I recently visited this breakfast spot in Zurich with my wife and kids, and we all enjoyed the experience. My first plate offered a delightful mix of flavors with scrambled eggs, various cheeses, fresh fruit, and yogurt – a great balance between savory and sweet that appealed to all ages. The second dish, topped with a creamy sauce and garnished with fresh greens, complemented the sides of ham nicely. The ingredients felt fresh, and the presentation was well done. Prices are rather high though.

Very charming place — but sadly, a big disappointment: I’ve known this spot for many years, as it’s in my neighborhood, and have always liked it. However, I went back this morning and was really disappointed by how much the quality and service have dropped. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get the menu. When the food finally arrived, it was completely cold. The bread wasn’t fresh, and the scrambled eggs had a strange, almost artificial taste — more like egg paste than freshly prepared eggs — and they were cold as well. And then there’s the cost. Nearly 80 francs for some stale bread, a few slices of cheese, inedible eggs, a cold eggs Benedict, two cappuccinos, and two orange juices? That’s just unreasonable. I have no problem paying for good food and service — but this was far from it. Unfortunately, I think this was my last visit.

Lovely spot for an afternoon coffee. They also serve lunch meals, but I didn’t try it. The croissant was great, so was the coffee. Service was fast. If you want to come for a meal around lunchtime, I recommend reserving a table since the cafe got pretty busy. The only negative was the staff being slightly preoccupied during busy lunchtime and therefore not being the most pleasant to talk to, they seemed stressed.

A nice place for a good moment. I went for a lunch with a friend and we enjoyed a tasty salad with caramelized goat cheese. A piece of good bred and water too. The restaurant is bright and cozy but the tables are arranged very close together, it is not easy to move between them. The service is great (thank you!) and friendly. I think the price is in line with Zürich, 22 CHF for a salad (it could be a little bit cheaper). I'll go again ;)

Cute little cafe with simple wooden furniture. Feels quite student-y or hipster-y, in a good way. Friendly service. There’s a small number of indoor tables, and I was grateful that they kept the door open for ventilation. There’s also a larger amount of outdoor seating, but it was raining when I went so I didn’t use it. Overall people seemed to be having a cheerful time, and I wouldn’t mind going back if I’m in the area!

Located in the middle of this cozy square, this cafe is a favorite for many reasons. It has managed to attract its customer base with both the flavor of its coffee and the variety of its menus. Also, the outdoor seating areas make for incredibly pleasant moments, especially on a nice sunny day.

Yelp
C du B is a French-run cafe set just across from the inviting Bullingerplatz in Kreis 4. Fortunately, we initially happened upon the cafe on a gorgeous, sunny day. The outside seating was just about full, there were folk and bikes dotting the bit of blocked-off roadway running in front of the place and people sitting on the edge of the fountain with drinks in hand. The whole scene was very relaxed and inviting. Given the warm weather, I was in the mood for a brewski and chose a tasty German lager in bottle. C du B, of course, also offers solid Swiss beers on tap, among other libations. Our next visit was this morning and we were in the mood for coffee and a nibble. Brunch is offered between the hours of ten and two, I believe, but we decided to go somewhat light and chose both a croissant and choco-croissant to share. The espresso drinks (we drank a couple of capps followed by a cafe au lait) were excellent and made with care. The baked goods were top-notch and washed down well with our lovely cafe au lait (in a bowl, naturalmente). Beyond brunch, an a la carte dinner menu is offered in the evenings and I look forward to returning soon to C du B to sample their fare!

Yelp
Five stars for the best patio in Wiedikon, three stars for the service and the quality of the coffee. I heard the guys who run the café were very nice, so how come they don't manage to hire or train staff to transmit a bit of that friendliness?! It's not that the staff are downright unfriendly but they just behave as if they couldn't care less about the service they provide. Smile, don't smile, who cares? It does not make you wanna go back. At all. The beer is beer and the soy cappuccino is nothing special at all unfortunately. Haven't dared to try the food, lest the kitchen staff are as passionate about their job as their colleagues. The patio is the best and the decor is hipstery, so come on, guys, un sourire et le bonheur est bouclé!

Yelp
We came here today for brunch with four friends.surprisingly we even got a table. The server was very friendly and welcoming. We got a whole carafe of water. Hidden treasure close to the station Hardplatz. They serve Henauer coffee. Coffee is pretty good, prices are reasonable (at least when it comes to the drink menu), food compared to the drinks is for my taste quite expensive. All in all a great spot!

Yelp
A friend and I went to Café du Bonheur today, curious about the place, having walked past it a few times already. The terrace looks nice, as well as the interior. That's about it. The staff was arrogant and overwhelmed. They were obviously understaffed and it took them 15min to get our orders and another 15 minutes to serve us our cappuccino and café crème. Coffee tasted good, but nothing exceptional. Coffee is pricey for the neighborhood.

Yelp
This is a comfortably neighbourhood coffee shop steps away from Hardplatz. Not the best cappuccino I've ever tasted, but it was pleasant enough and pleasantly strong. This is your place to sit for long periods of time reading the news or just staring out the window and not feel rushed by crowds vying for your table. On warm days, you can sit at their outdoor tables doing those same things. They also have a simply but satisfying brunch menu. I will be back!

Yelp
Super friendly staff, great coffee and food, and nice mellow vibe for the morning. Definitely will return & highly recommend. Mini-burger is excellent.
