Nestled among palm trees, this laid-back hacienda in Sonoma offers a dreamy setting for wine flights and seasonal bites under the sun.
"Sonoma sweetheart Scribe will be available for tasting in the VIP section of the festival." - Lauren Saria
"If there's such a thing as a hipster winery, Scribe Winery probably qualifies. Owned by young brothers and located in Sonoma, it's a small production vineyard with a decidedly unstuffy vibe—you'll sit at a picnic table or swing on a rope swing while you sample their rosé. There's a historic hacienda located on the property that the brothers are in the midst of restoring. It promises to be a fantastic tasting room (and an even better event venue), but until the project is finished, they're happily running their tastings on an outdoor hillside lovingly dubbed "the knoll." "For this jaded New Yorker, the idea of cooking in California kicks off an amber-hued fantasy of palm trees, big sunny kitchens, postcard sunsets, and envy-inducing produce (they have it all—even in winter!). But the first time I drove up the half-mile long, palm tree-lined driveway at Scribe Winery in Sonoma, I realized my corny fantasies didn’t even come close." - ByCarla Lalli Music
"Private tours are by appointment only, but it’s an amazing property. They’re composting and recycling and everything is beautiful. Sometimes they do lunches over there, too—it’s just a crazy magical feeling when you’re there." - Sara Button
"Una Lou Rosé is made from organically farmed pinot noir grapes with notes of wild strawberry, grapefruit, and sea salt. A percentage of the proceeds supports agricultural education in California." - Lyndsey Matthews
