This stylishly rustic barbecue haven boasts a vibrant atmosphere, skillfully smoked meats, and a welcoming terrace to dig into delicious dishes.
"Smokestak is one of the best barbecue restaurants in London. The brisket bun is perfect. It’s ergonomically designed to sit in your hand like a really cute small pet that you will eventually eat. Everything else is good too, like salt-baked beetroot or charred greens. Plus, you come out of the moody, dimly lit spot smelling all lovely and smoky." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager
"You can queue for takeaway at Shoreditch BBQ spot Smokestak on Saturdays, or else you can get your order in here for delivery. They’re only delivering to certain nearby postcodes around east, east central and north, but you can also place an order for collection if you’re outside of their zone." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Barbecue-season is incoming, and there’s no better place to get inspiration from then Smokestak. The Saturday-only takeaway and NE London delivery service features their famous brisket, pulled pork, spicy sausage, and more. Like all the best things in life, the sides are measured in pints, and we’d get a couple of the burnt end beans for sure." - oliver feldman, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"We mean, it’s in the name isn’t it. A popular Shoreditch restaurant that is really, really into corrugated iron, purposeful rust, and importantly, barbecue. Smokestak’s brisket bun is the stuff of London meat legend. But it’s not just this towering beef-meet-bread and pickled chilli fest that gives this place the title of carnivore connoisseurs. It’s the charred pork belly, crispy ox cheek, and 30-day dry-aged ribs too. You can even get a whole beef brisket to share, which, let’s be honest, you wouldn’t be able to fit on that sad little disposable barbecue from Tesco even if you tried. FYI there’s also a terrace out front." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Seriously meaty barbecue spot Smokestak is extending its discounts from Mondays to Wednesdays throughout September. Which means for £15 you can get four courses. And yes, the brisket bun is included." - oliver feldman, rianne shlebak
