Very nice theater to see a show. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Not a bad seat in the house. Theater was clean and well kept. Temperature was a little warm for me liking but that's just me. Thanks for a memorable experience.

Update: Saw Eureka Day. Absolutely wonderful play. Have never sat in the mezzanine before but the view from the first row was great. Great little theater. Mary Jane was really well acted. Terribly sad play but so worth seeing.

Went to see Jana’s African hair braiding! I haven’t been to a Broadway play in a long time the theater is not huge and no concession stand for the 90 min show! Chairs were comfy for a theater. No real complaints and I didn’t go to the restroom so I can’t tell you about that. Great show though

A very funny satire about wokism by Anna Shapiro. The school board is trying make a decision on vaccination policy at a school board meeting. Great acting and very witty. Performance is scheduled to end February 2.

Samuel J Friedman Theatre is okay, but not the greatest currently among those Broadway level theaters in Manhattan. The interior is nice, but the seats could definitely be updated (still comfy, just pretty old cushions). It's a pretty intimate theater for being a Broadway level one - It feels very small so all seats are effectively close to the stage. It's very possible to do shows without mics on the acting team, which is kind of unique. It's also a nonprofit theater which is very unique among the Broadway theaters.

I recently attended an excellent performance of Eureka Day with my daughter, who is a subscriber. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she was delayed, and I have accessibility issues. I wanted to compliment and thank the wonderful staff at December 15th's matinee performance. The house manager Janelle, as well as Jackson, Reggie, and the usher who was on duty on the balcony level whose name I cannot recall, were amazing in assisting me and then helping my daughter to locate me once the performance was underway. I LOVE MTC and am already looking forward to the next production! Thank you for your kindness and your concern! You are the BEST!

Saw “How I Learned to Drive” here. Was a very nice theater. Staff was friendly and professional. Checked ID and vax cards and got everyone through security quickly. Theater itself is beautiful. Would like to go back to see something else one day.

I loved my experience at this theatre. It's on the smaller side, so I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. My cousin and I went to this theatre to see Jaja's African Hair Braiding. Check-in was pretty easy. We were directed to the appropriate section and found our seats. The play itself was beautiful. My cousin and I were talking about it for days after seeing it. The set was pretty cool as well. I would definitely return here to see another play. The theatre is a few blocks away from Penn Station. We ended up walking there from the train station.

This was a sweet little theater, very cozy, ample room in the seats, For JAJA's African Hair Braiding we sat rear rt Orchestra and it seemed there wasn't a bad seat down there. Great ventilation, just a great theater all around. Anything beats the very old, tight, warm classic theaters.

I saw Prayer for the French Republic at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre last month, and the theater was a fine venue for this excellent play. Pretty average for the Broadway theaters in terms of seats, views/visibility of the stage, concessions, ticket delivery, etc. A theater I'd be happy to see another play at in the future.

Watched Mary Jane. Small theater but seats were comfortable. First row and was able to see everything clearly.

Had a great experience going to the Samuel J Friedman Theatre. From security staff who checked your bag to staff checking tickets and directing you to area has been delightful. Since it was pouring rain and damp, we were able to get coffee for $3.00. Restroom facilities were clean and no long lines. This is a warm, inviting and cozy theatre. Seats were comfortable. This is a much smaller theatre. Our seats were upstairs in the Mezzanine level. Great view where we were located. We came to see Summer 1976 with Laura Linney and Jessica Hecht. No intermission and play lasted for 90 minutes. These two amazing actresses kept talking throughout the entire 90 minutes. They we kept the audiences laughing and chuckling throughout the play. Had a fantastic time. You should go see this play if you get the chance. Play ends on June 10.

Came here to see "The collaboration", and last month I had seen "Almost famous" I always sit mezzanine front row. The seats are comfortable and the staff are real nice and it's very upbeat.

Will-call line was exceedingly long, because apparently some bigwig was attending the play. Vaccination records and IDs were checked, bags searched, and we were all wanded and had our ankles grabbed by a guard. Play started 30 minutes late. This is a small theater, with a small stage and not-great acoustics. There are assisted-hearing devices available, but I didn't know that until the play was over, and my friend wanted to get to our seats after standing in line for so long. So I had trouble hearing the actors. My friend, who has perfect hearing, said that she had trouble too. It's a pretty theater, right in the theater district, but sadly the play was boring AF. And LONG. No intermission. My friend and I both fell asleep, and so did the gentleman next to me. The seats are staggered and deeply sloped, so no problems with anyone blocking your view. Restrooms are on the lower level, and of course those lines were very long, too, especially since there was no intermission.

