"As the appeal of the fishing village of Laborie grows among the island's visitors, new food options have appeared. In a beachfront locationjust steps from the main village dock, newcomer Salt Rush Cafe is a welcome addition to the area's bohemian, laid-back atmosphere. Thelime-green buildingwith a couple of wooden picnic tables set directly on the sand in front isa welcome sight after a walk on the beach. Expect beachy food (the fish tacos are popular) and local options ranging from coconut rice to ribs. Sunsets are gorgeous here, too, and made even more perfect with a smoothie or rum cocktail."

The Salt Rush Cafe is placed in quiet, calm and secluded village Laborie, also it has an absolutely fantastic view on Caribbean Sea. The service is very nice, so are meals. I've had a fish with tasty corn cake as main dish and for dessert delightful banana bread with cup of good coffee.

The host was fab, the fish and rum punch were great, plus a fantastic beachfront view without mobs of package tourists in the vicinity. Wouldn't recommend the chicken though.

Wow best place in St Lucia, great fresh food, cold drinks, amazing views, fair prices, warm and welcoming owner. If it is not paradise it looks like it.

Like most restaurants in St Lucia, this one serves fish, chicken, or whatever might be available with a Creole sauce and "ground provisions" (starchy roots like cassava and eddoe). Service is friendly but slow. Food quality has been sketchy with this new cafe. Some food is re-used, so to speak. I once got chicken tacos made with leftover barbeque chicken. The sauce hadn't even been washed off. Last time I ate there. They often sell frozen instead of fresh fish because their business is so slow. Locals do not eat here, which is a big tipoff. View is spectacular. Nice place for a beer or two.

This was the perfect end to our trip. Very local village where literally everyone is kind and welcoming. Wilson, the owner, was one of the friendliest people we have ever met. I recommend anyone in St Lucia to stop by, you won't regret it. The food is delicious. This was one of my favorite rum punches on the island. And the sunset... Was perfect.

Food, smoothies, beers, and kayaks. Owner is super cool and the location is ideal. Swim in calm water with a sandy bottom - no stones here.

Salt Rush Cafe is definitely the best restaurant in Laborie. A unique gem in a small and beautiful village. Wilson and his family took great care of us for several nights. Amazing food and an amazing view, all surrounded by local people, their stories and the sound of waves. I didn't want anything more. Wilson was very kind and gave both my wife and I great service. The food cooked by his wife is amazing. I loved the chicken wrap with seasoned fries. The view of the sea is also breathtaking. We would go here again if in town. Please visit them when in Laborie, St. Lucia!
