Serisso 47 Di Gaetano Basirico'

Wow. The food was a-ma-zing. For sure the best food we've had in Sicily so far. There wasn't a dish that we didn't like. Compliments to the chef! However, we feel like the service could be better for a restaurant this good. For starters, we were given an Italian menu without any further explanation, even though the waitress knew that we couldn't read Italian. (We had read somewhere that they take the time to explain the menu to tourists, but we didn't receive this treatment.) We had no choice but to grab our phones and put every dish through Google Translate. When we got to our desserts, we received another waiter who did take the time to explain every dessert to us, which was extremely nice and hospitable, so thank you! :) Another point of feedback is that during dinner we were out of drinks for +- 30 minutes (no wine, no water) and no one seemed to notice. In the end we just raised our hand to ask for drinks ourselves, but then again, you kind of expect a waiter to notice at this type of restaurant. We would definitely recommend this restaurant, because the food is top notch. However, since we didn't feel like we got the best possible experience, we rate our night 4 stars.

Food was incredibly tasty. Intense and real taste of the sea. Great service and kind with my 2 years old. Price was less than 50 per person for an incredible 3 course menu without wine. Very recommended.

This place is a real treat. Excellent service, remarkable food, great value. We were recommended by our hotel and are so glad we went! It's beautifully decorated. The waitresses/hostess was welcoming and warm and helped to translate the menu for us. The other waiter also was friendly and helpful. The hostess let us know the specials and brought out the fish of the day. When we explained that we'd had a problem the last few days with huge portion sizes, she immediately suggested we split the special prima and fresh fish secondo, without any hesitation. She recommended against adding the soup as she thought that might be too much - a good sign of a restaurant if they think of your enjoyment over their profit!! The pasta prima was divine as was the fish, which was crusted in pistachio and dried fruit. She brought it out to us after cooking and then took away to clean and serve - wonderful. For dessert we had two lovely specialities that were not too sweet (as Italian desserts can be). We had a wonderful wine with all of this - a remarkable and lovely evening!

It has been a bad experience for me. Really expensive for not a good quality. Service was also low quality. Feeling that we disturbed them. They threw water near the glass, I had to clean. They served wine we had to ask for ice in order to keep the cold of the bottle. The pastas they served were too salty! Almost impossible to eat. Quantity was a joke. They try to have the codes of a really good and gastronómico restaurant but honestly it has been really disappointing for us.

Amazing food and service. I live in Sicily and these dishes were elevated to a whole separate level. Such a romantic and personal ambiance. Service is top notch. . Cannot recommend enough.

Best food in Sicily for us so far. Reasonable prices and high quality. Same for the wines. Best cassata I've ever had too

Excellent dinner with a wide choice, mostly fish but lamb too. Sophisticated flavors with North African spices. The menu was in Italian but the host translated and explained. Reasonable price for fine food.

We have been in Sicily for a week and Trapani for 5 days and we had our best meal at Serisso 47. Our hiking group of 7 had many of the dishes on the menu and every one was excellent. In addition the staff was wonderful and the atmosphere inviting.
