Sidecar Slider Bar

This was our first time at Sidecar Slider Bar, and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. We ended up overeating because there were many options that sounded amazing. We started with the pretzel bites, and they were bar far the best pretzel bites we have ever had. They looked like they were going to be crunchy, but they were super soft on the inside.The sliders were a decent size, and the burger was juicy. I wish I was able to eat more because there were others I wanted to try. The only negative was the noise. It was very loud and somewhat hard to communicate. It is not a large section, so the music and talking definitely resonates. We will definitely be back to try more of the slider options.

The garlic parmesan waffle fries were delicious, the wings were good, my husband was a fan of the blue cheese and the chicken slider. The pita bun on the Greek slider was too dry. My margarita was decent but I would have preferred it in a margarita glass. Our waiter was cool too.

Go to place for lunch and to watch a game. 5 stars all the way. Friendly clientele and helpful staff. Orders always on time and the food is fresh and tastes delicious. I’m a fan of the calzones and salads and their beef chili is amazing. I’ll have to start trying the sliders more often. We will definitely be back for lunch or dinner soon.

I think we were expecting so much more considering this restaurant is right in downtown Birmingham. The waiter was nice, however, he never once came to fill our waters when they come in such tiny glasses. Highly recommend bigger glasses for water! The food left so much to be desired. I think they must put all the salad dressing in the salad on the bottom of the bowl so there’s barely anything at the top, but the bottom of the salad is drenched in dressing. Maybe put the dressing on the side of the salad? The chicken was super chewy and just not good, possibly overcooked? I wish the chefs had to taste the chicken before it went out. My boyfriend’s dish was also disappointing. He said the dough of his calzone was hot, but the insides were not hot. He felt like the peppers weren’t cooked at all. The waiter never came to give us our bill, so when we had to leave, we just went to the front counter and paid. Hope this is constructive criticism, people definitely expect more, especially from that area.

Food was amazing. Especially the Garlic Parm Fries and the Margherita Pizza. Hands down one of the best if not the best Margherita Pizza’s my girlfriend and I have ever ate. The Coconut shrimp was really good too along with the Spicy Mango aioli. The only small thing that was minus a point, was that we never got a water refill nor was asked if we would like more water. They were all very friendly though and asked how everything was at the end. So service was a 4/5 for that. But food was an easy 5/5. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend this place to others!

I’d post negative stars if I could. The servers were kind but the bouncer is okay with racism to the point where he let a belligerent drunk make antisemitic comments to a coworker of mine and the same drunk proceeded to make fun of my physical appearance like my curly hair and gap (both staples of my Nigerian ancestry). The bouncer refused to kick this patron out after that, my friends and I left so that things didn’t get more heated. I felt like justice was not served. So no I won’t recommend this bar and I won’t go again.

I've passed by this place so many times but for some reason never got the chance to actually go in until a few days ago. It was absolutely worth it!!!! Definitely the best sliders I've ever had....especially the Dirty Bird! Even when I showed my friends they said it was so aesthetic so you know it is good! I love that you can order from both sides of the menu so you can do what I did and that's order a couple of sliders and get a slice of pizza (only 2.25 for a detroit slice)... Definitely a must revisit!!! (Especially since I was told the perch sandwich is so good one of the staff eats it every shift on their lunch)

