Famous curry crab must try. We got seated beside the front entrance. It’s kind of cold when customer are walking in and out the restarant. The pineapple fried rice is tasty as well. Overall, we had a great time enjoying the food and service is ok.

Been coming here for years. The big boss is so sweet and friendly. Can definitely chat you up and convince you to try some of the good stuff. Always great recommendations. Never disappointed. Curry sauce crab is the GOAT. Try it with the roti bread or toasty hot banh mi.

Timeless Curry Crab at Saigon Star.
西贡星 in Richmond Hill never fails to impress, especially with their sautéed curry crab (咖喱炒蟹). This dish is a must-have—no matter how many years pass, you’ll still find yourself loving it just as much as the first time. The crab is fresh, the curry sauce is rich and flavorful, and every bite is simply unforgettable. It’s a true classic that keeps us coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great seafood and authentic flavors!

First time coming here. Glad we did.
Service was awesome and attentive.
The food was amazing 😍 there was nothing we didn't like from the multitude of dishes our table of 8 ordered. Will definitely try out the signature curry crab and bun bo hue next time.
Theres a combo special as well for soup, app and drink.
Prices were wayy decent for the amount of food and how good it was.
They even threw in free red bean dessert for us at the end.
10/10 would definitely recommend. It's our go to pho place now.

A classic spot for Vietnamese & Thai cuisine! As a curry lover, I’m obsessed with their famous House Specialty Curry Crab. The curry is uniquely seasoned with black pepper, giving it a rich, flavorful kick. The crab is huge, and absolutely divine when paired with their roti.
The Mixed Veggies Hot Pot is another great pick—a refreshing and light dish that perfectly complements the bold flavors of the curry. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable meal!

Our family road tripped from Chicago to Toronto this week, and my dad was especially excited for the great Chinese and Asian cuisine Toronto offers. Seeing the menu of Saigon Star piqued his interest, so we all decided to have our last meal here before we left.
Ricky, our server, was very friendly! We ordered the fresh baked oysters and wow, it was incredibly delicious! We also ordered the curry crab and the sauce was amazing, especially with rice.
Overall, we had a lovely experience. If we ever find ourselves back in Toronto, we’ll be sure to visit again. Thank you!

Relaxed atmosphere. Get a booth seat. The staff are helpful with their explanations and prompt service. Good food. It's been a staple in the area.
We got curry and also a cutlet. The fried rice is really nice and take the sauce home to continue to marinate.

We went there for the curry crab and it didn't disappoint us, except that it's a bit on the salty side. A 10-15% salt reduction would be just perfect!. We ended up putting in a second order.
The combo for six was a good way to sample the various dishes, since you can enjoy seafood, pork, chicken, veggies and soup. We also appreciate the friendly service. One final thing is that the air quality in the dining room needs to be improved.
