Joseon Gimbap

Came by this shop for lunch after visiting the palace nearby. It was a 5 - 10 mins short walk from the palace. It is a quiet shop which is very cosy and nice. When we came, there was only one table of customer dining in. So it was pretty quiet，which is nice. The sajangnim (boss) of the shop was very nice. They have a English menu so it is easy to see what you want. The menu is small, so there's only a stew, a noodle soup, and two types of kimbap. Can't remember what else was there. Make sure to order the fishcake kimbap! It is super delicious. The noodles is also good to eat during winter. The banchan (side dishes) are nice too!

It has real strong sesame taste. This shop is tiny and we grabbed a takeaway before heading to next destination. Don't be surprised the entrance is actually the kitchen. Easily missed. But look out for the shirt hanging outside!

Small and local dining place. You might wait for minutes. Tastes are little bit old-fashioned but very "homemade".

After gallery hopping around there i was looking for a Gimbab place and there it was! Somewhat different from what i normally had but really liked it! Pungent but tasty. Worth trying.

It was lovely. The restaurant is really small, but cozy. Food was great. Unfortunately, the menu was in Korean only and the personnel couldn't really speak English, but we were lucky enough to meet a kind young girl there, who translated for us. So, either be lucky as us, or have your dictionary ready!

We tried both kinds of gimbap (4,500 each). Both very good but we preferred the fish cake as it had nice touch of wasabi. Some others in these reviews complain of the stronger sesame flavor but we enjoyed that.

Simple menu. Great Gimbap. Family cooked meal feeling. Travelling with a kids stroller. Strollers must leave outside the store.

Tried to eat here with my family (me, my wife, my aunt, and teenage cousin). As we were walking towards a table, a man (the owner?) got in our way and yelled angrily “koreans seat! Koreans seat!”...so obviously we just left, very embarrassed and confused about why we were treated with such disrespect for no apparent reason. I can’t speak for the food, but if you are a tourist then you might have an awkward, racist encounter at this place. Didn’t experience anything remotely like this anywhere else in Korea. This was literally the worst thing we experienced in two and a half weeks of visiting an otherwise beautiful country. You should eat somewhere else.