Was looking for a new place to grab a quick snack before going to the movies, and Sidecar Slider Bar did not disappoint! We stuck to the shareable menu because we planned on eating a ridiculous amount of popcorn, and the items we picked were amazing! We went with the waffle truffle parmesan fries, roasted balsamic and blue cheese Brussel sprouts, and southwest egg rolls. The truffle fries were absolutely hands down the best parmesan truffle fries I have had, and I have had them at a few different establishments. They were hot, fresh, big, and I loved that they were tossed in a truffle oil AND covered with a parmesan truffle sauce instead of just a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The Brussel sprouts were really good. They also come with bacon, but we aren't pork eaters, so we ordered them without, but they were still awesome! The balsamic and blue cheese crumble complimented the crispy Brussel sprouts well. Last but not least , the southwest egg rolls. They came with a side of sour cream and a zesty spicy ranch type dressing. They were great, stuffed with the perfect amount of black beans, corn, chicken, cheese, and spices. When they say shareable, they mean it because those three dishes had the two of us extremely full and needing a brisk walk before heading to the movies to fill up on movie theater treats! In all, it was a great new restaurant experience that I will definitely return to have. The wait staff was awesome, and the place was clean, and the vibes were great. This was my first time at this location, I went to their previous Birmingham location years ago. My fiance and I do delivery pretty frequently from Sidecar and it's either this location or the Farmington one, it always varies. I was working in the office today and was able to walk here, so I ordered small cheese curds, the 2:00 a.m. burger minus the ketchup, and a fried chicken slider, hold the lettuce and hot sauce, and extra maple syrup, which is my go-to order. I also like the mushroom Swiss slider and a few others, but these are my favorites. For takeout, I met Larry at the bar and was able to pay with my credit card. I phoned my order in because it's cheaper than doing DoorDash pick up. This feels like a smaller location than the previous Birmingham one, but apparently they also have a cocktail bar next door and a pizza place all rolled into one. I've been looking for some quick takeout places for when I work at the office and I'm wondering if their pizza place does takeout. Sidecar isn't cheap, my bill was about $19 for those three items, but it's always delicious. Note that they charge you slightly less if you pay cash versus using a credit card, slight pet peeve of mine but oh well. (I still used my cc... It was about 40c more)

Chill place, lots of big screen TVs, friendly service. I'm not big on fries but Sidecar's parm waffle fries- are out of this world! Addicted! Little sliders are great - my favorite is Mush & Swiss! Salads big enough to split.

I use to pick up DoorDash orders from here and made it point to stop by for lunch/dinner one day. Well, I'm happened to be strolling around the downtown area and stop by to get something to eat. The service was good my sliders were great! I can't wait to come back again. They have some of the best sliders I've ever had. Everything from the toppings to the meat to the bun was really good. The presentation was nice as well.

The sliders were really good !!!! I got the salmon and Greek sliders !!! If you get the Greek slider , get the beef.

Very nice dark bar and booth seating setting. Ordered fries and pretzel bite appetizers had a side of queso. Pretzel bites were crispy and went well with sauce dip 8/10. The pizza was a good serving size, thick crust, banana peppers gave a pickled kick -good pizza 8/10.

I just moved here from Baton Rogue and was checking out the town for a bite to eat. I thought this place was so cool. I really loved the atmosphere with the blue lights and checkered floors. It reminded me of my favorite bars down south. I had a couple cocktails while chatting with people at the bar. I can't rave enough about the cocktail my bartender made me. The service was great and the people at the bar were nice. Will definitely be coming back here.

We had such a great night at Sidecar. The hostess was very kind and got us seated very quickly. We were waiting on a table to leave and right when they got up the table was cleared for us. The food was super yummy too, I will definitely be back!! They pile on the meat heavy for the meat pie! The Brussel sprouts had great flavor. Loved the sliders too! We ate most of them before being able to get a pic.

We sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. Great service from the bartender. Delicious drinks and happy hour portions are very generous - six large crunchy shrimp for $6. The mango salsa was just spicy enough. The music was a little loud but not too bad. Plenty of parking in the lot across the street.

They have a pretty good happy hour menu and happy hour on Saturdays which is a huge plus! We got the coconut shrimp, pierogis, and brussels sprouts and all of them were really good, especially the coconut shrimp! I also asked for my margarita to be made spicy and they added the perfect amount of spice. Food came out pretty fast and our server came by right before happy hour ended to check if we needed anything else. Ambiance is very casual, it's a good place to come with a big group or to watch sports.