If you're fallowing me on here you know I'm a fan of experiences... I love art, art history, music, theater, etc etc. I once flew all the way to London just to see HAMILTON... This play was a date night idea, I had no idea Basquiat was her favorite artist.. Anywho from the moment I arrived at the theater all of the attendants were super helpful and attentive. The ushers were the life of the party before the play even started. It was pure Vibez, the music had everyone dancing and the play engulfed you utterly. Please take a moment out of your busy lives to live a little and catch this on broadway. The name of the play is the Collaboration a story about Andy Warhol and Jean- Michel Basquiat

Love this theater, one of the most comfortable seats in Broadway with really generous leg room. There's no bad seat the stage is quite big and it doesn't stretch very wide so even on the side still have really good view. The theater is smaller than a lot of other places but it's cozy and clean. Currently playing how I learn to drive as of June 2022

Welcome BACK! That was the greeting I received from the usher when I arrived on Wednesday September 16, 2021. Ruben Santiago-Hudson's Lackawanna Blues is presently housed here. I've always enjoyed coming to this theater. Although considered smaller than others in the same area, it's exactly what I like about it. I sat in the orchestra section, to the right of the stage. Frankly speaking, there isn't a bad seat in the house. I've sat in the mezzanine, rear mezzanine on other occasions. I've always been able to see and hear clearly. The new pandemic guidelines require theater guests to show identification along with proof of vaccination. I found lines weren't any longer outside than usual. The security and theater personnel kept things moving smoothly. After showing these proofs and a quick bag check, I was in! Along with the standard "turn your phone off" announcement, we are now directed to keep masks on at all times while in the theater. I had the opportunity to talk with two other people who were there last night. Our excitement could not be contained! Through scrunched up eyes that lit up, I could "see" smiles. And masks certainly did not stop us from shouting "BRAVO" at the end of the performance! Broadway is BACK!!! And I for one, couldn't be happier!!!

Beautiful interior takes you back in time. The theater has been around since 1925. Very clean. Nice bathrooms. No food or drinks offered. Great show.

Nice theater. I wanted to see the Collaboration but didn't want to spend too much. I sat in one of the last rows of the balcony and I had a perfect view. There are bathrooms on the top level as well as the basement. The elevator is super small and super slow. Get ready to work your glutes on the stairs. Stage door is outside and to the right!

Wife and I attended "Skeleton Crew" last night starring Phylicia Rashad and had a wonderful time. We had one hiccup-the couple in front of us was annoying, so we asked manager if she could place us elsewhere. Not only did she-she moved us 4 rows center stage! OMG-excellent seats!!! The staff here are amazing!! Can't thank them enough-great play & great time!!! Thanks

Loved this theatre! Considering this is a Broadway theatre, it's not really HUGE, which I love. I sat in the mezz section, and the seats were really comfy and roomie. Unlike other Broadway theatres, their mezz section actually had a lot of leg room. Big Yay!! The live orchestra was incredible and the sound system in the theatre was fantastic - nothing beats live music. Great view from mezz since the theatre wasn't huge. The entire staff (from security to ushers to ticket sales) were very professional and pleasant.....and dare I say, friendly?!?! hahaha (Sadly, I can't say that about every Broadway theatre). Theatre is very clean; upholstery looked new. All-in-all, very pleasant experience. Will definitely be back to see other shows!

I've always had enjoyable theatre experiences here from Tyne Daly in Master Class to Mark Ruffalo in Awake and Sing. Memorable moments and performances. What's great about this theatre is the viewer can see from whatever seating option he gets. The chairs are comfy and more importantly there is LEG room. I'll repeat them at: LEG room is significant. This is also a beautiful theater: from the majestic ceiling to the velvety seating. There is a lounge area with a bar that provides drinks and snacks. If you decide to partake in this you are treated to a glorious view of Times Square. So if you get to the theatre a bit early, visiting the Lounge is a must. The customer service is exceptional: we ordered our tickets on TodaysTix and normally they are timely in providing ticket pickup. The doorman was extremely courteous and told me not to worry and where to wait for them(even though I already knew this info)They also allow bottled water in the theatre which is really nice. Some theaters treat patrons as airport guests and shrilly admonish you for bringing in bottled water! I plan on attending many many more performances at this theatre! A+ all around!

