"Scout's Honour is basically as cute as the name suggests. Bright and cosy on the inside, chirpy staff and a whole heap of greenery scattered throughout. Breakfast and lunch is their thing and don't they do it well. Their breaky roll is second to none, and they also pour a mean coffee. But where they really make a name for themselves is their signature sandwiches. Can't go wrong with the beef brisket with zucchini pickles." - lowercase

I think this place should be a local institution if it is not already. It is what a local cafe should be with out all the bells and whistles - solid food, friendly service and great coffee. They rotate salads but they are always amazing fresh and flavourful

One of my favourite cafés in Sydney, and definitely the one I visit the most. All the food is delicious and healthy, with interesting flavour combos. They also have a constantly changing menu that has featured some of the best sandwiches of my life.

Really nice food and coffees. It's super cool this little Cafe with having I usual twists on classics and full of flavour. The staff are all young and hip but also very nice and deliver great service. There's wifi and a good amount of seating. All food is made on site and all their baked goods are amazing! Today I had their potato salad toastie and it was just yummy.

The coffee here is well loved in the area, and people are out the front pretty much all day. They do the best muffins in the area, or anywhere really. Their food menu isn't extensive, but what they offer is a little different, and well made. I've only had takeaway from here.

My favorite spot in Redfern for lunch and coffee. Sandwiches always on point: fresh, inventive, delicious. And I love how they give you a piece of fruit. Coffee is excellent as well. Service friendly and helpful. Love this place!

In the dozens and dozens of times I've been here, the coffee has never been anything less than amazing, and their vegan options are consistently yummy. Really fresh, seasonal, tasty food. Hugely recommend the tomato avocado toast for brekkie.

Yelp
Redfern has certainly changed a lot since I was a lot younger, and the hole in the wall coffee shops like this demonstrate this. It can be a little difficult to find, but that is one of the beauties of this place because there are a lot of these coffeeshops tucked away from the prying eyes, though they still seem to attract a crowd. This place isn't that large, though they have the standard fare for breakfast (and lunch). I've ended up drinking tea simply because I can't do coffee anymore, and the tea wasn't all that bad. Oh, at it has a nice vibe as well, and the back area was fairly quiet, at least on the week days (when people only come here for the coffee).

Yelp
Small but mighty. My Redfern living experience is honestly enhanced by neighborhood heroes, Scouts Honour. The foood here is sahhhh tasty! Sandwiches stuffed with slow roast pork, salads tricked out with harissa sour cream, mint and pommegranate, and brunches fixed with the greenest greens and toasted pumpkin seeds. Get a box to takeaway and you'll be the envy of your coworkers. SH make discerning choices when it comes to what ingredients they use, calling on their favourite local suppliers. Even their sourdough and brown bread are sourced from two different bakers (Brickfields and Sonoma respectively). 'Cos only the best is good enough for their menu. Inside only seats about 20 peeps and yet they had five flavours of muffin this morning - testament to their passion for homespun noms. Don't walk away without grabbing a banana, peanut butter and choc. Mmmm.... Hot tip: Scouts Honour do the best avo on toast in town.

Yelp
Beautiful little Cafe with a tight menu and delicious fresh, Healthy and tasty dishes ! Atmosphere is super laid back, you only order from the outside counter, and pick your own cuttlery/ water etc. Place is small So would not go as A big Group - best for 2-3 catchups Staff was Very friendly and accomodating. Had the automn superbowl - kimchi was delicious, So as the marinated chicken. Great mix of textures and flavors.

Yelp
Consistently great food. Scout's Honour has a small menu that executes every time. I love that the menu is consistently changing. They offer healthy salads and massive sandwiches. I haven't had a sandwich yet but can't wait to go back and order one. The salads are super generous and filled with fresh ingredients that sing together. The rainbow salad was crispy and crunchy full of fresh herbs and tender poached chicken along with a Vietnamese dressing that brought it all together. Great place for take away rather than dining in.

Yelp
On our first morning in Redfern, we walked by Scout's Honour and decided to give it a try for some breakfast and coff--OH MY GOD GO TO THIS PLACE AND HAVE THE BREAKFAST NOURISH BOWL. Ahem... The breakfast nourish bowl was--how do I put this politely--out of this f****** world! A layer of flavors and textures I don't think I've ever had in a grain bowl before. Fresh kale, light olive oil, poached egg, toasted seeds and nuts that add a beautiful earthy flavor. And then, we have the thyme ricotta. I think the thyme ricotta deserves a post on its own. It absolutely took the dish from good to great. It was an emotional experience just to look at he bowl, but stopping myself from burying my face in it required a whole new level of self control I didn't know I had. Go here. #thisiswild #emotionalfoodexperience

Yelp
This small cafe punches well above it's weight in the Redfern battle of the lunch. Every ingredient and flavour has been carefully thought out and meticulously put together.... it's a delicious explosion in my mouth. I'd dare to say that these sandwiches are better than sex with a D list celebrity, they are that good. Oh and the fresh cookies and muffins? I can't even. #orgasm. Note to the wise: get there before 12 or call in your order to avoid the long lines. Meticulously put together, better than sex sandwiches take time to prepare.

Yelp
I got a sandwich for lunch via their take away app with a friend. It's so convenient and clever, because this little stall is absolutely mobbed! The reason is that the sandwiches are absolutely delicious--I had the avo smash sandwich, which was still fresh and tasty when I finally had time to eat it three hours later. Best of all, the sandwich, which came in a brown bag, also included a little tangerine/clementine as a side dish. Made me feel just like I packed a lunch from home, except this was far nicer (and more filling)!

Yelp
A smart mind running this place I reckon. They offer a simple, some might say limited menu, that's actually well-thought out in that it would seem to cater to various palates without over stocking their kitchen. I had a take-away Vermicelli Noodle salad that was handed to me in rolled paper bag and oh the joy of discovering an apple had been popped inside for free. Simple strategy but gives it a cutesy appealy like Nanna packed my lunch - only with more fruit and less cornflakes sandwiches....dib-dib I say.
