The Best Times to Visit Dubai

"An indoor ski complex with snow-covered slopes that serves as a popular way to escape Dubai’s extreme summer heat; its indoor ‘mountains’ are highlighted as part of the city’s creative, air-conditioned entertainment offerings that let visitors beat the heat and enjoy attractions year-round, often with easier reservations and shorter queues during the low-season summer months." - Travel + Leisure Editors

25 Best Things to Do in Dubai, According to Locals

"An indoor ski resort that maintains freezing temperatures year-round to offer skiing, lessons, a chairlift, and even live penguins—an example of the city's ability to deliver novel, climate-contrasting experiences under one destination roof." - Latifah Al-Hazza Latifah Al-Hazza Latifah Al-Hazza is a Chicago-based travel journalist, documentary filmmaker, and co-founder of Femscape Sojourns, a boutique women's travel company. "It's All Downhill From Here Admit it; you're curious. A ski hill in the middle of the desert, on the Persian Gulf, no less, is as wild an idea as humankind has ever concocted—but isn't dreaming big what Dubai is all about? The slopes at Ski Dubai are no substitute for Jackson Hole or Vail, of course, but then again, they're not supposed to be. You go simply for the experienceof leaving a housewares shop, sauntering down the hall, and hitting the slopes. Allthe gear required can be rented at Ski Dubai: They even have long overcoats for women in abayas. You can ski or sled, roll down the hill in inflatable plastic balls, frolic with penguins, or even just ride the chairlifts back and forth. When you'refinished skiing, you can head back into the mall for a meal or a movie. You know, just another day in Dubai."

The 25 Best Things to Do in Dubai

"In the middle of a mall in the desert, the world's third-largest indoor ski slope is a sight to behold. A daily lift ticket will run you about $138 (excluding equipment rentals), while a Snow Daycation pass, which primarily provides access to the non-skiing parts of the mountain like tubing, costs $75 per person, and you should plan to get there early. The place is filled with families with kids, most of whom are taking part in various rides, penguin visits and the Snow Cinema instead of skiing. If you're here to shred, there are two runs and a dedicated freestyle area (but Vail this is not)." - Melinda Healy

We had a great experience at Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates. It’s definitely worth going — the atmosphere is fun, the snow activities are exciting, and everything is well-organized. A unique experience right in the middle of Dubai that’s perfect for families, friends, or even a quick adventure. Highly recommended!

It's amazing to see such big ski inside a mall built in a desert! The price is expensive but it's worth for one time experience. For people who are not from colder region it is difficult to spend more than 2 hrs inside. Few suggestions: They can provide two layers of gloves so that it can protect the fingers from getting wet while playing with ice. Lockers are chargeable!! Most of the people will require locker. So it should be included in the package. If people require larger locker then charging can be justfiable. The mountain thriller ride actually does not happen on ice, instead it's on a mat. The equipment provided for the ride doesn't have any cushion below. So there's high chances of hurting your back. I had hit my back severely during the ride. Hoping some action will be taken for future people. Headgears or caps can be offered to the needed people along with jackets. It is difficult to withstand cold inside.

Ski Dubai is definitely a great place to enjoy with family and friends! We had so much fun experiencing the various rides, and there were plenty of photo opportunities thanks to the beautiful decorations and, of course, the snow. It’s definitely cold inside, but don’t worry as they provide full winter gear from head to toe, so you’ll stay warm and comfortable throughout your visit. The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious and the perfect treat in the chilly atmosphere. One of the highlights was our encounter with Santa Claus, it was a really fun experience, especially with the surprise gifts included! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dubai.

Ski Dubai is a wonderful place to escape the hot weather. It's inside the Mall of the Emirates, and it’s amazing to see real snow in the middle of Dubai! As soon as we entered, everything was neat and well-organized. Whether you're trying skiing for the first time or already know how to ski, there’s something fun for everyone. You can go skiing, snowboarding, ride the chair lift, try tobogganing, or play in the snow area made for kids. The Snow Park has lots of fun activities, and the penguin show was the best part; very cute and special! They give you all the clothes and equipment you need, and everything was clean and ready to use. The staff was kind, friendly, and very helpful, especially with beginners. They explained safety rules clearly, so we felt safe the whole time. Inside, it feels like a real ski resort with cold weather, snowy hills, and even a café where you can enjoy hot chocolate and watch people skiing. Ski Dubai is a great place for families, tourists, and even people living in Dubai. It’s full of fun, excitement, and great memories. I highly recommend visiting!

First time at Ski Dubai and my first time skiing ever! I received a voucher from friends for the Discovery Class, and it was a fantastic experience. The instructor was helpful and made it easy to get started, even for complete beginners like me. We were a group of 10, which wasn’t a big issue, but it did mean fewer turns than I would have liked, I wish we could have done more rounds. Still, it was great fun and a unique experience. Definitely recommended! They also provide all the equipment you need.

We had an amazing time at Ski Dubai! It was our first visit, and we were a group of six, some of us have lived in Dubai for over 15 years but had never been until now. We planned our visit in advance and booked our tickets the night before to make sure everything was set. We also read other Google reviews, which helped us prepare the right clothing like bonnets, and leggings under pants so we wouldn’t feel too cold inside. We arrived around 3 PM to make the most of our time, and we ended up spending a good three hours enjoying the activities and taking lots of photos. The place is well-organized, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The whole area was clean, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to returning the gear. We availed one of the activity packages and got to try everything that was included we honestly forgot the names of the individual attractions, but each one was a lot of fun! It was such a great way to escape the intense summer heat outside and enjoy something completely different. After our snowy adventure, we capped the day off with a delicious meal nearby (we had Dim Sum!) a perfect way to end a memorable family day. Thank you, Ski Dubai, for the awesome experience! Highly recommended for both tourists and long-time Dubai residents who haven’t been yet.

If you're looking for a magical escape from the Dubai heat, Ski Dubai is an absolute winter wonderland! From skiing and snowboarding to meeting the cutest penguins, every corner of this snow park is packed with fun. I tried the chairlift, zoomed down the slopes, and couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. The snow was real, the vibe was surreal, and the entire experience was flawless — all inside a mall! Whether you're a pro on the slopes or just want to make snow angels, Ski Dubai gives you a mini vacation in the middle of the desert. It’s a must-visit for families, couples, or solo adventurers. Don’t forget to sip a hot chocolate before you leave — perfect ending!

A great and unforgettable experience! I went with the Fun Ticket, which included gloves, shoes, and a winter suit. Lockers were available for just 35 AED, which was super convenient. I bought the ticket from Get your Guide in 270 Durham. At the entrance, you’ll find adorable penguins and a few cozy spots for coffee and snacks. Inside, there are plenty of exciting activities—like bumper cars, sliding, skiing, and more! Even though it’s July, the weather inside is freezing—just like a real winter wonderland. Everything was perfect, and the best part? You can snap as many photos as you like to capture the memories!