First off, thank you to all the Yelpers here who really helped me know what to expect at this theatre! Especially Joshua R. who I had a great convo with prior to our trip. This is a very nice theatre! Granted, it was my first Broadway experience, and I had only ever been to another theatre in the East Village which is pretty tiny. We arrived early, right before doors opened. Then we ventured downstairs to the lounge (I think there is also one upstairs for those sitting up in the mezzanine.) There are restrooms, the bar, and free coat lockers down there. If you have time, review the cocktail menu as they usually have a featured drink to go with the theme of the show. For $3 (at the time of this review), you can get a tumbler to take your cocktail into the show with you! The bartender was great and even gave me a top-off when I realized this late and wanted to take it with me. Now I have a cool souvenir to boot! I'm a tall gal, and the seats had plenty of room for my legs as we sat down in the orchestra section near the front. The staff was very helpful in directing me to where the stage door was so we could say hi to the actors afterward. (Luckily, not a big interest in that this particular night so we had some wonderful conversation with a couple of them!) Great experience with our first Broadway production for our anniversary trip. Would definitely come here again!

Today my wife and I saw "The Height of the Storm" and sat in the orchestra section. Seats were comfortable and it was extremely easy to get into and out of the theater. My wife gives this place 2 thumbs up.

For our last show for Broadway Week, we stopped by TKTS to grab OUTSIDE MULLINGAR.....this was a happy circumstance as the other 2 Plays we actually had tried to see, had been cancelled for the Super Bowl Got Orch Row J seats - there was awesome legroom & perfect views. Sound was okay, if a little low at times but not bad enough to miss out on anything The Play itself was delightful surprise & super sweet. We are so happy we got to see it & had the opportunity to visit Samuel J Friedman Theatre - 1 of our fav theater venues!

I came here to watch Constellations. Cool concept, a bit gimmicky. Not a huge fan of the production. Ruth Wilson was really incredible though. Jake was surprisingly muted - maybe used to the big screen and zoom-ins? Definitely less animated. The theater itself is quite small. But do note that the mezzanine is relatively high up, so you won't get to see faces (disappointing for me personally - I wanted to see those baby blues!). The seats are pretty small and cramped; don't expect to be comfortable. I was sitting up most of the time.

We were surprised at how small the theatre was, but there were no bad seats. The acoustics we're quite good. The only issue is that the one bathroom is down several flights of stairs, along with the bar and shop. There is a small elevator, but there is no signage and the ushers on the entrance level did not tell people about the elevator. The bathroom was clean and the vendors were pleasant. There is an interesting display in the lower lobby about the long-time history of the theatre. It is worth going downstairs just to see that!

So happy with this renovated theater. Smallish venue with downstairs lounge, elevator access and clean spacious ladies' room. Enjoyed the spacious leg room and adequate seat width. We sat in the orchestra to see "Ink", sight lines were fairly good despite a tall man sitting in front of me. Unfortunately the adult guy behind me must have had OCD as he kicked my seat repeatedly throughout the play. But that's not the theater's fault is it.

A nice theatre. The seats have a good amount of legroom, particularly when compared to older Broadway theaters. The doors open a little earlier than most Broadway theaters, allowing attendees an opportunity to use the restroom without a long last-minute line. The staff is helpful.

MTC's renovation of the Biltmore/Samuel J Friedman Theatre is quite incredible. All the modern conveniences of a new Broadway house with the classic architecture and features of the 1920's. There is not a bad seat in the theatre...with just over 600 seats, every view is great. Front mezzanine and center orchestra are of course the best, but don't dismay if you have to sit in the rear orchestra or rear mezzanine!

A beautifully restored little theater off broadway where you can see a lot of great plays. Today I'm seeing The Other Place with Laurie Metcalf. The theater has two sections with a small balcony, giving patrons a great seat no matter where you sit. The seats are comfortable and they run on time, which is a good thing. If its cool out, there is a Starbucks right around the corner where you can go beforehand to warm up. I would recommend seeing a show at this establishment.

