"Sophisticated Smalls Another hot bar in Bangkok that harnesses a retro aesthetic is Smalls. Located in the increasingly hip enclave of Suan Phlu in Sathorn, the bar feels like a cross between a Parisian bistro and a smoky jazz club. Indeed, resident blues and jazz combos provide live music several nights a week. Run by David Jacobsen, a long-term face on the Bangkok bar scene, the high-quality cocktails, selection of absinthe and general air of sophistication are testament to his experience."

Great place, great music. Food is ok.. my advice is get something from close by.. this is a bar and drinks and service are good. Live music was awesome. Jazz band 3 piece no vocals. Double bass player. Epic. Well done! Atmosphere was the best part about this place though.

We stumbled across this whilst trying to avoid the tourist traps of Bangkok. What a stunning little bar it is. Great lighting, incredible art work, fantastic music and gorgeous cocktails. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. I'd recommend trying all 3 floors. The rooftop is wonderful, but on our second visit we sat on the cute little balcony on the first floor. Perfect for people watching whilst sipping an tasty cocktail.

Was strolling around after dinner close to the hotel I was staying. Living up to their name, it is a small bar with tasty cocktail drinks. Was lucky enough to watch the band playing that night, they were mixing modern and traditional instruments. What a performance! Really enjoyed the whole experience.

The place is a good place to hangout with your friends. They do have a live band sometimes, but when you want to converse with your friends more I would suggest to sit on the 2nd floor of the establishment. It was cool actually, you can also sit at the balcony, the food are not bad. They are a bit more on the expensive side if cocktails and stuff.

Staff is super friendly and amazing. Great place to meet people and hang out. There wasnt a show this night. But the drinks were def some of the best I’ve had since being here in Bangkok out of a lot of cocktail bars. The ambience is dark and intimate but very engaging. Def check it out you won’t regret it!

Great venue, a little bit of France in Bangkok. Great atmosphere. Great cocktails with a barman who knows what he's doing and is passionate about it. The staff couldn't be nicer. Three levels, so you can find your vibe and temperature. Live jazz some nights. We didn't stay for the music or the food so can't comment but I'm sure it is good. We'll be back
