. We never felt rushed to finish, and our server was awesome too! We kinda tricked him at the end with a joke. The menu and the receipt say "We accept three (3) credit cards per guest reservation." So, when paying, my boo put three (3) of his personal credit cards in the slot with the receipt. Our server's reaction was priceless! (Facial Expression + WTF?!) He came back asking what was up with it, and we showed him the description and he couldn't stop laughing. We made his day/night! He was so enthused by the joke that he went to the manager to share the humor. The baklava wasn't too sweet nor too bland and it came with pitted (or pits removed) dates on either side of the plate (one for each of us). It was a tad tough to eat with only a fork. Maybe pair it with a dessert knife for future baklavaians. Our meals were delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. I'd definitely come back again and try some other eats served there. They have eats suitable for my complex diet and for those without a complex diet and that's a huge plus. Check out my pics for the interior experience! Happy eats!

Yelp
Snack taverna is always good. I've been here five times now. This time was extra special because of Michael. All in all, incredible

Jean K.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick dinner before heading back upstate. I had admired the cute restaurant the day before so took it as a sign to eat dinner there I wasn't disappointed. It is a beautiful cozy space inside and has sort of an updated "old New York" Feel inside. I'm not eating meat so I ordered the Greek salad. It was delicious. The vegetables tasted so fresh and flavorful and it had a delicious piece of feta on top. Had a nice red wine with it. Enjoyed my meal and would recommend it.

Jessica A.

Yelp
Visiting New York and we stopped here to have a couple of glasses of Cabernet.. very cute village spot! Definitely will return to have dinner or lunch next trip to NY! Matt our server was awesome!

Jess L.

Yelp
I came here with my husband on a Friday night around 7pm, and it wasn't very full. We got a nice corner seat, which was a great way to take in the romantic ambiance. They have a swanky cocktail menu, and they were also able to recommend a great dry white wine from Santorini. I'd definitely come back for a drink. In terms of food, some dishes were great while others were a little heavy or not as impressive for the price. The lamb triangles were definitely our favorite. The meatballs were too heavy in oil/spice and too pricey for the size ($13). The zucchini fritters were also teeny ($9). For dessert, we got the baklava, which was was spot on, but their espresso was way too bitter for us. The staff seemed a little standoffish, and I am not quite sure why. They were attentive but never seemed happy to be there. Smallest bathroom I've seen in NYC. Seriously.

Michelle Q.

Yelp
Good crowd, delicious food, friendly/quick service, and overall just a great experience! We got the 3 dip sampler and small Greek salad. Just a note that the hummus is spicy. I was very happy they had vegetable crudités that we could eat the dips with instead of pita. I rarely come across that. I also shared the Branzino with dandelion greens (greens were also spicy so make sure to ask if your meal will be spicy if you don't like spice). The main course was my favorite thing that we ate. The fish was so fresh (I was told it was bought that morning) and I loved the spicy dandelion greens that came with it. I wish I remembered to take a picture, but I was too excited to eat it. Overall, what I was most impressed by was the owner who was there taking care of all of our and everyone else's needs. He truly cares about his restaurant, the service he provides, and the quality of the food. I'd be happy to give him my business any day. It was nice to eat somewhere where your business feels appreciated and not like you're being rushed out for the next customer to come in. It's a very cute restaurant great date night spot or just a place to gather with friends. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Snack Taverna is a small little Mediterranean/wine spot. Hidden away it serves as a sweet date spot for a glass of wine and a light snack. There's nothing special about the food or drink but it's not a bad place to stop in after walking around NYC.

Yelp
Very rude staff. We were super excited to go to this restaurant, but then found out a friend tested positive for covid the day of our reservation. When we tried to call to cancel our reservation, the staff said it was too late and still charged us the $75 no show fee through Resy. I would have went back to try this restaurant, but after being charged and yelled at on the phone I will not be coming back.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. It's cozy, the food is A+, and the owner is so so sweet. Have been craving their lemon chicken soup and souvlaki and was happy to find that they are doing takeout. Just as fresh and tasty as dining in. Oh and the Pullman toast with apple butter is an absolute must!

Yelp
The food was AMAZING!!! We got the branzino, stuffed bell peppers and fava bean dip. The fava dip might've been my favorite dish. I could've eaten that as my main dish. The service was great and I felt very comfortable with the spacing of the outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Cute spot and food was pretty good, but the ambiance was horrific and ultimately our meal was ruined due to a waiter's outburst regarding one of their colleagues that had just left from her shift. Obscene/ Explicit language was used throughout our hour-long visit (not just F-bombs - we all can handle that, but other four-letter words were used to describe the other employee), and it was impossible not to hear his comments as he was essentially yelling profanities about her nonstop. We asked for our check ASAP and left. It, unfortunately, ruined our entire dining experience on what we thought would be a nice sunday afternoon.
