"Kensington High Street is one of our favourite places for people-watching. The dogs get their hair cut more often than us, everyone strolls like they’ve got nowhere to be in particular, and a window seat at Iraqi spot Samad Al Iraqi is the perfect place to take it all in. Complimentary lentil soup is set in front of you as soon as you sit down, setting the tone that this is a place for warm hospitality and great Iraqi food. It’s a popular spot for those reasons—on any given weekday you’ll find families having a masgouf lunch (traditional Iraqi grilled fish) in the dark, wood-filled dining room. The curtains are heavy, the chairs are heavy, and so will your stomach once you leave. Lamb-topped hummus and the six different types of minced meat-stuffed kubbah are highlights of the menu. We had an amazing dinner experience, first time visitors - first of many more to come! Service was super friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was spectacular! Iraqi Bread and Lentil Soup as appetizers - just awesome! Loved the Qoozi Sham main course, delicious rice with a dozen kinds of spices and condiments, chicken and lamb. Just delicious! Then their kunafa for dessert, was the best we had in Dubai so far. Super recommended!

The Iraqi kebab was so good—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also tried their cocktail layers, super tasty, yummmm. The beetroot salad was fresh and light, a nice addition to the meal. What made the experience even better was that as soon as we sat down, they brought out lentil soup and freshly baked bread—such a nice, welcoming touch. Overall, the food was great, and it’s a place we’d definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some authentic Iraqi dishes!

Love it! They serve unlimited bread, as long as the bowl is empty, they’ll put a freshly baked one into it. The flatbread is wheaty and fluffy.

We came here for the fish and had Helwaiwa at the recommendation of the manager and it was exceptional! Their fattoush also one of the best we’ve had, very fresh and well seasoned ! Lamb shoulder was also nice but we were too full had most of it takeaway. Service was second to none very hospitable, caring and professional. Will sure be back !

The food quality is like always good but the service and staff were not enough professional and attending to each table as well. I ordered penne pasta but they brought fettuccine pasta and my child couldn't wait more time and we didn't exchange it, also I asked to bring chai and halva but they forgot!! I asked to put two bread and pickles with my parcel taken away again they are forgotten, It made the sad end of memory of our latest experience in your restaurant