It was suggested by friends that we try here. Hadn't been here so was game. It was a Saturday night and so was busy but they seated our group by the bar where we could watch sports. We ordered egg roll to share. All agreed just ok. I had a salmon slider for $~7 which was 3.5/5. A bit over cooked as it was thinner. Their smoked Wings are popular, 4/5. I'd consider this a bar with a good bar menu and food ok+, not great . Service was good

Had a nice quiet lunch there on a hot summer day in July If you choose to dine al fresco, they have 2 patios, one in the sun and one shaded. Enjoyed their 9-1-1 burger, sliders and their Cheese curds, The sliders are small as sliders go and most of the cheese curds were hard, but tasty, Washed it all down with some Pigeon Hill, Alaskan Amber Ale and some Shorts Parade. Dolan our waiter was very attentive.

After midnight looking for a bite to eat and Sidecar was a beacon of awesomeness. Fairly busy inside but my sliders still put pretty quickly. Thank you for being open late!

Drinks drinks were OK and actually the bartender was super attentive but but when the bar closed We finished up our drinks and then the Bartender said you have to wait outside as I waited for my Uber Uber said 18 minutes and it was 30 fucking degrees outside. And the girls that were with me that I paid for the bill. Watched me as I sat outside because the bartender forced me to stand outside and not the girls. Why don't understand is I drank earlier post lunch with RJ at the bar. He told me to go to the market around the corner and it was amazing so I thought it was a good idea to come back and have a drink before closing much later, I didn't think that they would fuck me over and leave me out in 30° weather. While I waited for an Uber. I would never tell anybody from UWM or anywhere else to come here at night because their night staff or pieces of shit

Best bar in Birmingham. You can relax, not be judged, eat some good food, and the drinks are the most bang for your buck. Open late all the time and you can get in pretty much always. The staff and management make it like your neighborhood Cheers. If you haven't checked it out, I'd do a night cap there or even go on a Sunday for a quick bite.

Loved the staff- so warm and welcoming - food was reslly good too! Loved the place! We are two older people but we felt very comfortable for tow late night visits! Thank you!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT! You can't go wrong w any of the sliders. However, the breakfast, get him to the Greek, and smokehouse are fantastic. They have a specialty menu daily w different items. The pretzel bites and Brussels sprouts are delicious too. They have a large selection of draft beer and some amazing cocktails. I suggest going to see JOSH at the bar! He will take wonder care of you, but all the staff is amazing. It has a vibe like no other. Plus you can go between the 2 other connected restaurants for other entertainment. They even have an arcade with tons of TVs in every direction you look. So if you want to have great food, impeccable service, and a epic night with friends or family; I highly suggest Sidecar!

Went for a celebration. ONE 3oz slider was $5.75 and FOUR lousy onion rings (frozen crumbly ones) were $6.75. Both were sub standard and not worth the price. Very disappointed in the entire experience and would not return. Ever.

I've been to this restaurant multiple times and TWICE ive specifically asked for non-alcoholic drinks, yet they still served me alcohol. I've been sober for over a year, and this made me feel like I can't trust their drinks or attention to detail. If you enjoy mocktails or want non-alcoholic options, I don't recommend this place. It's really disappointing, especially for those of us who take sobriety seriously. I won't be coming back if they can't respect such an important request.

So this place started as a 4, through the experience went to a three by the time I got the bill, a two. Super hipster vibe. Almost like everyone wanted to be the next Tony Hawk Pro skater, without trying too hard to actually do any moves. Anyhow, after I got sat, the server... left? Then about 11 minutes (yes, 11.. not ten, not fifteen.. eleven) a new guy approached, as the new server. Super friendly, hipster vibe, told me to try the ahi burger, if it wasn't filling just, order another.. so, I ordered it, along with the duck tips, which came out, ehh after about 12 (not quite fifteen) minutes, with hair (check the pics) Then after dude was done 'chilling' (another ten minutes) he came to check out how the food was, I said I like my duck preferably human hairless, he asked, 'would you like this off your bill or, remade' I said I enjoyed my long wait already, why not make it longer! After about 5 mins my duck returned with hair (however, I think this time it was actually towel hair) so I just pulled it out and ate it at this point. No discount or anything, the bill came, then when he swiped the card and brought back the receipt the Bill amount changed (see pics) So, overall.. Price of food, good. Portion size for $ = okay Ambiance = loud, dark, hipster Service = horrible Quality = questionable Reputation = below average