The Country House - with Blythe Danner My friend and I bought tickets for Broadway's 2 for 1 week and decided to see The Country House on its opening night of previews. I have never seen a show so "new" to the stage before and I was pleasantly surprised with how well the cast did considering it was their first performance with an audience. Blythe Danner is a class act and it was more than a treat to see her on stage live. That said, the whole cast did a great job. Sarah Steele, who plays Susie, the youngest of the characters, was a show stopper - amazing delivery, sarcastic, to the point, blunt yet relatable. Daniel Sunjata, likely best known now for his lead role on the TV series Graceland, was perfect as the lust interest of pretty much all women in the play (and beyond). But truly, hats off to Eric Lange, his role as Elliot - the uncle/son (depending on perspective) who is so caught up in his own less successful life that he brings the family down and is tirelessly focused on the negative. He plays his part so powerfully, and so emotionally raw, I commend him. The story is about family love, loss, success, failure, fame and fortune. Set in the Berkshires, near Williamstown, MA, the play takes you right into the lives of this one family as it copes with the recent passing of one of their own along with the drama that naturally follows life in the theater. I highly suggest seeing this show while it is on Broadway.

Beautifully refurbished theatre with loads of legroom, comfortable seats and an elevator. Their current production of "St. Joan" is excellent. Thought provoking, well staged and acted. Consolation Rashad is superb as Joan.

This is one of NYC's best theaters to catch a play. Easy access to the orchestra, comfortable seats, realistic leg room, small and intimate environment. They have an elevator for those that may need. The downstairs lounge is just big enough and the restrooms are modern. The staff is very professional and accommodating. If there is a show you want to see here, don't let anything stop you, and go for orchestra seats.

I love any theater that has seats that are wide. I've seen several plays in this theater and would come back in a heartbeat. The theatre is ultra comfy and the staff is always helpful and nice to me. I did notice a few times that there should be mikes for the actors so I can hear the actors better but for the most part I heard everything. Maybe I just have hearing issues.

A lot of bad things happened the year I was born. - A horrible recession. - The USSR performed a nuclear test in Eastern Kazakhstan. ...and, the beloved Biltmore Theatre burnt to the ground due to arson. It laid in ruins for over a decade. Rejected by the useless New York City landmark commission and helplessly overlooked by the mighty money laden. The little theatre knew in its heart however that one day it would resonate with the sounds of clapping again and that benefactors were coming as fast as they could. Seemingly frozen in delapidation, it received a jolt in 2001. Contractors excavated and elevated it with Wedgwood and Rococo themes. Beautifully plush, golden velvet seats filled the empty gums of the theatre--- a classic, heavy red curtain was added (gold tassels at the bottom too, of course!). The ceiling was painstakingly plastered by some of the finest artists 35 million dollars could buy. Glowing in glory--- brighter than it has ever known--- the burnished Bitlmore became the majestic Samuel J. Friedman Theatre per the Manhattan Theatre Club. Eight years later (8 is very, very lucky in China), the little disaster girl of 1987 would sit in perfect comfort watching David Hyde Pierce play the title role in "Accent on Youth." She watched it surrounded by immaculate beauty and exacting acoustics all while resting her head on her most beloved friend since elementary school, Laila S. Walking out of the thoroughly enjoyable and hilarious play on the luscious carpeting felt like floating out of the venue on a cloud.

The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre is a theater located in the Theater District. The building has been around since '25, and was originally known as the Biltmore (a fire destroyed the interior; the MTC then purchased it, doing renovations). They offer series of productions, as well as various events (such as galas, reading series, cultural tours, and benefit events). This theater prides in themselves by offering different genres and a wide arrange of productions, so that it caters to even those with a discerning taste. Currently, they're playing 'Constellations,' featuring Ruth Wilson (!!!) and Jake Gyllenhaal. You can purchase tickets via their box office, as well as check out other productions on their website. I highly recommend that after the show, situate yourself next to the exit doors near the parking garage that connects to the building. The stars come out to their waiting car, and they are willing to take pictures/selfies and autographs! I was fortunate enough to snap a few with the stars (totally turned into a fan girl), and the hubs was able to take exchange a conversation as well as shake hands (LUCKY). Definitely a theater you should check out for some shows while you're in the city! :D +located in the Theater District +have the opportunity to catch the stars by the exit area (near the parking garage)

The theater was great, the plays I have seen here have been mixed. Loved the Fool for Love, the Airline Highway was so so, and Our Mother's Brief Affair was seriously lacking. However, you can't blame the theater, and the theater is great. Come see a show here!

