To see the Sistine Chapel, you have to take a tour through the museum first. It’s worth it because of the huge collection of Roman Artifacts through both Ancient Rome and the Rennassaince. The tour takes about an hour before you go to the Sistine Chapel. They don’t allow pictures once you get into the Sistine Chapel, and they move you through it pretty quickly. We could only stay for about 10 minutes. Still worth it!

Look up. Hard to imagine the work until you actually see it. There are benches along both sides that you can grab a seat and just enjoy looking up. Definitely should be on your must do list. They actually have a good picture of the artwork outside before you start the tour.

Absolutely breathtaking, the art decor is stunning, such a gorgeous tranquil place, I can only imagine the splendour in years gone by. The Roman statues are amazing & it really doe's give you an insight into the Roman empire. Beautiful, breathtaking paintings & tapestries, I would highly recommend a visit if you are in Rome. Such a stunning beautiful place to visit 💕🙏🙏🙏🙏

Went with the family on a winters day in December. So still school holidays. IT WAS BONKERS.way too many people queues longer than you could imagine. The guided tour we did was ok. Lots of facts but a constant feeling being in the way if your group stopped to look at anything. The mass of people was so great. That being said with the crush of humanity in the chapel itself made it impossible to have any sense of the grand scale of this holy place. The whole experience was diminished by the sheer number of people being let through the doors. But your tickets. Get a tour. It's the only thing that saved us from the seventh layer of hell sized queues

Seeing the chapel was an amazing mental moment. Just note that you cannot take pictures inside the actual chapel where you go to pray. When you go inside the chapel take the time to just stand there and look around at how detailed the art is, it is so beautiful, colorful and vibrant. Again, be prepared for a lot of stairs up-and-down, it's a huge building and luckily on our tour it connects from the Vatican. So no going out and having to come back in.

Definitely book prior online. Id required with your entry. 5 euro booking fee per ticket. About 3-5hrs to get the basics. nice eateries inside not over priced. A slice of pizza, chips, and a drink,11 euros . Some great photo opportunities. Can go back to any place to view again or if you missed one. So beautiful gift shop locations. Remember to look up as well as down. So much to take in. Audio tours available for a price.

Me and my husband and I visited the Sistine Chapel whilst in Rome on our honeymoon. It is absolutely out of this world! The artwork is exquisite and so incredible, words cannot describe the sheer beauty, skill, talent, and extraordinary architecture of the Chapel and interior design and artwork. We went as part of a guided tour, and our tour guide was a lovely lady who was very knowledgeable about the artwork and the history behind it too. So worth visiting- such an incredible place to see!
