San Ignacio Resort Hotel

We had a wonderful experience. The resort was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The room was spectacular with an amazing view. The staff were the best. Very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. We enjoyed every aspect of this resort. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable hotel and friendly staff. Conveniently located in San Ignacio, close to all the restaurants and central to all the sites in Cayo District. There was ample parking for our rental; and an onsite restaurant. The pool was maintained; however, as it's not heated and it wasn't hot enough for us we didn't use it. You can borrow towels if you go on an excursion and the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful! Would definitely return if I ever visit the region again.

While many hotels also offer exceptional service, what elevates San Ignacio Resort Hotel over the rest is its location, one side facing downtown and the opposite the jungle. The onsite restaurant offers a quiet and accessible location with fine dining with great bird and animal watching from your dining table. We ate there many times with different meals each time and the food was always delicious. ||Don't miss the onsite green iguana tour! While the hotel will book a wide variety of tours for you (and you should definitely check those out), we booked most tours from another company because of expanded offerings, so you may want to stroll downtown to talk to other providers to learn all your options before you book. Tours appear to be readily available and we booked each tour only 1 day in advance.||And if you are thinking of seeing Tikal, I recommend doing a private tour from Flores, because you can get into the park when it opens at 6AM. And Flores itself is a worthwhile visit anyway.

My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, blending modern comfort with natural elements. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the sight of vibrant greenery was an absolute delight. What truly sets this resort apart is its commitment to providing unique experiences. I loved exploring the trails and taking the guided iguana tour, where I got to interact with the Green Iguanas up close. The concierge also helped me arrange incredible excursions to nearby Mayan ruins and caves, making it easy to immerse myself in Belizean culture and history. Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, the San Ignacio Resort Hotel delivers on all fronts. It’s the perfect blend of luxury, nature, and hospitality. I can’t wait to return!

Everything at this hotel was top notch. The service was impeccable and we felt like the most important people at the hotel! We also did the Iguana tour, even though we weren’t too interested in it (it was something to do…). I am SO GLAD we did it because it ended up being one of our favorite activities on our trip! The room was comfy, food is good, drinks are great - the ONLY negative is that it’s at the top of a hill which makes the walk back from town a bit exhausting.

Great location in town, with an amazing restaurant that overlooks the grounds where you can see many birds and other critters while having dinner. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and Onil particularly went over and above to help us navigate a trip to Tikal. Santos guided a morning birding experience and was a delight. While lots to do in San Ignacio, the hotel itself is an experience to remember.

What a beautiful little spot in the world! The service was outstanding and the staff so accommodating and friendly. It's also within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars. It's on a hill, so the trek back will wear off a few of your margarita calories! :) We also ate at the restaurant on site and it was a terrific meal. The pool is quiet and comfortable, as were our rooms. I would. and hope to someday, definitely go back!

We just returned from a lovely stay at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel. The property is up a short hill from town, making it easy to explore. The grounds were lovely and inviting, with a swimming pool and on-site trails. The staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating, from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.