The theatre is nice and a somewhat luxurious, however I am disappointed in the fact that there refills are $5.00, and they were all sold out of magnets. Front row premiere circle (Row AA mezzanine) has little legroom, but very comfy seats, however the people behind us might have had more legroom, as we had them compare with us. There was an usherette who was a bit rude. We were let in, but the auditorium did not open until later (we were not told of this and an usherette had told us to leave the auditorium until it was open; she assured us it was not our fault which it certainly wasn't; the door the the auditorium was closed so we had to open it and took this as a red flag for if the auditorium were open the door likely would be too). Prince of Broadway was okay, but at certain points rather boring. The actors, actresses, and orchestra however, were amazing. The show was mainly a showcase of Hal Prince's works and subtly told his career story, however I thought it would focus more on his story and its behind-the-scenes/backstage story. The actors and actresses were very nice and sweet when I met them!

Saw the performance of Constellations here last night staring Jake Gyllenhaal and Rita Wilson. Great performance and a great play! But of course this review is supposed to be about the theater, not a play which will probably be long out of production by the time you read this. I really like the Friedman Theatre. It had the charm of an old style theatre, but with the warmth of appropriate modern renovations having been made. Nothing overly fancy mind you. I also really appreciate that this is a not for profit company --- this frees the theatre up to host truly independent productions like Constellations. They don't need to hunker down for some long running Broadway production. Friedman is a great place to see a play. So if you get a chance, don't hesitate to go here. In fact - if they are hosting a performance, it might just be worth the effort to see it simply because the theatre has chosen to give the show a home. I know that I will be keeping my eye on this place in the future to see what comes next.

Beautiful theater! Went to see living on love a few weeks ago and more recently airline highway. Both were amazing. Airline highway was a very beautiful painting of a group of lost people who found each other, it forces you to reflect on your own choices and life. Gorgeously put together and a real treat.

Since I've seen most of the long running musicals already and didn't want to spring over $200 for Book of Mormon,, I ended up watching the Tony's for ideas of what I might want to see for my matinee. When I saw Judith Light win a Tony for her portrayal of Faye, Assembled Parties went right up to the top of my list. The revolving set for this play is great and the more intimate theater in comparison to some other Broadway is refreshing as I feel like everyone could probably see. The front mezzanine that hangs over the orchestra is a great option so you can look down vs. up at the stage but still be close enough to see the details!!

Prince of Broadway is a Hal Prince Greatest Hits revue. The book I mediocre, but it features such great songs as Old Man River; Tonight; Don't Cry for Me Argentina; Cabaret; etc sung by a very talented cast. In this small, comfy theater, who needs fancy sets or a cohesive story line?

Florian Zeller, the French playwright of The Height of the Storm excels in inuendo because as Andre (Jonathan Pryce) states, "People who try to understand things are morons." Pryce is a roaring, selfish literary lion. Eileen Atkins plays Madeleine, his wife of 50 years, the glue that keeps the couple together. The plot intimates that someone has died with the delivery of an anonymous bouquet of flowers. Anne (Amanda Drew) searches for a card and a vase as she appears to get André's papers and journals ready for posthumous publication. It is Madeleine's appearance with mushrooms and gossip from shopping that makes the audience wonder whether Andre is hallucinating his late wife's image. Another daughter, Élise (Lisa O'Hare) shows up seemingly after the funeral services. To add to the ambiguity, The Woman (Lucy Cohu) could be Andre's longtime former lover who bore him a son that Andre has never acknowledged. This wrinkle adds to the climax of the storm and possible unraveling of a perfect relationship. The parents' marriage is in stark contrast to Elise's series of lovers and Anne's dissolving marital bonds. The Woman could also be a representative of the Blue House, a nursing home for which Andre's daughters are preparing him. Add The Man, Elise's latest paramour Paul, a real estate agent who visits the house to meet Andre and look over a prospective sale. Yet another hint to the convoluted plot is the story of a couple who go to the same hotel in which they honeymooned to take poison mushrooms in a suicide pact. This is the same hotel coincidentally that Andre and Madeleine spent their honeymoon. The plot line remains unsolvable even with the lighting blotting out Madeleine in the final scene. Mr. Pryce, aged 72, and Ms. Atkins, aged 85, are extraordinary in their roles. Mr. Pryce's tremors make him pathetic, frightened, and agitated but always transparent. Ms. Atkins doesn't shake. She's not transparent, either. Madeleine is a mother who does not comfort her offspring unlike their father. In fact, she tells Anne in no uncertain terms not to meddle in their lives and finds it a relief when both girls leave the house. This exquisite acting exercise does not compensate for the unanswerable questions in the script. As my husband noted, there were no big themes that were not done more satisfyingly in other plays dealing with infidelity, aging, loss of memory, and impending death.

