Great night out , been many times , so exciting and colourful . I wish it was on Wed or Thursday instead of a Friday though , then I could go twice a week

Great night if you are up for a cheap and cheerful fun. It's is a simple dog track with shall we say basic facilities. But the dogs and a little flutter are the main attraction. I would say the staff are great, good banter and more than happy to help.

Not been here for a few years now but it's a bit run down now. Still enjoyed my night and also got a couple of winners. Bar area was good and service was quick they also do meals. Best prices for a bet is the bookies at the track side.

This is a great night out for both young and old and a great venue for a family night. Kids are also welcome. There is an outdoor area to watch the racing and to bet on your favourites along with an indoor area, bar and restaurant to beat the cold weather. Highly recommended!!

Great for a Friday night out with mates. Much better than just going to a pub. You get a race guide on entry which lists details of all the dogs with their history and form. You can then place small bets on each race and enjoy the odd win (or not usually). Large undercover area, restaurant and bar.

Great night out with friends and family - even offer catered party / function events ! - 3 bars +++ !!! - Good night out with the boys or the missus! - Something (old) but new to do here in glasgow on a fun night out !!! Atmosphere is also amazing on derby weekend- if never been you have to go its electric. Shawfield do well to keep an intricate company operating so smoothly. Kudos to them with a restaurant, multiple bars and dog racing it really is a night of fun (especially when you win ;) ) . Great management and workers providing great customer service and a good time! Would definitely recommend for mates or family events !!!

Was a regular visitor here over 10 years ago. First time since and my goodness what a poor shadow of its old self it was. Outside area and facilities practically non-existent. Although cafe at far end open, none of the bars were and stands were empty. Ended up in upstairs lounge for a heat and bar and tote had lengthy queues. Sadly, don't think I'll venture back.

Dirty, dingy, outdated. Food was on a par with a greasy burger van, drinks outrageously overpriced. Place was dead and those that were there seemed to be the dregs of society. "Great night out", I don't think so. Would never go back or recommend.

This is a great night and something different to do on a Friday or Saturday. The venue is really shabby but that kinda adds to its appeal. You can sit outside with a drink or there are a couple of bar areas were there are TOTE's so you don't need to go far for a bet. It's £5 in on a Saturday and the first race is usually about quarter to eight with the last one being around quarter past ten. There is a newish bar called the dugout and it stays open until 12am, this is ideal to be as i would recommend booking a taxi for your journey home as it can be a bit quiet outside the stadium. There is a huge car park but it would be worth leaving the car as it is a reasonably priced round. There is a restaurant which is a set menu and is a bit school dinners eg steak pie, chicken in a basket etc but it was packed last Saturday so you should book a table rather than turn up. There is also a snack bar which will do you chips n gravy, burgers, tunnocks tea cakes and rolls etc. I prefer going in the summer as its nice to get a seat outside, also its a good place to come for a few pints before moving on into town.

This is a fantastic alternative night out which I always enjoy. You can bet on the greyhound you want to win, it can cost as little or as much as you want, the fun is in the 'winning'. I am always quite lucky. The surroundings are a bit dated and it is in need of refurbishment. It could do with a good clean as well, but I love it for a night out. Highly recommended, just make sure you have had something to eat before you get there.