Excellent happy hour food menu until 7. Large beer list. Service is good. Atmosphere is a little loud for my liking but that won't stop me from coming back.

Sidecar itself has been my favorite place for the last 4 years the food is AMAZING the drinks strong & good! The manager they have right now sucks he has a terrible attitude in my opinion. I love the bartenders my two favorites are Timra and I can't think of his name he has ginger hair they make great drinks! GIVE THEM A RAISEEEEE.

The location was extremely loud - we asked for the music to be turned down so we could have table discussions. Lots of kids at large tables - parents unaware their kids were screaming. Food was ok / had two sliders. Had to ask for a napkin and water refill - service was mediocre at best. This is a bar atmosphere more than a restaurant/ I would try it again at a different day or time

Hands down one of the best duck appetizers in metro Detroit. I've never had anything like it. Battered thin duck strips with a not too sweet teriyaki sauce sprinkled over. And the wine selection was pretty good. It's an elevated neighborhood bar. Bonus the music isn't 20 or 10 years old. Thank you sweet baby Jesus! I like it as much as I can like a bar bar. Please do not change the duck appetizer I beg of you! Did I mention all the tvs? There are a lot of tvs too. So order the duck beotch.

I came here on a Monday afternoon and had no trouble seating at all. I was sat outside and was quickly approached by the manager and server. They were both so friendly and warming I was actually excited to dine here and try what they had! Automatically I knew that this menu was right up my alley. Typical sliders and bar food which I love. I ordered the chili cheese fries, drive thru slider, mac and cheese slider, breakfast slider, and the big country. I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed. The sliders were decently sized for the price, but the meat was all over cooked and hard. The big country was fried chicken instead of beef and it was easily the best slider, it was so good! The other sliders were good, but over cooked meat made them not as satisfying. The fries were also good, I love a cheese sauce. Overall, I had really great customer service. The manager checked up on us a couple times, the server was great. If it wasn't for the meat, this would've been an easy 5 stars. I'll have to come back and try some of the other sliders! I would still recommend this place!

The "security" Sucks - I wouldn't waste my time going there. They have an agenda. Better places for sure!! Hakim - wouldn't let me in the following day. Their food and drinks aren't worth the BS. Check out another local restaurant!!!!

It's late night and you are looking for a great food and drinks. Come to this place located at the heart of Birmingham with large menu to order from. I like the variety of sliders, smokehouse slider is one of my favorite. And their waffle fries - ONE OF THE BEST I ever had. Overall, good service, fun ambiance and friendly staff.

As a Birmingham local I have tried all the hotspots in Birmingham. Tonight was a major disappointment as we ordered carry out but a couple items were missing which is very annoying but glad we checked so we went back in to get them. I WISH I took a picture because when my SO came back with it and we checked it.... The two hotdogs looked like someone dropped them and then put them back in the box. They were stacked, messy, the bread is covered in sauce. No one would open it and be happy to eat it is where I'm getting at. So we go back inside AGAIN! Major annoyed at this point because I was hungry but now I'm not as it's a hotdog and yet you mess it up. I ask to speak to the manager as this presentation is unacceptable! Gabby was NOT very pleasant with no hospitality and seemed like she could care less that there is a issue. when I showed her this is how I received it she just looked at me "so do you want us to remake it" ummm well would you eat this when you can't even make out what it is that you ordered? Thank goodness for their host, Alexis! She was the only kind person with amazing hospitality which is very important as that's the first face you see when you walk in. I will say I did wait rather long time for 2 hot dogs and it wasn't busy as I've seen sidecar busier. Alexis went to go check and the food was ready... the manager, Gabby, did not even bring it when it was ready? I was surprised to find Gabby the manager as that made the whole experience worse to know who it's being managed by to be honest. If I could've gave tonight 0 stars I would but honestly this place gets the 1 star because the host, Alexis, was the only pleasant thing in the whole experience.