To be honest there really isn't a bad seat in this theatre . I can attest to this because I went to see Choir Boy this past Sunday and I was in the rear mezzanine section . Even from the tippy top of the section I could still hear Jeremy Popes lovely voice singing and even out witting other characters throughout the play . The seating was comfortable and I was lucky enough to have a free seat next to me just in case I needed to stretch my legs . The bathroom stalls are standard on the top floor and believe or not the bathroom feels a bit like a sauna upon entry . There is also a lounge where you can buy snacks and drinks if you want to . As far as the decor inside the theatre , I found it to be absolutely beautiful . The theatre looked well maintained and clean. All of the staff members were kind and accommodating . However , they are very adamant about their cell phone policy and they inform you before the play starts of how customers will be reprimanded if they are caught using their devices to video tape any part of the play . I had a great experience at this theatre and I hope to have the opportunity to return to this theatre again.

This year it was Casa Valentina at this theatre. The acting was great; and the production was good. Another great Harvey Fierstein show. It explored a different time in our history; whether you are comfortable with the subject. People should go see the show.

Last minute tickets to see August Wilson's Jitney. We were in the last row. The show was amazing. I had friends who had never seen a Broadway show. This theatre and performance changes their lives. Great introduction. I would have given it 5 stars but one of the ushers was a bit grumpy.

Today we saw "The Other Place" (which will be there through February 24) and it was a very compelling & well-acted play. The theater is really lovely; it's elegant but understated - and the seats were comfortable, plus there was plenty of leg room (we sat in the second row). Also, the theater staff were all really pleasant.

This is one of the most comfortable theaters on Broadway since its restoration over a decade ago. The seats are plush and there is plenty of legroom compared to other houses. The seating capacity was reduced in the renovation, so now it seats just over 600 and sightlines are good from anywhere, so sit wherever you can afford. I also like that there are entrances to the mezzanine both at the low end and in the back, so there's less clogging of doorways when you exit. There's a spacious lounge downstairs where the restrooms are with lots of photos of past productions. This is a Manhattan Theatre Club space and their offerings have been very hit or miss the last few years, but that's not the fault of the house. If there's a show you're interested in seeing that's playing here, you'll be very comfortable. If the play is no good, you can drown your sorrows at the Rum House at the Edison down the block.

we went to a play called "the columnist" at the Friedman Theatre. It is based on a true story. The acting was incredible and the story was riveting and very serious. At times really sad. I really recommend this play. Its not a musical. Great show

A beautifully intimate theater, but don't let its size fool you - it features nice wide seats and generous aisles. Very well maintained. Generous ushers and clean restrooms. I get excited when I hear a play is heading there.

On the narrow side for theaters, but I like how steep the balcony is, as you don't get a surprise obstructed view when Andre the Giant sits in front of you. Seats are wide enough. Rows are a little crunched. So you definitely have to stand when someone needs to pass you. Ushers can be hit or miss. For WIT there was some curt treatment. For THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES, all personnel were lovely. Both times I could've used better air conditioning (they don't have the unabashedly cool setting on). But most folks are fine with that. They tend to house quality events. So truly can't complain. And the artwork within the ceiling architecture is quite lovely, in a simplistic way.

I love the Friedman. I volunteer usher here quite a bit (basically I hand out Playbills and direct patrons to the restrooms) and see plays for free. The quality of plays here is usually stellar (currently showing the Tony nominated "The Assembled Parties") but the theater itself is a star, with comfortable seats, an elevator, TWO stocked bars and TWO sets of restrooms (one in the lower level and the other in the mezzanine). They also have a small shop on the lower level where texts of plays can be purchased along with other merchandise. Being one of the smaller B'way houses, there is not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are great. They do provide listening devices though for the hard of hearing.

Extremely unpleasant usher staff. Does not make one feel like an honored guest in their theater. I will make a point of warning all friends and visitors to avoid attending any performances here since it has left such a horrible memory for what should have been a nice theater experience. AWFUL staff -should not be in a customer service position. Doesn't even deserve a single star.

I came here to watch Constellations and I would say the theater here is pretty typical. The box office area is very small so be prepared to spend a decent amount of time to pick up your tickets since they only have two windows. The theater itself is also quite small so even if you have cheap seats you have a pretty decent view of the stage. The seats weren't particularly comfortable and they are small so what you get is really like being in an airliner in terms of space.