I thought this place was amazing. There's a parking lot right across the street, they offer two hour parking for free. They have an amazing happy hour special with $2 pizza slices and $6 apps. The Brussels were really on point, you could have them as just your meal. The shrimp were great, waffle fries were delicious, but the pretzel bites were probably my least favorite option. Other than that everything was just really outstanding. The service was great, food came out super fast and over all its a nice clean space that I will definitely be back soon.

Their pulled pork was nicely done. I enjoyed the Smokey profile. I also enjoyed the selection of other creative sliders.

Be careful! This place charges extra if you use a credit card. I guess they think they are a gas station. The pizza is good (especially the Old Woodward which has actual garlic cloves on it among other things) but if you are price conscious bring cash only (or deduct it from tip?) Owner is not smart - if their profit margin is so bad they can't afford the credit card fees then raise your prices! Won't be back. Then they have the Gaul to get you to pay the tip based on the highe credit card fee! Waitress doesn't get that - owner does.

Love their Happy Hour Monday -Friday 3-6pm. Deep dish pizza slices for $2. It's the best happy hour in town! East to park since it's across the street from the free for first two hours parking lot.

We are so disappointed. For our family of four, it was $100. All of the sliders were dried out and gross. Just really yucky. Plus, they tried to up charge everything 20%! My husband was like "my wife added it up and its 96$." They tried charging 115! I get w covid every place is charging more. But the prices on the menu are x, you can't charge y. I do not think i will go to this location again. So disappointed.

Relatively expensive place, you get one slider for six dollars, and 5 1/2 for some waffle fries. They have a great selection of beer.

Really enjoy this cozy bar. Bartenders are super friendly and the sliders don't disappoint. Nice clientele and not pretentious (as Birmingham tends to be) Stop in and check it out!

Do not go here unless you want to risk getting the absolute worst bought of food poisoning you've ever had in your life. I ordered the ahi tuna salad. It tasted good and I ate about half. Four hours later I was fighting for my life for another eight hours straight. Sidecar should pay for my therapy after that insanely traumatic and horrible experience. While the service and ambiance were good BEWARE of the food!! Don't say I didn't warn you ....

The restaurant was short staffed when we got there, but they went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The food was great, our waiter was friendly and answered questions cheerfully.

Called me dude and then I ordered a large fry to go and she said "if I remember". Then she gave me a small fry, not to go. Didn't stay to order an entrée. :(

Pretty good takeout food. Haven't been in yet for dine in vibe but the food is always pretty good.

I really miss Mitchell's Seafood Sidecar offers a small variety of sliders with vegan option but they are approximately $5.00 per slider with no sides greens nothing. Service was polite and informative. I ordered the tuna, fried perch, and a order of cheese curds. The perch was delicious, the tuna was flavorless, and the curds were fine. ‍

Waitress could not have been more rude. Food was awful I could have made better pizza in my microwave. This place is disgusting and I am surprised it is even in businesses.

We just received an order of breaded chicken wings, coleslaw, and chili. The wings must have been already fried earlier, then reheated in oil. The crusts was over browned and hard enough to cut right through the roof of your mouth. The meat was dry and tough. The coleslaw was warmer than room temperature, in a 1/4 cup, closed container. We were afraid to eat it, non-refrigerated?? The chili was not hot nor tasty. Sidecar Slider Bar is around a mile away from home, we were hoping to find good local food, delivered. We gave 2 stars because the delivery was prompt.
